The PNY RTX 5080 offers a compelling options for gamers wanting to get access to the new 4x Frame Generation features exclusive to the 50 series Nvidia cards. It not only offers great performance in both rasterization and ray tracing gaming, it also stays extremely quiet and cool (never exceeded 68c while gaming) due to the robust heatsink/cooling design PNY decided to go with this card. Being that this card is priced exactly at $1000 MSRP I don’t have many gripes with this card, other than not having any RGB (but that’s a personal preference). I would highly recommend this card to anyone looking to pickup this option as a nice upgrade to their systems. It absolutely rips through any task you throw at it, even a bit of AI if desired without pulling a sweat. Honestly can’t go wrong with this card, given that other RTX 5080 offerings essentially offer the same exact thing but end up costing 50% more My only gripe with this card individually is that is only has a total of 16GB of GDDR7 of memory instead of 24GB or more VRAM. That’s not a fault of PNY but rather Nvidia themselves as PNY or any board partners don’t have access to modify the VRAM on the card. As well as how massive this card is, but again that’s due to shear amount of watts this card can pool if you let it, I wouldn’t fault PNY for that.

PNY's one of the few brands that are actually holding to their MSRP prices, and for that price it's very good. The cooler is extremely well built and keeps the card very cool even at low fan speeds. It's also well supported by the 3 slot bracket and doesn't have any sag at all. The base factory overclock is much higher than other models for those that don't want to delve into manual overclocking. For those that do, the cooler will handle maximum power overclocking with only a few degree difference in temperature.

Overall a good card for the actual msrp. Looks cheap compared to my old asus 3090 but the cooler is huge and it runs cool. The elephant in the room is the massive price hike this card just experienced. I wouldn't be buying this for 1400 .There is simply no way I would participate in this current market cycle. The 3090 was still holding its own just fine. That being said I feel lucky to have this and hopefully it will get me through a few years.

    PNY RTX 5080

I was waiting to get an NVIDIA RTX 5090 FE to restock but once the PNY RTX 5080 restocked at MSRP, I decided to pull the trigger on the 5080 instead GPU run about 20C cooler than my NVIDIA RTX 3060 did which is great. It's not as loud as i thought it would be since it has 3 fans. My case fans are louder than the GPU when i turn them up to max airflow. I'm able to play games at Ultra settings and get much higher FPS than I did with my NVIDIA RTX 3060 at High settings. I haven't Overclocked the GPU because I haven't needed to. I get over 200 FPS with the default settings and using DLSS @ Quality performance. I also haven't used the 3 or 4 multiframe gen either. Just default settings. Runs like a dream. People hate on PNY but honestly, if NVIDIA chose them to replace EVGA, then I knew the GPU was going to be a quality purchase and so far, it has been a great upgrade. I also upgraded my CPU from the i5 12th gen to i9 12th gen. So far, my CPU & GPU have very minimal bottlenecking, if any. Games and everybody else run so much faster with my upgrades.

Amazing Card. I heard mixed reviews about how compared to its previous generation, it wasnt an upgrade or worth the price, cant tell about that. however for those like me coming from older cards, its a huge improvement i highly recommend AT MSRP, i dont think you should get a 5080 no matter how better cooling or in looks it is, if it is over its msrp. to put it simple, it is a $999 card but fits better in the low 900 range imo, i think people would be more enthusiastic about this card if it had a $929.99 pricetag. Definitely worth it if they add freebies like the Bordelands 4 game, sadly i got it right before the bundle, so i wouldn't miss that. Haven't had any issues since i bought it, its quiet, i barely hear it, and for the smaller case i have it in, its not getting as hot or warm as i thought itd get. If you really want one, this one is great, if you want looks, wait for them to drop in price or wait for the super variants and hope they stay the same price. you wont regret it if you do your research and budget for it, just make sure youre patient its big purchase, do your due diligence. look at 50 youtube videos about it.

    What a card

Very nice GPU. Very big GPU. This PNY card runs very smoothly, and very quietly as well. Under 100% load, 4k high + DLSS this card tops out at around 100-150 fps, for games like War Thunder and Arc Raiders, and the fans barely make a noise. LoL gets upwards of 500fps but that is normal. A little scary putting this card into the motherboard because the metal shroud of the display ports is very long, and protrudes into the case just behind the motherboard, at first I thought my NZXT h9 could not fit the card. I am NOT using the included daisy chain cable, instead using the rm850x provided 12v cable, hopefully it does not melt.

So yeah I bought this with intent to return to BB before the return window expired. Welp, that expired 08/30 and it’s 09/20 and I have zero regrets. I play 1080p / 240hz, and am able to record footage with windows 11 game dvr with ZERO noticeable loss of performance. In fact, the 5080 has made the rogue jitter and jank go away. I’ve had each version of the 1080/1080Ti/3080Ti/6900XT this is probably the last GPU I’ll buy for a long time. Yes…. The wife is gonna kill me when I pay the CC off before I get charged interest. Wish me luck boys I fear the battle with wife when she sees the debit will be as epic as the last ranked championship match!! :((

This card has honestly been great so far, runs super cold (it doesn't break 55c in most shooters and barely high 50s in 4k high setting games). Not sure why PNY has a weird rep but if** you are able to get your hands on this card you will not regret it. The only thing I have noticed is that it has a slight whirl sometimes but it is quite faint and isn't there all the time, if you are really sensitive to sounds from your pc you may notice it but I barely hear it even with no headphones on. It is quite a large card so make sure you got the room for it !

I personally don't think this is any worse or better than the other overclocked 5080 on the markets or even worse than the founders edition. I was able to run 3d marks test with a 9950x3d and for the most part, this card performs slighly above average in test when giving it a slight auto tune from the nvidia experience

This card delivers amazing performance at under half the price of the 5090! Great card unless you, for some reason, need more performance. Something to keep in mind is that higher end 50 series cards are really big and heavy, so make sure it fits your case. This specific one includes a sag bracket, which is nice.

Excellent performance at a the right price point. GPU is performing as promised. Read many reviews before I upgraded from a 3080 TI and this is a real winner when it comes to the 1% lows. Reduced game stuttering due to low FPS which has made my 4K gaming on a OLED display amazing. The extra FPS are not no so great but like I said the 1% lows is what makes this card shine in my eyes. And there is plenty of rooom to overclock if that is what your into due. Con: 3 slot design.

I previously had a 4080 ventus oc from MSI. Both that card and this are pretty similar in terms of looking plain and simple. I have to say I prefer the all black stealth look of this card vs the ventus. It is big, though, but it honestly runs decently cool (never above 65 for me) and at MSRP, you just can't beat it. All the other 5080s just have things you don't need for the extra price, and even if you don't get a golden sample, this card still easily over clocks at least 10% with a click of a button.

Good card. Very quiet and OC's above average. Nvidia drivers are the real issue not the card itself. 16GB of VRAM is not ideal but it's workable.

My only regret buying this card when I did was that the founder's edition became available shortly after my purchase for the same price. I'll gladly spend a little extra for team green at MSRP any day of the week over the inflated prices of the other brand.

So far, so good. This card performs and overclocks as well as any other 5080 with similar cooling. It came with an "anti-sag" support but the card is so rigid it's not really needed due to the metal backplate. The only negative I can think of is all the big block text on the card, I could do without that. I didn't build this system around cosmetics though and it performs well.
