    I purchased this receiver to manipulate various inputs and outputs, including Polk subwoofer, Samsung Blu-Ray player, Panasonic plasma TV, DirecTV console and Bose 5.1 surround sound. Everything is one-button controlled by a Logitech Harmony 650 remote. Easy to setup receiver; plug and play. Knob control is smooth and precise. Plenty of connection ports and output power. And it was discounted $200!

    I use Windows Media from my study PC to play in other rooms. I bought 2, plus two slightly older pioneer models to complete my network. Theater, living room, study, and kitchen. This unit I can update software directly from the Pioneer website. The only negative is the labeling of front panel buttons is practically unreadable in dim lighting.

    A major lightning strike fried the HDMI outputs on my Dennon A/V receiver. My speaker system cost me over $3,000. I decided to try this A/V receiver after reading the specifications. It was easy to set up in my network and has proven to be a great replacement for an A/V that cost me a lot more money.
