These lights are excellent and run cool. They interface easily with the Hue hub that you have to buy separately (I learned this after buying these.) There are older and newer versions of this light and I can't tell the difference between them yet. I set mine up in the kitchen to splash color on the tile backdrop and I still haven't moved them as I love their warm accent - they also stay on as a night light. I don't use the app much to change them, but it is easy to use. I originally bought these to put on top of bookcases in a dark living room to give more daylight to the ceiling; I will have to buy more to do this as I don't want to take them away from the kitchen. The only room for improvement is they both have an ugly white 'wall wart' AC adapter. The housing is made of metal. They diffuse light to a wall very well.

Have quite a few hue lights. Needed one behind the fire place behind a pictures and works well

I am using 2 of these lights for corner accent lighting. Small but the purfect amount of light.

This was part of my first step into smart lighting. I bought two of these and use them as accent lights in a bedroom. Setup was straightforward and connected to my home app in iOS via the HUE app. Though they are accent lighting they are bright enough to light up the room.

These lights are very cool. I have them in several locations and also sitting on top of my fish tanks. Great affect at night. I downloaded Hue Switcher and there is a lava lamp function that brightens and dims through a color spectrum that's also pretty cool at night.

This is great for accent lighting. Works perfect when getting off work and not waking up the whole house!

Does exactly as stated, integrates nicely. Not the brightest but sufficiently casts light.

I have a few of these for ambiance. They look nice reflecting off the walls. I have them controlled with Google Home and the Hue bridge. I have them with other Hue lights and they all create a beautiful ambiance. I'd give 5 stars if the base came in black as well as white.

I love that this light recreates the colors that the regular hue bulbs can't produce like teal green ect.

Aweome lighting , especially behind the tv. Adds a very nice ambiance to my living room.

I love the ability to set scenes and use this to wake up to a natural looking daylight.

I have 2 of these as accents in my living-room and for that they are great. They don't throw a ton of light, but as an accents, they work well. The only down side is they are a little pricey, but so are all huge bulbs.

Excellent product. I highly recommend it. Beautiful lighting and controllable from my iPad or phone.

I have this on my desk facing the corner and it really adds a nice accent to my computer area. Like with all of the other Philips Hue lights, it takes less than 1 minute to add the light to your network. It produces beautiful colors and responds very quickly when using the Hue app.

This light really puts out a lot of brightness and color. Some of the reviews I read said that it wasn't bright enough, but I completely disagree. I think it's very bright and the color spectrum seems to have a lot more range than the Hue bulbs I have.

The Bloom accent lighting is a great way to paint a wall with accent colors. It works best in a dimmed room and effectively covers about a 6ft wide area. If you want to paint a long wall you will definitely want more than one of these, and at $60 each, that can be pricey.
