I am bummed though, I picked up the wrong headset, meant to buy one compatible with xbox and computer. This one has a standard 3.5mm headset jack on it which is not compatible with PC.

This RIG 500HX, however, is a massive step forward in both sound and comfort for gaming in my opinion. I pair them with an Xbox Stereo Adapter to get game and chat volume control on my Xbox One. I plug them directly into my PS4 controller. Use them on my iPhone, too. They're so lightweight, you'll never know you've been wearing it after hours of play. Bass response is solid without being muddy. Mic works well for chat and flips up when I'm not using it. The camo-color headband has a cool, soft-to-the-touch rubbery feel. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for serious game sound at a reasonable price. They make other midrange headsets look and feel cheap. GLHF

Now up to manufacturers warranty, they either replace or refurbish. Who knows how long that could take? I should have done more homework on manufacturer and retailer policies.

Broke after 3 weeks

Got this headset so as not to disturb my wife with all the noise. First, this is a very comfortable headset. I wear a headset at work for calls, and it gets hot and hurts the top of my head sometimes. This one is nicely cushioned and have used it for a few hours now and there has been no fatigue or painful spot on the top of my head. Sound quality is great and the boys say they can hear me clearly. It doesn't sound like I'm in a "tin-can" either. I love the feature where you can hear yourself, which is supposed to help with any talking to loud problems. Finally, the ability to still hear things around me is very nice too. If I hear my wife talking to me, I can answer her, not without asking her to repeat what she just said. Very happy with this purchase and I would highly recommend this to anyone.
