Any SSD is faster than any stock spinning hard drive. There are differences in claimed speeds between brands and models, but the best factors to consider are the manufacturer's warranty and reputation. PNY is a known player with a solid financial footing and the XLR8 line has a good warranty and excellent included software (Acronis).

Great product. Was able to get this SSD when it was on sale, and was easy to install, and even came with software to transfer using acronis true image.

This SSD is an excellent choice to upgrade an older system or for those with casual use requirements. I've been using the Sandisk models for awhile and there have been no failures. he price is very good and as an upgrade from a standard HDD, the value is terrific. Highly recommended!

Compared several performance SSDs prior to choosing this one. Overall, extremely happy with the decision.

It is okay time will tell. It was a little difficult lining it up within the center of the watch. I have only had it for a day so I am curious to see if it stays on.

Bought this to upgrade my non SSD hard drive, I haven't been disappointed.

Installed on new Lenovo Ideapad 310, I7. Boot 50 sec. with 1T WD drive. Now 8 seconds to desktop,and 5 seconds more to load hidden apps.. Daughter very happy with improvement in gaming. Acronis, first make a backup to a USB stick or CD, remove. Chose cloning in left side menu. Choose auto, or if different size drives,choose manual, then click on adjust partition size to drive. When it reboots, choose Clone on left menu again. When done, install drive, used spacer to lengthen drive so it would not slide around. When starting, use your USB stick, or CD to boot first time only. Works perfect. Tips from youtube video work as above,showed in more detail. Note; bought 2 laptops and drives. Mine; win 10 kept freezing before drive swap. Went to accessories, and used reset to original, in backup area, and windows reinstalled from internal factory backup, with included drivers and the few programs it came with. Then runs perfect. Then cloned, and swapped drive. Only clone from a good source. Works great. 480gb is enough for us. Tip on Lenovo finger print magnet. Clean off fingerprints, then used Armorall wipes, works great. Never spray any liquid on keyboard. Use the wipes.

Very fast drive. Installed in my Laptop with no problem and sped it up by at least 50 percent!
