    Bye Bye AMD

I use media center PC's to run my MKV's and such for my home theater system. My most recent build was an AMD Ryzen, and I had nothing but problems with it. Lockups, bluescreens. My Logitech security software couldn't run minimized without crashing. It was just one issue after another, and trying to run 4k video was really problematic. So I finally decided to try a video card, rather than the onboard AMD junk. Worked like a champ. All issues, gone. EVERY ONE. 4k video is flawless again, my security software can run minimized or full screen or anything and never crashes. All the things that caused bluescreens, no longer issues. I don't do games on here, but I didn't get this card for games - I have a high end gaming rig for my Oculus with a much higher end Nvidia card. This was just something I wanted for good video playback and stability, and it's been flawless for me. Finally I never have to wonder what state the PC is in when I switch to the media center input on my receiver. I know it will be running and in good shape...

Good gaming in low profile cases with low wattage

I bought this PNY GT1030 card for a Dell Optiplex 790 Slim PC to use as a gaming machine. Yes there are better graphics cards out there, but for this particular computer with a stock Dell slim 240 Watt power supply in it, this is a great choice. It runs cool and stable without needing a power supply upgrade or any additional power connection to the power supply. Perfomance change on the game Subnautica as example. It was running at 5FPS with a Radeon HD3000 series card all settings on low and resolution at 720P. It now runs Subnautica at 30FPS with all settings on high and resolution set at 1080P. Bottom line if you need a low profile gaming card and want to use your stock power supply, it's a great option for the price for sure.

This card works fairly well for its size, it fits nicely inside my small Dell case and handles just about anything I can throw at it. I use it for work and gaming, have not had any problems with it, I can barely hear the fan when it kicks on. For those looking for a budget card this is worth it. Just for reference the games I run are World of Tanks, World of Warships, Falcon BMS, and Flight Sim X. It can run World of Tanks on ultra settings but I would not recommend it as it does drop your frame rates, I have tweaked the setting between ultra and high in the game and and it appears to average around 80 FPS. I can actually get more if I lower the settings and turn a few things off. Highly recommend if you're on a budget, I love it.

This card gets the job done in an old Dell I refurbished for HTPC use. If you need a low-profile card with good performance for around $100 this is one to consider. Older games will play fine at 1080p, just add an Xbox controller and you've built yourself a nice little console. There are better performing cards for $30-$50 more but I needed a low-profile card, this one works for me, just don't expect to play the latest games with all the graphical bells and whistles turned on and you won't be disappointed. There is a cheaper version of this card that uses DDR4 RAM, skip that one spend a little more for the DDR5 version.

    Surprisingly Poor Product

I wanted to return this product, but I've been so busy I exceeded the 13 day return policy so I'm stuck with it. Upgrades are usually meant to improve performance. There was NO improvement upgrading to GT 1030, making it a waste of money. Product functions at slower performance and poorer quality. Something I did not expect from Nvidia. And, I was disappointed when my Xbox DVR did not allow me to record with GT 1030 card because my PC hardware "is not supported", whereas with my GT 730 it allowed me to record and worked great. Overall with the GT 1030, my PC had trouble running at performance levels set by the previous card. After talking with an awesome Xbox Customer Rep., I decided to reverse back to GT 730, and it runs better. This is the first time I can remember a product upgrade resulted in wasted time, energy, and money.

Needed a low profile dedicated graphics card for home theatre PC that could scroll 4K content and allow a little on the fly 1080p video editing. Paired with Ryzen 3 1200 overclocked to 3.6GHz. Great little card with no need for extra 8pin power. Fit nicely in low profile Silverstone case on Asrock micro at board, leaving room for tuner card. Thermals are fine in synthetic tests. Can play older games at 720p. Cons: limited overclocking. Exposed fan (care when wiring). No fan control. A little pricey above $70.

I bought a new, discontinued desktop computer (HP i7), and I wanted to connect additional monitors. With only 1 expansion slot, and with a PSU that had zero extra power leads, I thought it best to buy a slim, trim card in the middle of the GPU pack, but one that also had GDDR5 memory. This one fit the bill, I like Nvidia's software & driver updating process, and it was on sale, so I saved $20 to boot.

This thing gets the job done with my PC. I originally went into the store wanting to spend about double if it would work with my PC, but not being a complete PC guru did not know whether it would work or not. The Best Buy associate that helped me was fantastic. He looked up my specific PC to see its capabilities and pointed me to this point unit for half the cost and something that would fit my needs and power supply. Great shopping experience and product.

I think this is the most powerful single slot video card I could find. It falls nothing short of awesome. Great memory buffer Accelerated websites and CUDA apps Quiet as heck I would highly recommend the card. Only knock Was price for all the above features. It would have been a 5 if it were about 15-20% less expensive putting it closer to the intended graphics card class.

Bought this one as an upgrade from a PNY NVIDIA GT 220 PCI Express X 16 2.0 card. Windows 10 had to think a bit about getting along with it for initial start up. Be prepared to open up an NVIDIA support account, and then a lengthy driver download, but once through that, performance appears to be excellent.

Itt worked great but then one day my pc turned off and wouldnt turn on again until I removed this graphic card and put back the old one. Turns out the graphic card was too OP for the power supply in my pc. Make sure your power supply is 300 watts or more if you buy this card. My was 225 watts.

Card worked out great for an older machine that has an older Intel graphics system onboard on a Dell OptiPlex. screens & menus are smooth and fluid now. I do work in IT so this was no brainer to pep up an older machine running Win 10 Pro. Wouldn't use for heavy gaming.

Perfect for enabling casual gaming on my small form factor home theater PC. It did increase the heat output a bit, so beware heavy use in a non-ventilated space. I just keep the cabinet door open when gaming. Fan noise is imperceptible more than a couple feet away.

It's not a gaming card. It's a get you through a broken system card. If you need a decent card to fix that old clunker and do basic things, this is the card for you. It can play games but don't expect any awesome FPS.

Really only got this so I'd have some decent non-adaptered outputs on my local home server. Haven't tried gaming on it. If you want a cheap gaming card, go GTX 1050/ti. If you have do nothing computer or SFF that need a graphics card, go with this.

I got an old desktop from my wife's work that had a 5 year old entry level ati card. With only 330w of power the Nvidia 1030 is perfect for my needs. It can play all of my games at decent middle settings with 60 fps.

This was purchased to replace an old card that went bad in my work PC, I do CAD design and this card had more graphics power than the old one so it is working very well with the application I purchased it for.
