Great sound a lot better then the older models only didn't like the smaller size and no dvd

The sph da 120 or better known as the app radio 4 is an amazing media player for any double din opening vehicle with bluetooth, apple carplay, 2 usb ports and the ability to also be used in mirror mode with most newer android phones. No complaints here this system is basically perfect especially with apple carplay this unit really shines. The integration of siri hands free to this unit makes talking, texting , maps and music all a hands free thing!

I purchased this stereo to replace the Shaker 500 system in my 2006 Mustang GT. It sounds amazing! I could not believe the difference it made in the way it sounds over the stock stereo, which is supposed to be a great system. What sold me on this receiver over several others I looked at was the ability to use Apple Car Play. I like the fact that I can use it to view my navigation on the screen instead of having to look at my phone. The only downside to Car Play, which is not necessarily a big deal is the fact that Car Play will not work via blue tooth, you have to plug your phone in to use it. You also cannot use any other apps on your phone while using Car Play, for example "Shazam" or it shuts Car Play off. I assume it's because they don't expect anyone to need use of their phone or any apps on their phone, as they assume you are most likely driving while in the car and therefore should not be on your phone anyway. The clarity of the phone calls while using the stereo/microphone is extraordinary, I have no problem hearing the person on the other end and have found that they can hear me great as well. I have only had this stereo a couple weeks, I am certain I still have not figured out everything it's capable of doing, but overall, it's fairly easy to operate. I would definitely buy this stereo again. Very happy with my purchase!

Great improvement over stock radio in 2009 Ford Escape. Best Buy installed this 4200NEX with IdataLink Maestro RR, FD01 wiring kit, SiriusXM SXV300v1 tuner kit, and Scosche Dash Kit. Retained most steering wheel controls. Sound quality on Powerful is excellent. Sirius is more visual and easier to find stations on this unit. Can have CarPlay or Android Auto connected with naviagtion on and listen to HD Radio, CD or SiriusXM. Collects fingerprints easily and is hard to see with glare. Has a few bugs that I hope get fixed with firmware. One of Pioneer's best stereos.

Product does what I was hoping - provides maps on a large screen, allows hands free calling and interaction with pandora from my phone. UI is pretty easy to figure out, only complaint is that while it's meant to work with Waze, it's not intuitive and I still haven't figured it out. Not an issue if you are okay using Apple Maps for your primary navigation app.

It's a very nice idea, but still very small amount of apps works on it at least with iPhone, no whatsapp, no waze, no emails, etc. at the end just working Bluetooth, iMessage, If you use in other country even less, like no working map on many other markets out of USA At the end high price for low benefits

good radio but app radio mode works really bad if you want carplay only its ok

I bought this unit to replace the AVH-x3700BHS unit I had. I chose this one because of CarPlay which as much hate it receives, I really do like. The interface is simple to use and Siri eyes free is quick to respond to requests. The screen is beautiful and there is no delay when using the touchscreen. when in Nex mode the unit runs great but I can't say to much for android since I'm and iPhone user. I would definitely recommend this to a friend if they had the money to drop on a new head unit!

Bought this to replace the radio in my 2001 F250. Easy install and lots of great features. Works well with my iPhone!!

Its a good application radio with the price.with new law here in CA not to hold ur phone well this radio is a must.u dont need to hold or touch ur phone all the time important applications music calls can be done without touching ur phone and avoiding tickets over all its a good radio and its pioneer so no question about it

This head unit looks nice in my vehicle, and seems to work well. I bought it mainly for the Apple CarPlay feature, which is still somewhat of a work in progress. CarPlay occasionally crashes, and sometimes it brings down the head unit with it. I assume future Apple IOS updates will fix some of those flaws.

The Apple Car is a great in dash - touch screen system and bribgs the iPhone to life in your car. The ability to access almost everything on your phone - and to be able to use the gps and play music at the same time - is a luxury I was not used to having. Very impressed by the sound and screen quality. People may not appreciate Apple Maps compared to other navigation systems - but for me it gets the job done. Very satisfied overall.

Excellent sound (for my needs), screen graphics, equalizer and options to personalize. The ONLY issue I have is the receiver will not work properly sometimes if I do not remember to attach my iPhone 6 prior to starting the engine. I would not put this in the category for someone who is a sound enthusiast.

I bought this Bluetooth radio for my grandson's 16th birthday. He drives 17 miles each way to school on a very busy highway with a lot of semi traffic. I do not him to be distracted by his phone by phone calls or texts. He hooks up his Spotify to it and away he goes driving in a more responsible direction. He loves it and I feel better about him driving with his sisters to and from school.

Pros: Great display - Not only does apple carplay look great but so does Pioneer interface. 6.2" allows me to view everything including maps with ease (and I need reading glasses). Easily integrated into vehicle: I own a 2005 Audi A4 with a Bose system and was afraid to replace the stock radio. When it went bad the pioneer not only added blue tooth, siri, phone calls, pandora, etc. at my finger tips but it powers the speakers well and includes some fantastic equalizer pre-sets. The buttons change color and if you know Audi they have a predominantly red gage/instrument cluster, so the pioneer was able to match perfectly. Cons: Adapter cable - does not hold a strong connection. It cost $20 and your telling me if I drive over a pot hole it disconnects from apple play? iPhone malfuntions - When I disconnect the phone from the radio and Pandora is playing, it will start playing on the phone and I have to close out the app on iPhone.

Was kinda skeptical because many reviews I saw were either really good or really bad but I have an iPhone 7 Plus and it works great. I have noticed when you plug in an older iPhone there is some lag but it doesn't affect me since my phone is the newest model and everything works perfectly. I highly recommend this Stereo if you want apple CarPlay features in your car.
