Great, but incomplete. Somewhere between Platinum and HGSS, Prima and Nintendo decided to start making the walkthroughs and the Pokédex strategy guides separately. Well, that's when I started to buy them as cheap as humanely possible because they're trying to pull $40 out of thin air as opposed the just the normal $20. That's $40 on top of the cartridges, which both editions together will run around $80. So Big N wants $120 a year for each annual installment of Pokémon! No thanks. All that being said, this guide gives you the essentials for completion; location of trainers' Pokémon so you can get preliminary entries for Nat Dex, locations of breeding and trading items, maps, Gym and E4 battles and encounter changes, and of course those coveted Mega Stones. It also tells you about Mirage Spots. I'd recommend this guide, but more so I'd recommend the accompanying Pokédex they released 3 months ago because THAT baby is golden!

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire appeal to both the youth of today with the beautiful graphics and the improved storyline and to the gamers who played the original when they were children.

A decent guide for the game, it's not really needed but it's nice to have but not as essential as the Pokedex guides that come out after the guide is released, it does come with a cool poster showing a layout of the town which is useful though. I would recommend it for kids especially which could help them out more, I didn't use it as much but I just like collecting strategy guides.

This is a great guide which includes information for both Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby. Detailed, and shows you exactly how and where to find some of the hard to get Pokemon. Overall worth purchasing. I bought it at 50% off during one of Best Buys sales, so even better. :)

A typical strategy guide I'm sure but it wasn't purchased for me. It was given to my nephew for Christmas. He's fan of the games and has used these guides in the past I'm sure he's enjoyed reading it and using it to help him along in the game.

This game has the best graphics, new wonderful style, the picture quality is outstanding. When they get or send an attack they also move and react instead of just standing there and not moving.

If you're buying the game for a kid who hasn't played much Pokemon I definitely recommend! My son has used this a lot & it has kept him going in the game. SO GLAD WE BOUGHT THIS!

Seriously when your razing New Pokemon from games you have never played. A guide to see what moves they get at what levels is like one of the best things you could learn from these guides not to mention use it for maps too. Maps for items is the next big reason why I got one. I wish I bought a guide for X. I need to find one. P.S. Best buy does bundle prices for game + Guide so if you don't have alpha or omega go buy it WITH the guide!

The game guide does a great job of walking you through the game with extra features about Pokemon.

Boyfriend loves this book, he been playing pokemon for years and found this too be very helpful with the new game. Has all the necessary info on the characters

The guidebook does what it says it's going to do. It helped me through some of the parts of the game I got stuck on. Just wish it had a complete pokedex.

Got this for my son for Christmas and he loved it. It also came with a poster inside.

This is an amazingly thorough guide. It is a must-have for all Pokémon fans.

The strategy guide was well done but not worth the price in my opinion. We found there wasn't really any need for the guide.

My children have frequently purchased the Game Guide when purchasing Pokémon games. I'm not certain how much new information they are getting from these books, but they spend hours looking at them so I consider them a great purchase.

Great handbook, helps you find things you didn't know were there and also teaches you the secrets as you pass your journey. I bought this handbook for $10 on sale at bestbuy

I gave this as a gift (along with the game) to my 9 year old son. He loves everything about Pokémon and loves to read through the book to help him get the most out of the game.
