I have owned several generations of the Platinum holster, because I often upgrade to the newest iPhone. I have always been really pleased with the previous versions of this holster, but this one has a serious flaw. The clip has been redesigned, and is extremely weak at the point it rotates on the pin to clip onto a belt. The first unit I bought broke on the very first day of use. I thought it was a fluke. I got it replaced about 6 weeks ago, and I can see a visible crack in the hinge again. It is still functional, but it will certainly fail soon. I am uploading a photo showing the crack in the second holster. I gave previous versions of this holster glowing reviews, but this version (for iPhone X) is seriously flawed. I won't buy another unless they change the design.

I had to return the original one purchased because the clip for the holster broke far easier than it should have. I feel that it could be made a bit more robust but I like the form factor so much I opted for another one. Of course I will be careful with the understanding that it may be easy to break if I’m not mindful of it’s position. Also, the included case still allows the phone to be wirelessly charged because of its thinness; which is very convenient. Very satisfied!

I am a physician and wear scrubs, so I have nowhere to keep my iPhone (my shirt pocket would get too clustered if I put it in there). My previous one broke after about 6 months, but I'll attribute that to my dropping it too often. I had a similar case for my iPhone 7s Plus, and it lasted forever! The item breaking after 6 months was the only reason I rated it 4 stars instead of 5. It could have been due to my carelessness, however.

I’ve purchased Platinum cases for all our iPhones in the past. The actual case is sturdy without the bulk. The holster is a plus for me because I hate carrying a lot stuff on in my pocket. My only callout is that the clip always seem to break quite easily. Not sure about this one since I only had for a couple of days. We’ll see. I have read the other reviews and read the same issues still happens.

This case is very sturdy, and is very protective. The edges of the case are a little bit higher than the screen to offer great edge protection. The case is also compatible with some third party glass protectors. The reason I gave it 4 star is that my belt clip has broken after 5 months of use. That is really the only negative that I have with this case.

This is probably on the better case made on the market today. It has a kickstand which enables a person to watch movies or for me stock quotes. There is also a case for carrying the phone on your hip which is good for walking or jogging in the park. The case is a little heavier than I like to it makes my $1k phone feel very secure.

I like the holster portion especially to carry my IPhoneX however the clip could be improved as the pin and spring are not the strongest over time. I have now gone through 3! Make sure to take it off you when you are getting in & out of lower sitting cars. The price could definitely be lowered for this type of accessory.

I was considering an Otterbox, but purchased the Platinum instead. After having the hinge break after 2 weeks, I was wondering if I made the right decision. However, BestBuy was great and helped me get a replacement of another Platinum and so far so good! If not for the first break, then I would have given 5 stars.

I bought this case strictly for the holster as it works great with most thin/medium protection 3rd party cases. I use a clear case I ordered off Amazon with this holster and it works fantastic. Case is actually made pretty well as well, but I just don't like the 2 piece with kick stand design.

I’ve used this case/holster for every one of my previous iPhones with very little problems. I like the holster style cases as I don’t like keeping my phone in my pocket. I’ve had previous versions break off the clip, but it was always my fault because I’d get the holster caught on something like an arm of a chair. However, the first one I got for my new iPhone X broke within a day of purchasing it. I took it back to BestBuy and exchanged it for another one. The second one broke the next morning while clipping it on my belt! I went to another BestBuy and exchanged it again! That was about 3 weeks ago and I’ve had no trouble with it. I guess my local store got a bad batch of them.

I’ve owned a platinum holster clip on case for my iPhone 6, 7, 8 and never had a single problem with those cases. However this is the second one I’ve bought for my X in less than a year and now it’s broken again. They’ve obviously chosen an inferior plastic for the clip and I’m done. Pay attention to the reviews and DO NOT buy this crap.

This is an excellent case for the iPhone X. Only downside is the stand is very weak and you can only lay it landscape and NOT portrait (might be a deal breaker to some ppl). The belt holster is pretty good and the phone easy clips into place in the holster.

This case/holster combo has always been a must buy item for any phone I purchase. The reason I must buy this is definitely the holster. The convenience of keeping your phone on your side as apposed to in your pocket is well worth $40 on its own.

This is pretty good case for the iPhone X. I don’t use the belt clip, only the actual case. My only complaint is that it’s a little difficult to take it off when you first get it. It takes a few weeks for it to break in

I have used the cell phone cases made by Platinum, which is a Best Buy product, for many years. I wear my phone on my belt, and the holster is the most convenient design on the market. It has just one rocker latch that allows the phone to be removed and replaced with one hand. The case for the phone is two pieces and slips on easily. It provide continuous protection from all sides and the whole back is covered. The bumper around the front keep the screen completely off the surface on which it is placed protecting the screen. I highly recommend it.

This is my 2-3 iPhone using this same case. It is durable, I have dropped my phone approx. 3 times a year. You never plan to drop, and never a good way to drop. 3 years of ZERO accidents is all you need to know. The main reason I bought is for the stand on the back so I can watch moves, videos, etc. I use this maybe 20% of the years, but when I want the stand I NEED IT!! The case if slightly bulky because of the the stand, but that's not a negative. This is a Best Buy brand as well...NICELY DONE Best Buy!! :-)

It’s a nice protective case, easy to slip into my phone. The only down side is the the kickstand did break the second day I got it which is a little irritating. But overall good case.

My first one had a bad clip. I was surprised since I love this brand. Quick switch and I have been a happy camper without any issues.

I’ve been purchasing Pt cases for my phones for years now and has always been satisfied. I love the modern bit subtle design of the case and the kickstand is a plus.
