Philips Hue Bloom was a perfect addition to my Hue set-up in my living room. Love how it’s basically plug and play very easy set-up a caveman can do it. All lights sync together making your room feel like your in the Savana Sunset or the Aquatic Aurora. Also works with Google Home, you can tell google to Turn the lights on or off even tell google to set the brightness to a certain Percent.

Works well with the app. Light is very bright when facing the center of the room so it works better when reflected off of a wall. I think I would probably recommend the bowl shaped one instead. Also, there is a power cord attached which is not displayed in the pictures.

The hue bloom lights is amazing. So many colors and easily programmable from any smart phone. Can't wait to buy more.
FYI: You need a bridge and a place to plug in. Definitely buying wireless next to add to my collection in the house

For some they might think it is a pricey investment for colorful accent lighting. The way I have configured the lights I have has actually added pretty cool scenes to the atmosphere. I have them turning on certain times and with certain color patterns. Since I can adjust the brightness too I ended up using these more than my regular lights. The cool think is that it can work with other smart home setups so you can get creative when lights flash (i.e. receive text message this light blinks to let me know)
This light is in not as bright as the others but I do use it as an accent light near the TV so it adds just enough color/light to give some cool accents.

The light itself seems better then the more costly LED lighting strips you could buy since those require cutting, exact lengths and a bunch of other stuff. While the LED strips provide more "even" light around what you need them for, this light provides a big spotlight affect that I prefer more since my 65'' tv is in a corner of a white room.
And the blue color we use really dose help with eye strain when your staring at the tv for hours on end.
I do have some issues though that are more of a technical nature. The light requires a hub to use, which is sort of the size of a the box rokus. And in order to use the hub itself you need a smartphone so you can download the App that lets you adjust colors, brightness and other stuff. Which obviously a small minority will be stuck since they may not have a smartphone capable of downloading that App.
The other problem is I always forget to turn the light on because its on my phone. There is no way to turn on the light or adjust the color...etc unless you have the app. They need to have some options on the box itself to turn on the lights and adjust colors, even if they added a LCD screen or maybe just some simple buttons.
Even a remote would be useful since sometimes I will have people over and we are all set to watch something and I have to get up and look for my phone to turn the light and and adjust it. And get up again if I need to turn it off. With that said I still highly recommend this product. For eye strain relief alone its worth it.
Though if you think you want the LED strips I'd ask BB workers about that option to. There are pros and cons to the light vs the LED strip.

We use these throughout the house year-round. One was mounted in our pumpkin decorations, another in a Christmas lantern. They are easy to install, easier to control, and fun to use. They are even more practical when you use an allen wrench to remove the angled base. With the base off they are much smaller and can be placed inside of things. Using apps on your smartphone like Syfy Sync (will change the colors to match the colors on the TV screen of programs on the Syfy channel) and Hue Xmas (fun Christmas light and sound program!) to really make these lights come alive.

This was my first Hue purchase along with the hub. I had wanted to get some sort of adjustable lighting for mainly watching movies but didn't really want to spend the money. I am sure glad I did, we use it all the time now watching movies and sometimes just tv shows. I have since purchased a second bloom and the light strip plus which made the living room come to life. I highly recommend these products to anyone who is interested in automating your lighting and wants a complete selection of colors to choose from.

This light is another add-on to the Phillips Hue brand products. Make sure you have the wifi bridge thing that comes with a starter kit. I bought this individually and added it on to my new starter kit. It stopped working after only a couple days. The directions say to call phillips but I brought it back to Best Buy and did an easy exchange. It's been working for a couple weeks now and is pretty cool. These lights are cool, but I wish I purchased all my lights at Best Buy cuz they are so customer friendly in my opinion.

My family and I are having a wonderful time experimenting with these lights. For now, they are placed behind our main TV. I am looking forward to experimenting with a number of apps that can sync these lights to music, etc. The Philips Hue app provides ample control as well. The setup process was very easy, the Bloom lights required updates (which took FOREVER), but so far so good. Looking forward wot integrating with Apple HomeKit over the Christmas holiday.

This is a really cool light. Its a bit smaller than I expected, however it works as well as I imagined it would. The only issue I have with it is its not compatible with the "Reading". "Concentrate", "Energize", or "Relax" presets. Thus I had make custom presets to recreate these which was a bit of a pain.

Neat Little Addition

The Bloom is a neat little addition to an existing Phillips Hue LED kit owner. I have an Iris as well which puts out much more light than the Bloom but it also 2 - 3 times the size and awkwardly shaped. The Bloom is small enough to hide tuck away in a corner and go un-noticed until activated. The body also was surprisingly made of metal so it definitely has a premium feel.

I needed to buy another because I love these things so much. The colors are gorgeous, it is bright and makes my apartment look awesome. Only deducting a start because of the cord. I don't know why, but it really irks me. I wish there was a better way to cable manage it. To be fair though I guess this light is supposed to be almost hidden.

The Hue Bloom is my favorite purchase made from the Philips Hue line. The accent it give on the corner of my bedroom is exactly what I was looking for. I debated about this or the Go and am satisfied with my decision. The cord is real thin so it is easy to hide. I find it a bit pricey, but other than that no other complaints from me.

I bought my first one of these last year when I found one at an extremely low price on another site. I had heard of them before, but never tried it. It seemed a bit expensive for just a colored light. Now I have the Hue Bloom (this product) and Iris lights as uplights in my major rooms and my bedroom. I never believed a light that slowly changes color (or shows just the color of your choice) would make a difference in how I experience my own house, but it make everything so much better looking, and helps improve my mood too.
If you have the money for this type of purchase, I would urge you to give it a try. You also have to get at least one Hue internet bridge with buttons for controlling the lights, and you can get one of those separately or in a "starter kit".

Fantastic Addition To Philips Hue

The basic Hue system (which was recently updated to 2.0) offers 3 standard bulbs which are a solid base to starting your lighting design, however the fun comes when you're able to start splashing colors on the wall with the bloom. Lots of possibility opens up when you add one or two or three of these lights. Highly recommended if you own a Philips Hue system.

I got this as an addition to my existing Hue lights system for the kitchen. The light does a great job illuminating spaces, but its unique shape makes it hard to find places to set it down. In addition, you'll want to keep this bulb elevated as it' s extremely bright and will hurt your eyes if you look at it directly. Overall, great colors and a solid purchase.

I purchased the Philip Hue Bloom table light to be able to set the mood in my Theater room while watching movies. I am able to control color and dim it to different types of movies being shown. I'm in the process of setting it up to react with music being played. I feel a few more added to my system would be a benefit .
