I have purchased Pioneer head units in the past. Very pleased so far, the interface is fast and easy, the Apple carplay is a great update to my previous one.

The geek squad was really helpful and did a great job with the installation. This unit has alot of easy to use features and the Android Auto app is a dream come true compared to manually accessing all the features.

This head unit has exceeded my expectations! I love the way my CarPlay works! It connects automatically, I don’t have to take out my phone from my pocket at all! 100% recommend

Bought this to put in a 2002 Pontiac Firebird that i was restoring and it blew me away, i originally bought it for a particular reason and it had way more features than I expected!!!

I upgraded to this after having the cheaper not wireless model installed. Works perfectly for what I need it for, huge improvement over having to look at my phone constantly for navigation. Wireless connects anytime I get in the car without me having to do anything. Screen is decent size. Replaced the jbl screen I had in my car. There is a little glare, but the placement in my car naturally cuts down on that. Would recommend. I just wish I would have seen this one first.

It looks good, sounds good. Availability of compatable parts such as deck mounting adapters, speaker wire harnes, antenna adapters, speaker mounting kits, and all were a problem, once all the parts were in ( and re-ordered, ) getting a technician to install it all was a challenge, I had to go back three times and ended up having to go to another store to get it all installed.

BestBuy Install was the worst.

Product review is great however the install with BestBuy was a complete floop. The sales team told me what I needed to get and then when we did the install we did not have everything, and they wanted us to purchase more adapters and then come back for another full install price.

Upgraded stereo in my 2016 Altima for Apple CarPlay. Really happy with it. Nice having a large map, steering wheel controls all work, microphone connects with no problems and the sound has improved noticeably! I haven't noticed any issues...hated the old Nissan factory interface...

Great, but I miss having a volume knob

Works very well. No issues with wireless connection. Screen is clear enough and no issues with the touch screen. The only issue I have with it, is the lack of volume knob. The UP/DOWN volume buttons are small and on the side, so not having a volume knob for a quick volume decrease is annoying.

Nice display, but quirks and glitches

Bought this to upgrade my display-less car, and it does feel a lot nicer. Better connection and functionality with Blu Tooth and USB connections. But sometimes it does randomly reset, and more often than that sometimes a thick red slightly-diagonal bar of distortion will cross the screen from left to right. It does not seem to cause any problems but is distracting.

Receiver is good, my sales experience not so much

I had this receiver installed in an old car and I really like it. So I bought one as a Christmas gift for my son.
On my son’s car, we wanted to keep access to factory info. So the salesperson picked out Maestro hardware for our system. After installation of both the Pioneer and Maestro systems, we could not access factory info. The installation group said it was because this receiver is not compatible with Maestro. This was with hardware that was selected at THEIR store.
So we have an appointment to swap out this receiver for a Pioneer unit that IS compatible (for another $190). It would have been a lot nicer to have been sold compatible hardware in the first place.
