I enjoy most every remake of the Kanto and Johto regions. I strongly dislike Pokémon GO so it was disappointing that they took away the safari zone and replaced it with a trade hub to hook up to your Pokémon GO account. The Safari Zone was one of the best parts of the first generation games. The game also got a little tedious at times, such as when there was an overwhelming amount of trainers to battle. Here’s hoping to a Johto remake. Let’s go Togepi, Let’s go Snubull.

In Lets Go! You as a character get to return to the Kanto Region from the first Generation of Pokemon, and it is a refreshing nostalgic visit back to said generation, which 3D graphics, and interaction with your pokemon, as well as plenty of older landmarks and character face-offs, while still keeping things fresh.

    Pokemon Yellow + Pokemon GO

If I had to explain to previous Pokemon fans what this game is like in one sentence, it'd be this; "This is Pokemon Yellow with Pokemon GO catch mechanics and a lot less grinding." While that sums up majority of the game, there are also new mechanics they've added and changed around. There's a 2-player mode, which means you have a 2v1 pokemon battle in your adventures. And additionally, you're allowed to have multiple saves, since it's bound logged in Nintendo Switch user, rather than saved on cartridge. Smaller things that core pokemon players might be concerned about; HMs are no longer in game, and TMs are infinite use. Encounters are no longer random, and you can see whether or not if a wild pokemon is Shiny before engaging. EV training is replaced with PoGO candy mechanics. Additionally you'll see some minor additions from more recent Pokemon games as well in this. Such as alolan pokemons from Gen7, and mega stones from Gen6. But there is no pokemon breeding at the daycare center, and it does not allow you to trade into the core series nor pokemon bank.

A mixture of Pokemon Go and the mainline Pokemon games, which is definitely a hit or miss for longtime Pokemon fans. I really loved having the Pokemon following the trainer around again, and the partner Pokemon are just too cute! Since you can't battle the wild Pokemon, leveling your party depends on catching them, so those charging headfirst into gym / trainer battles may find some difficulty. It's also nice that a friend can pick up the other joy-con and run alongside with you on the journey.

You simply can't beat the classics, but this was a nice twist and plenty of fun for a quick play through, not to mention a great way to introduce the old games to new players and younger generations

I think that they should have kept the battling when you see a Pokémon in the tall grass or in the caves. I miss that component. But I get they were trying to incorporate the Pokémon Go vibe in this. I am just starting to play and I’ve only made it to Lavender town sooo I still have always to go. Oh and I wish I could play this game with the controller that joins the joy cons together because holding one kind of sucks but other than that I love it. It brings back some great childhood memories.

I am not a big “video game player,” but I have had a lot of fun with this game. I play Pokémon Go, and it’s fun to play Let’s go on the switch and connect it with the Pokémon go account. It’s friendly for young users and would recommend this game to people who Are not interested in typical “video games.”

This game is real fun. Graphics are good. This game brings me back to the old original pokemon game but then it doesn’t at the same time. I’m having a great time playing this game, it does kind of lag at times when a lot of pokémon show up, but overall great game. must have game for the nintendo switch.

I played the older game boy versions of pokemon games. This is a juiced up spin off of the older games. Super familiar to me. I originally bought this as a birthday gift for my daughter. Now i also enjoy playing, great for bonding time, we also sometimes bicker over who gets to play first lol.

Purchased as an early birthday present for my daughter and she loves it! She pretty much loves anything Pokemon and this game was perfect for her. She has said it is a bit easy and doesn’t take long to finish but she enjoyed the different levels and is looking forward to the new game!

Its not like the usual older pokemon games so for die hard fans it might be a turn off. This game is great for beginners but its also like having the mobile game pokemon go on the switch. If your looking for a better pokemon gane pre order pokemon sword or pokemon shield for that old school feel.

This remaster addresses a lot of the issues with the original Pokemon Yellow. It is a lot of fun and got me into the Pokemon mobile game. It also is awesome to play with a friend on the couch. Has the right amount of challenge for new audiences. I would recommend this game for new and seasoned fans alike.

This is a great addition to the Switch library. The classic Pokemon experience with a lot of quality of life improvements such as no more random battles all the Pokemon are visible on screen so you can choose to avoid encounters! Great game highly recommend. My 6-year-old enjoys it just as much as me.

I enjoyed playing the first pokemon game to be on the switch. It's a cool little take back to Gen 1 with Team Rocket and Giovanni. Its fun to replay if you have been around since Red / Blue. I don't like the catching mechanic's or how there is no breeding in the game. It's a fun game but it could have been so much more. The Go mechanics need to stay with the cell phone game and not move into console's. I would give it three stars, but it was cool to go back to Kanto.

Pokemon: Let's Go, Eevee is a great Pokemon title that can be found exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. It is a tremendous remake and reboot of Pokemon Yellow with new features as well as an implementation of the mobile game Pokemon Go. This is a must buy for any Switch owner or Pokemon Go fan.

Gen 1 has the most games of them all but this gave it a unique re imagining. I actually find the Lets Go games to be better looking than Sw/Sh and the game runs very well. The only thing I wish was different was the wild encounters, but its a very good game.

Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee is a amazing game, it is also a great game for Pokémon beginners (which I mean Pokémon GO players), if anybody that never played a past Pokémon game can start with Eevee or Pikachu, it is a mix of regular Pokémon and Pokémon Go (capturing Pokémon with pokeballs).

This game is a fun throwback to the Leaf Green/Fire Red days! It combines the story of those games with some of the mechanics of Pokemon Go, like catching and the ability to control wild Pokemon encounters. It does lack some basic features of those games, though. You cannot breed Pokemon, you can't make Pokemon hold items (so no sending items to your friends via trading with held items). You are also limited to the first 151 Pokemon, so no national Pokedex.

Doesnt matter if you're a new fan or old. You'll love it the same. The original yellow version mixed with pokemon go style has the nostalgic feel for us old fans. I bought both for the kids for Christmas. Now I just need the ball.

embark on a journey in the original kanto region but this time it's a little different ... wild encounters are no longer random and you dont battle but only catch wild pokemon ... but theres alot more to do including gardens where you can bring in your pokemon from pokemon go
