Not use to the time thing, but a good game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great game. The new battle system is a good improvement and the new Pokemon are a fun addition. Took a little while to get use to the fact that this game is set 12 hours a head of you 3DS' clock so night time in real world Day time in game world and visa versa, but overall a good fame. A must have for any Pokemon fan, also a great game for beginning Pokemon players.

Great, Refreshing Pokemon Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great pokemon game. All the same features you're used too, plus some new cool features, and great storyline. All around good for kids just getting into pokemon as well as those of us who grew up with it.

Not the best Pokemon game, but still a good one
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pluses about the game: + New Pokemon! And their designs are overall good + Great characters that stand out from past games. I love the rivals and partners you travel with along your journey + The environments are more 3D (although it doesn't use the 3D feature on the 3DS) + The soundtrack is pretty good + It's quite challenging -- more so than older games sometimes + It's pretty funny from time to time Things I'd change: - The game can be kind of slow. Encounter a Pokemon, watch the animations of you sending your Pokemon out, even if you don't want to battle that Pokemon. There's also this mechanic where, if a wild Pokemon is below half it's health, it will call out for help and summon another Pokemon. This makes random encounters take longer, which can be a pain when you are just trying to get things done. - Pokebank is not free, and it's the only way to transfer Pokemon from your older games. - There are so many cutscenes, which again, make this game seem really slow + Not much to do after you beat the game. I wish it had a Battle Frontier or something like it. Still, it's worth a play through in my opinion. I just hope Game Freak addresses some of the issues in the next game.

Welcome Change
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best installment in the Pokémon series in a long time. They revamped the gym system in favor of the island challenge, they removed HMs to give way to the Pokémon Ride Pager and introduced Pokémon refresh. All of which are big, necessary changes for the series which was bordering on staleness. The Hawaii inspired Alola region is wonderful and dense with detail. The player movement in this game is also vastly superior to the way your character moved in X and Y. It is now more suited to a 3-dimensional plane. The creatures in this game are delightful, with Rowlet/Decidueye being a personal favorite of mine. Bottom line: this is a great game.

Fun as always
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You can't go wrong grabbing a Pokémon game but this particular one is seriously fun, good story, good gameplay, good graphics. It's got it all not to mention the kanto references.

gotta catch 'em all!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a Sun and a Moon for my brother and my six-year old niece to play together. It's a great game because it's fun for kids as well as adults. My niece doesn't always know how to set up her party, but the game lets you retry the trial battles if you lose so she can try out different Pokemon or level them up first. For adults, it's an "easy" game but there's lots of fun strategy to explore, or maybe you want to catch some shiny or super rare pokemon (must catch a Feebas). I also like some of the side things like the Poke Pelago and Festival Plaza, and doing local battles. Overall, a fun and enjoyable game with lots to explore.

Bought after putting 70 hrs into Sun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me begin by saying Sun/Moon is so far my favorite Pokemon generation of games. I have played, and beaten, one entry from every generation of Pokemon games, except for the Diamond/Pearl/Platinum generation. I wrote a more specific review on Sun, but I have since played over 70 hours of it. Fantastic games, and I welcome every single change they have made to the series, especially with breeding and IVs. Removal of HMs was also a fantastic idea. I want to complete the Pokedex, and none of my friends play Pokemon as fervently as I do, so I bought Moon now. Highly recommended to play at least one of these if you're a fan of Pokemon.

Pokemon is back
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best Pokemon games since Pokemon Black and White. Gameplay feels right, and the story is very cute. The supporting characters are not annoying, and the setting is great.

Different
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This pokemon game is so different which is great to freshen things up for me. Battles are slower and the intro is a little boring for me, but the game itself is great.

Welcome spin on the formula
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a die hard Pokemon fan that sort of fell out somewhere around gen 4. I always still liked Pokemon but didn't keep up with the games anymore with the exception of X & Y. The problem I always had was the HM system, it really factors on your team build and move selection. You always need a flying type in your party for HM Fly, you always need a water type in your party for HM Surf, and so on. Add to that the fact that the HMs take up one of the 4 move slots and lets be honest some HMs just plain suck for battling. Sun and Moon fixed that by introducing Ride Pokemon, no longer are you required to have an HM Pokemon in your party allowing you to build the party you want with more freedom. The addition of Alolan Forms of classic Gen 1 Pokemon is also one that I enjoy but that might just be nostalgia goggles talking. All in all I'm enjoying my time with this far more than the time I spent with X & Y, would highly recommend this to anyone thinking about getting back into Pokemon after a long hiatus.

Different than previous games
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoy the new graphics and new story. It does guide you a lot more than previous games so there's a little less freedom to explore, at least so far.

Great tweaks to an already great series
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I came away from Pokemon Moon getting exactly what I came for. The Pokemon series in general rarely disappoints. However, the new changes to the series formula were a welcome addition that I didn't know I wanted. Totem Pokemon offer a new challenge. No gyms, but rather Kahunas. Plus, the setting was great. It made me wish I could go on vacation. If you're a fan of the Pokemon series, I doubt you'll be disappointed. If you're a newcomer, I think it's a decent place to start. If you haven't played since Red/Blue, this is as good a place as any to jump back in.

An Un-Enthralling Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like many I bought this game out of nastolgai having grown up in the 90's playing Pokémon my entire life. Pro: Has classic Pokémon reimagined and hints the original games will get a 3DS remake. Con: Kinda boring start in my opinion with more ridiculous than ever antigonists. New additions such as Z-moves seem ridiculous and I find myself having trouble becoming invested/interested in a game that throws out the classic Pokémon gym mechanics for these new island "trials." Overall the game could be amazing but I haven't gotten very far as it simply hasn't drawn me in the way past Pokémon games have. I've heard that many people like the game so I'm sure it improves as time passes plus I really enjoy seeing the classic Pokémon in a new light, which will be my main reason for playing. I'll probably have a more positive opinion of it once I get further into the game as I felt similarly about X & Y yet came to truly enjoy those games.
