What can I say other than the best way to know you have good memory is to NOT notice that you have it at all.

The item probably works great. I purchased it only to find out it would not work in the computer it was purchased for.

Description states 2 1G memory strips yet "memory search" and package picture show/state 2 2G strips for a total of 4G memory. Written discription is incorrect and leads to confusion as to actual memory size.

About 2 weeks ago I purchased a Gateway M-1625 at BestBuy. I had been very pleased with its performance and it was my first purchase of a laptop. After discovering that my laptop could max out to 4GB memory, I decided to purchase this set of DDR2 memory today and let me tell you, Before I thought my laptop was fast, now this thing is blazing fast. Maxing out laptop memory also preserves battery life so there is less hard drive swappage, expecialy in Vista. just ran photoshop and saw the diference. The memory performs just as fast as the stock memory. Im very pleased with this purchase and i encourage others to purchase this PNY product. Cant go wrong for the price now, especially compared to how much it cost before, this is a steal!

    Good Upgrade for my laptop

My Dell laptop currently has 1GB of memory and now that memory is at a great price I decided to add 4GB to upgrade my laptop. I run alot of memory intensive programs like Dreamweaver and Autocad, upgrading the memory was like getting a new computer. I was on the fence about getting PNY or Kingston, but PNY hasnt failed me yet. I'm very happy with the upgrade and performance.

If you're looking to upgrade your laptop's RAM, this is the product for you. Found it on sale at BestBuy.com for $100 off regular price right after Christmas and scooped it up immediately. Took approximately 5 minutes to install and I was up and running. Checked my computer propeties and the RAM had increased from 1GB to 4GB within any trouble.

Works great in new MacBook Pro!

I just bought a brand new MacBook Pro, and I wanted to boost the standard 2GB of memory to the maximum amount. I searched the sales and regular Mac supply web sites and inadvertently came across this memory on sale while looking at another brand I've bought on several occasions as single 2GB sticks. I ended up getting this pair for almost $10 cheaper. I removed the stock memory from my MacBook Pro, inserted the PNY memory, closed everything up, plugged in and rebooted and had no problems at all. Went into system properties and it automatically recognized the full 4GB of memory.

Installed in my Gateway MT6840 with no problem. Booted immediately, and BIOS sees entire 4GB. Vista, however only sees 3GB. Not a problem with the stick, but an operating issue. Going from the factory installed 1GB to the 3GB that Vista is using, I have seen a marked inprovement in performance. If you can catch it on sale, I highly recommend you consider the purchase.

    Bad Memory Config

I tried to use these chips to upgrade my gateway laptop to 4 GB (3 or 3.5 whichever 32-bit vista would allow). I could only get 2.5 GB working with another 512 chip. My system would POST with 4GB but it wouldn't even begin to boot into windows. I bought 2x2GB Kingston chips and immediately my system booted and vista even recognizes all 4 GB(which I was not expecting). For some reason the memory layout was not happy with my core 2 duo chipset/mobo. Gateway M-6823
