I upgraded to this card from an RTX 3080 after switching from a 1440p monitor to a 4K 120Hz TV, as the 3080 began to struggle with the higher resolution. I stumbled upon the PNY 5080 and, seeing it was available at MSRP, decided to pull the trigger.
The performance jump is amazing. I did run into one initial issue where the display would disconnect and the fans would spin up to 100%. A quick investigation revealed it was my power supply; while the wattage was sufficient, I was using daisy-chained PCIe cables for two of the three connectors. Once I switched to a new power supply which has a dedicated port for the 12 pin PCI plug, the card ran perfectly.

Upgraded from a 3080 TI, now my processor is my bottleneck, it was an easy drop in replacement. Looking forward to pushing the limits with this new card. It does not have any LED lights, so visually it isn't as nice as other options, but it is OC'd and came at a great price.

PNY's one of the few brands that are actually holding to their MSRP prices, and for that price it's very good. The cooler is extremely well built and keeps the card very cool even at low fan speeds. It's also well supported by the 3 slot bracket and doesn't have any sag at all.
The base factory overclock is much higher than other models for those that don't want to delve into manual overclocking. For those that do, the cooler will handle maximum power overclocking with only a few degree difference in temperature.

Had this 5080 for about 3 weeks so far, and it's impressed me! I have this paired with a Ryzen 7 9800x3d since I have 2 1440p monitors and a 4k TV, and even when I have 4K VR running on it, still runs pretty much butter smooth. Switched over from a 4070 Super and it's a very noticeable performance spike. Was very fortunate to get this for NVIDIA's retail price of $999, so for the money, this is fantastic. Always either had Gigabyte or MSI GPUs, but PNY has pleasantly surprised me, they seem solid.

Performance on this thing is great and dlss 4 is amazing. This gpu also runs very cool as I think the highest I have seen is 64 degrees. That said these cards are still very expensive and this card only has 16gb of ram. It’s still the second fastest card out there but more ram would have been nice.
Still a great buy imo.

So yeah I bought this with intent to return to BB before the return window expired. Welp, that expired 08/30 and it’s 09/20 and I have zero regrets. I play 1080p / 240hz, and am able to record footage with windows 11 game dvr with ZERO noticeable loss of performance. In fact, the 5080 has made the rogue jitter and jank go away. I’ve had each version of the 1080/1080Ti/3080Ti/6900XT this is probably the last GPU I’ll buy for a long time.
Yes…. The wife is gonna kill me when I pay the CC off before I get charged interest. Wish me luck boys I fear the battle with wife when she sees the debit will be as epic as the last ranked championship match!! :((

I’ve been using the RTX 5080 for a little while now, and it works absolutely amazing. Performance is smooth, quiet, and unbelievably fast. Battlefield 6 runs like a dream on it in ultra settings, high frame rates, and zero stuttering. The graphics look incredible, and the card handles everything without breaking a sweat. If you’re looking for a GPU that can dominate modern games, the RTX 5080 is definitely worth it.

Very powerful graphics card. The 5080 gets some flack, but the truth is it's an extremely powerful graphics card. It gets grief because it's only a little bit more powerful than the 4080 in our performance, but given the new dlss features and also frame generation is awesome and you can get the high frame generation with the 40 series. Overall, this is vastly superior to the 4080 reviewer is on live. Don't think so. And if you go apples to apples 4080 first. 5080 the 5080 is only a little bit better, but that's not the only thing to take into account. This particular card it was $1,000 when I bought it. It's gone up since then but compared to other cards this one has good. Cooling isn't too for else and isn't over the top expensive

Great card at MSRP. Runs quiet and cool, can't speak to the quality of the PCIe to 12vhpwr cable. Included anti sag solution leaves a little something to be desired.

Insanely good 5080 model with the same performance as you can expect from this card. Stays the same price as MSRP unlike other board partner cards, while having an insane amount of overclock headroom to increase performance. If you are looking for a good Nvidia card and can get this at MSRP, its probably your best choice.

I upgraded from a 1660 to this a couple of months ago, and oh my lord. It is night and day, every game runs so smooth. I can play all AAA games and new games at max settings, well over 100 fps. Highly recommend buying if it comes back in stock.

Great card, replaced my GTX970. Make sure to chekc the wattage, I under supplied and thought it broke. My fan bearings are a bit off so it does make a funny sound when running fast, nonetheless is a good card.

Excellent performance at a the right price point. GPU is performing as promised. Read many reviews before I upgraded from a 3080 TI and this is a real winner when it comes to the 1% lows. Reduced game stuttering due to low FPS which has made my 4K gaming on a OLED display amazing. The extra FPS are not no so great but like I said the 1% lows is what makes this card shine in my eyes. And there is plenty of rooom to overclock if that is what your into due.
Con: 3 slot design.

Overall a good card for the actual msrp. Looks cheap compared to my old asus 3090 but the cooler is huge and it runs cool. The elephant in the room is the massive price hike this card just experienced. I wouldn't be buying this for 1400 .There is simply no way I would participate in this current market cycle. The 3090 was still holding its own just fine. That being said I feel lucky to have this and hopefully it will get me through a few years.
