    The radio is great, the display is bright and crisp, the resolution is described as 720p but the screen pixels go up to 600, that doesnt mean that the screen looks amazing. The setting are easy to follow and it makes the music sound great, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto (Also wired), usb connections, digital EQ, HD Radio, Sirius XM satellite radio (subscription needed) and Bluetooth audio. The only reason i didnt give it a 5 stars was the companion app on the phone, the companion app needs to be completely changed from the ground up, it needs a redesign and a faster way to connect to the radio as soon as the radio is turned on, the companion app acts like a second screen for your radio showing you what you are playing on the radio, settings and controls, some people would find this useless and others would find it cool to use but it the app actually needs to be better, faster and have more features.

    Worthy Upgrade

    Purchased this for my 2014 Kia Optima with BOSE. Installed in store at Best Buy. Install took 5.5hrs total. Issues included: getting the back up cam to work, and getting it to mount properly due to size. It was suppose to tilt up and down but due to difficulty, the tilt wasn’t an option for me, I could however have it mounted on the dash or floating just slightly above the dash. When it floated, it was a lot more flimsy. I opted to have it mounted on. No changes or mods were done to my speakers. When I turn the volume all the way up, there is distortion in the music but I believe this can be fixed once I have time to go in and tweak some settings. The back up cam that came with my vehicle was a lot more accurate. With this new radio, I always have to hit a button to turn the guidelines on. Other than the install time and the small issues mentioned above, I’m very impressed with my new radio. It certainly upgrades the interior look and feel of my vehicle. I was able to sit and watch the install towards the end and fully understand how complicated it was. My installer was clear when I made my appointment, it would be difficult to install because of the size, make and model of my car. I’m glad they set those expectations early on. Despite it all, they made sure it was done and done right.

    This is an awesome product, it took my 2003 Expedition right into 2026. What an upgrade! I was so excited to find a mint condition 2003 Ford Expedition XLT with low miles. It feels like being back in the day today driving a time capsule… lol. It was an easy decision to upgrade with a Pioneer stereo and back up camera.

    I upgrade my OEM car radio with a pioneer DMH-WT5000NEx with MAESTRO RR Idatalink to conserve Steren wheel control , this stereo fit perfect with the Metro dash kit, it’s amazing the new look for my car now it’s look like a 2025 model with the floating screen, and the features that show from Can Bus obdII, I like the gauges , the sound is incredible , the 13 band equalizer and the cross frecuency controls protect the OEM front /rears speakers , to increase the bass also I installed a Amp & subwoofer Kicker Brand , the sound is great !!

    I was hesitant on getting this Pioneer unit. I knew I needed CarPlay for my 2017 RAV4 since I go road trips quite a bit. I pulled the trigger and bought an open-box and do not regret it. It does everything phenomenal. It honestly has made my car feel modern (the trend of tablets glued on the dash, really). Maestro works well, Carplay works well, HD radio works well, Back-up camera works well, and the screen is perfect. I definitely recommend it.

    I use it for Apple Carplay. The interface is laggy when swiping or moving the map around. Tapping is really responsive. I've had it for a few months and discovered that wireless is unreliable. I have to plug in my phone to avoid random disconnection while driving. One time, I used a cloth to wipe off the dust and apparently it didn't like that and completely froze and shut off. I had to stop my car and restart it. When starting the car, if I don't plug in my phone right away, it'll take about a minute or 2 to connect. Today, it decided not to connect at all when I plugged it in. I thought that it would need a firmware update and tried to connect the app. Carplay connected via bluetooth but the app repeatedly failed to connect even though Carplay was working. The companion app PxLink is completely useless. That being said, I have had several good drives without problems. I rely heavily on google and apple maps for work. Spotify and Libby work really well with only a few glitches. The mic is excellent and sound quality is good. Screen brightness is great but has a really bad reflection problem. I put a matte screen protection on it and it helps with glare and fingerprints. It doesn't pinch to zoom in or out which is annoying on maps. Not recommended.

    A fantastic upgrade to my 2018 vehicle

    Make sure to speak with someone on the Geek Squad before your installation. You'll want to make sure you order specifically what your vehicle needs. I ordered the wrong dash panel, and I didn't order the tuner needed for satellite radio. The online ordering process does leave out certain details, and you may need to make a return visit to get everything installed. The two technicians I dealt with at my local Best Buy handled everything well, and the installation went smoothly on my second appointment. I likely could have avoided wasting my time if I had gone to Best Buy and made the purchase there. So far, I'm loving it. I replaced the small, stock 5" screen/receiver in my 2018 RAM 1500 with this receiver. The sound can be adjusted in many ways, and the appearance can be adjusted to your style. The setup is easy to learn. I love being able to use Waze on a split screen with my other apps. The screen resolution is good for my backup camera. I'm not a tech kinda guy, but I love learning about all the features.

    PxLink does NOT work. Yes, I tried everthing -- instructions, help site and tech -- no connection. Always stops at final level -- connect the wifi. Wish the screen was non-reflective. That becomes an issue with sunlight direction.
