I bought this car stereo for my son's car. He is a new driver, and as you know most teenagers (drivers) use their phones to listen to music. One day I saw him using earphones while driving and that’s when I decided to get a car stereo where you can connect the phone also. This stereo has cool features. Once you connect the phone via the USB port you can play music thru the car speakers while its charging the phone. Also control the phone via the car stereo controls. The stereo itself is very powerful. I did not change the speakers in the car but I highly recommend that you do. Music quality is great. Lots of bells and whistles. Phone calls are NOT routed to the car speakers, I see this as a downside on the unit when connected thru the USB port. I wish it had that too, hence the 4 stars. I love it, my son loves it. We will recommend this to anyone who is looking for a similar car stereo on a budget.

Sure, you don't get the new features like Bluetooth or SiriusXM ready, but you do get a very solid radio for the price. I picked it up when it was half off. If you wish to install it yourself, replacing a stock radio requires a metra cable and possibly a new mount for your vehicle. Best Buy had that mount for my Saturn and may have yours as well. As for the features, they are very nice. The radio has 18 FM presets and 6 AM presets. It even can detect broadcast info streams that can tell you the station and even what song is playing. The same holds true for the iPod/USB setting. I've used this with a 16 GB flash drive plugged directly in that contains my music library. If you have mp3 tags, it will display the song, artist, and album. You can select a directory and play it or select a specific directory and only play the songs in there. When connecting my smartphone through a USB cable, it allowed for music through the default app on my phone; Since I had the same music on both my phone and flash drive, I found it simpler to use my flash drive instead. It also has an aux port in the front and I have used that connected to my smartphone to play SiriusXM from my phone. The sound quality is great, and with equalizer settings you can adjust it to your liking. The illumination features many settings for what the frame color as well as the text color should be. I've found that the blue trim and the white text look the best to me but it is a personal preference. It may take a little while to get used to the button functions and the remote, but after that it is easy to use. All in all, if you are looking for a good replacement radio for a very reasonable amount of money, this is a great buy.

Grandson wanted a radio that would play CD's plus have an auxiliary port. This one had that plus a USB port.. He liked that you could change the color on the readout. For the money it was a good Deal. He 's happy with it ,better than stock radio 100x .

This particular is a compliment to any vehicle. Easy installation, operator friendly, and a great price with a variety of features.

Got this because the one I had was ancient (I may have had one of the last remaining cassette players). I got tired of having to search for radio stations. Okay, so I could also use a cassette adapter to play mp3s off my phone, but that wasn't always safe or convenient on longer road trips. With this, I've been able to free up some memory on my phone & play mp3s off a USB. The remote control makes it safer to navigate between songs. Having an aux input is convenient for the times I have guests riding with me who want to share their music during the drive. The radio allows more preset stations than I had, and I can play CDs (I know, why bother when you have the other options, but it's still an upgrade from cassettes). I don't remember if I got a model that allows Bluetooth connections; it hasn't been important. Definitely looking forward to more road trips, now!

I bought this Pioneer car radio/CD player to substitute my Honda Odyssey's original unit, which had the CD player part broken down. I think I love this substitute better than the original unit, because Pioneer unit not only had a crystal clear sound, but also play multi-format CDs. My kids love the remote control came with this unit. Now, in a family travel, they can sit at the back seats and search their favorite music pieces from their beloved CDs. The features in this Pioneer radio/CD unit is beyond my expectations. I got this quite enjoyable unit with only less than 100 bucks! Really love it!

Receiver is easy to install, easy to use. I can easily connect to my iDevices via the USB port and can play anything like Pandora, Spotify, Slacker, etc. Skipping songs works with the buttons on the faceplate or the remote. No need to look at the phone to do so. Clean look, cool color changing faceplate.

This car radio was easy to install and program. It is feature rich. The price was within my budget and it came with a USB and Aux. input for all my stored music.

I actually got this radio on sale for $50. I love it. Does all the simple stuff and has a usb port in the front for me to play my music and charge my phone at the same time. It's so easy to use and navigate. Great value. Great product.

Purchased this car stereo for my son's car. Wanted something nice but not overly expensive. He really loves it! Able to use his phone for music with aux cable, usb port to charge things and likes the different colors the display has.

Easy to install. The demo mode where it rotates through colors is pretty entertaining. Offers a lot of options to set up based on your car's setup and configuration.

I was looking for a unit to replace my stock Corvette stereo. I found this Pioneer on sale and it met my needs perfectly. The features are great, and it brought new life to my stock speakers.

I purchased the above listed product and had it installed in my car by Bestbuy personell. I use my Pioneer Car Stereo to play CD's and listen to my music library and Pandora App on my iPhone 4 while driving in my car. Sound quality meets expectations and serves me well as an average listener. Syncing with my iPhone 4 and Pandora should be faster as I deal with the dreaded "format read" message on the LCD screen on the product whenever initially starting listening experience. The problem does go away.

Well with all the vibrant colors the deck changes makes my car look great at night. With the USB port, i can charge my phone and sync the music from my phone to the car AWSOME

I bought this Car Stereo receiver for my father's boat, and he is very happy with it. He needed, radio, CD player, auxiliary entrance, USB and no need for bluetooth...

I love my new cd player, i got 2 each for my trucks. It got a bunch of features. I love the illuminated display with multiple color settings.

Bought this for features and budget. Love the display, nice loud sound and EQ adjustments. Ill only buy Pioneer in the future now.

I purchased this stereo to replace factory CD player/radio that was having difficulties with discs. I think it is great that I can connect my iPod to the usb port and search and play the music I want to hear with a few simple button presses and dial turns. I plugged a bass guitar into aux jack for fun so I now have a backup in case my amp blows. Just have to figure out how to get car on stage.
