Quick
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this ram while it was on sale, roughly half off. I installed it in a snap, I ran a speed test and it did not pass the speed test. I restarted the system and ran the test again and it was fine. The only thing that i have a problem with is that it is detecting only half the ram, but that is probably due to the 32 bit vista system, I plan on upgrade sometime soon to the 64 bit system. Bang for the buck (on sale) 10 out of 10 (off sale) 8 out of 10

Great RAM.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this RAM for about a week now with no problems. It's usual price is around $100 but it is often on sale for about $30. So I would get two if you could use them. My system already had two GBs so I just added one stick to make sure I had enough. As I said above, the only thing "wrong" with this RAM, is there are no heat spreaders as the overview page says. But I don't think it is a big deal.

Respectible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got it because i was building a new system and didn't realize my new mobo only supported DDr2 and all i had was DDr. Bought one stick and ran great with only few stutters. Held up really well untill i snagged 2 more gigs at a better price. If you have to spend the bucks, go with this cuz it won't let you down.

Good Value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very satisfied with the increased memory I have now. And I especially appreciate the Geek Squad for installing for me, because I know nothing about how the inside of these things work.

won't work in HP Pavillion multimedia PC
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tried the memory to boost my 2GB HP M7667c to 4GB, caused first Vista system blue screen crash since installed in March 2007. Tried putting it in both bank 0 and bank 1 plus running it alone in bank 0, still crashes have to return to store. Suspect it just isn't backwards compatable although both PNY website and packaging said it would with the DD2-4200 memory in the system

Did not work on HP Pavilion Desktop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It caused my system to crash and had to reformat my hard drive...Took it to the Geek Squad to figure out was going on. I had to by Kingston memory and it worked fine....So to find out it is not compatible for all computers

Not Compatible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I start up my computer after installing the memory, I get a screen saying "Windows did not start properly" and it wants to repair itself. I had to force a shutdown and take out the PNY RAM. I'm running 32-bit Windows Vista on HP Pavilion a6110n. I have 2GB RAM already, and purchased two of these sticks to bring my system up to a healthy 4GB. It seems the PNY Optima Memory is not compatible with my system, even though the specs indicate that it should be.
