    Excellent Value For Yakuza Fans

This collection contains remastered versions of Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, and Yakuza 5 that originally released on the PlayStation 3. Unlike the Kiwami games, these are not remakes. These are virtually the exact same games as what originally released except Yakuza 3 has restored content that had been cut for the original release and cleaned up scripts. This is also the first time Yakuza 5 has been available in a physical format in the west (it even includes a PS3 case of Yakuza 5 to help fill shelf gaps for folks that care about that sort of thing). While the games are a little dated compared to some of the modern releases, there is incredible value to this package as the writing holds up very well and there is a ton of content. Highly recommended!

The packaging is great, no cracks in the casing or punctures. The only problem is it got delayed most likely because of Covid-19.

Yakuza 3- is really not great. It shows its age with the wonky walk cycles, very unfun side stuff (which is usually most of the fun!) and just a storyline thats kinda worthless. I can see why this one wasnt brought over for so long, because its really not necessary. Yes theres some decent moments, but overall it felt like a stepping stone. Yakuza 4- Okay, so unless the finale changes my opnion drastically, this one is MUCH better then 3. It still have some of the jankiness, but the story is a lot better and makes up for it. I was apprehensive going into this one, not being able to play our boy Kiryu right from the getgo, but the other main characters are actually relevant and a decent change of pace. They all play different and have interesting techniques. For instance, you can totally tank hits as the Tiger, but if you try that same thing with either the phoenix or the tortoise you are gonna get walloped. The split characters does something similar to Zero in that, each person gets more info and a different perspective on things, and when everything starts colliding, its really enjoyable. The combat in these older ones are definitely some of the weakest points, and again the side stuff isnt really as great as it was with Zero or two in my opinion, but theres some fun stuff, (like a Curry based super hero) Yakuza 5- Havent played it yet, but can update when I do. So for the two Ive played, the remasters are definitely alright. Three feels very weak, and is almost skippable, for four you definitely get your moneys worth. I wouldnt pay full $60 retail for the collection, but maybe $40 is a better idea. You can get that amount of enjoyment out of 4 alone, even if you really dont like three (like I do).

    Generations of crime...

I don’t think I’ll be the only one that’s saying “Finally” when it comes to this collection. For many generations, the Yakuza franchise has had a weak existence amongst the western gaming audience - but that’s not to say it didn’t have its dedicated following of fans. Fans that have never fully experienced the series as intended. Dreams began coming true with Yakuza 0 and the Kiwami releases of Yakuza 1 and 2. Now after being on I’ve for a few years, fans are finally treated to the rest of the series that fills in to the most recent Yakuza 6. Granted, this set of games (3-5) didn’t get the full ground-up Kiwami rebuild, they are remastered and updated enough to feel good to play. I’m sure certain players will be left wanting the tighter controls of new-gen games, but those willing to take a step back will still find enjoyment. Especially in the story department. These games are restored to their original form, no censored scenes, so it’s really immersive to experience the entire plots as intended - and they are incredibly written stories. Now if we could just pull over a western release of Yakuza 7...

The games follow an action crime drama with tons of fun gameplay and story beats. The colorful characters and world lends the series into hours and hours of new finds and interest. The collection also adds an impressive technical bump in game performance as well as quite a bit of added content not previously available. Gameplay can get a bit repetitive but overall, it’s a fun play through at a great price

The Yakuza Remastered Collection finally makes being able to enjoy every Yakuza game on PS4 possible and that's fantastic. Although the games generally don't hold up as well as others in the series, they're all still memorable story-driven sandbox experiences. + 3 solid games in 1 convenient package + Yakuza 5 holds up beautifully and remains one of the best in the series + Loads of variety throughout + 3 solid games in 1 convenient package + Yakuza 5 holds up beautifully and remains one of the best in the series + Loads of variety throughout - Visuals are rather dated - Combat is a bit flat and unintuitive in both Yakuza 3 and Yakuza 4 - Performance isn't optimal

WARNING: Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 are not made in the PS4 era, meaning these were made originally for the PS3, its nothing like Yakuza 0, nothing like Yakuza Kiwami 1 and 2, and nothing like Yakuza 6. Overall the series was fun to play and it was a good feeling to go back in time to play a game that originated in the PS3. Characters are unique in they're own ways. Combat is original and crisp. Story is very expressed and delved into. Expect long cut scenes, if your a Yakuza fan then this is definitely for you.

The graphics in these games might not be as good as the full remakes of Kiwami and Kiwami 2, but the essential gameplay and most importantly the awesome story beat and twists that have become the staple of Yakuza games are there. Finally you can experience the entirety of the amazing Kiryu saga on the PS4 in all its glory with this collection.

So much to do and so much fun. I didnt play Yakuzas 1 or 2 and it only hindered things a little bit because of the reoccurring characters but i quickly was caught up to speed through various flashbacks. Probably around 200 hours total across the three games included

This collection is a really good value, even at full retail. It comes with multiple games, remastered for PS4, and they run great! The gameplay is solid and the graphics look even better than they used to. Whether you're a new or old fan of Yakuza, you really couldn't go wrong with this

I love the Yakuza series and even the spinoff Judgement. This collection gives you improved framerate, graphics, textures and resolution. It's a great way to catch up on the series or even worth the replay. It's a bummer that you can't skip cut scenes aa they are very long.

An excellent collection of one of SEGA's best series available. Games look visually crisp at the native 4k on the PS4 Pro, but the age of the geometry does show. Play Yakuza for the excellent stories and gameplay, and you will have a great time.

I was late to the game. I played a Yakuza game that was free on PSN. Got hooked and have bought each one since. Such a great game. It’s like Shenmue and Virtua Fighter tolled into one. Love the action. Love the story. Love the side things you can do.

Sega knocked it out of the park with this release. Yakuza 5 finally released physically, and as a bonus, you get Yakuza 3 and 4. You can't do much better than this for $60 as there's enough game here to keep you busy for well over 100 hours.

This franchise is a hidden gem. Really creative and unique. They did an excellent job with the remaster and it runs very well for a console title. Also, hard to go wrong getting 3 full games for the price of one.

First of all, thanks to Best Buy for shipping this in a box instead of a bubble mailer. It came in pristine condition. The cardboard box is pretty fragile, therefore it would've likely gotten destroyed in a bubble mailer. As for the game, or games, this is a collection of 3 Yakuza games: Yakuza 3, 4 and 5. While 3 and 4 released in the US on physical media, 5 was only released digitally on the PS3 in the US, so this is the first time it's available on physical media for us US peeps. In addition, you get a Yakuza 5 PS3 case as a cool collectible. While all 3 games still look like they're PS3 games, as these are remasters instead of remakes, they do look a lot cleaner than they did on the PS3. If you're a fan of the Yakuza games and want to complete the collection on your PS4, this is an easy recommendation.
