These very affordable in-wall speakers sound outstanding.

The speakers are great, but after ordering I found the same set for $50 cheaper on amazon. Make sure you check other sites before purchase. Wish I would have.

This is my first experience with Polk Audio speakers and I know I made the right choice. Big bold speakers that produce immersive sound. Watching movies is a wonderful experience with these speakers.

I got these speakers for the ceiling for the outside patio. They sound great. I got these instead of the RC80 because they have a little bit more frequency response on the lower end.

This series is a great value for power and sound. This 8" pushed some awesome bass and sounds crisp.

I was really concerned about buying in-wall speakers for my home theater. I was worried they would sound tinny and I might have to cover up a huge hole in my wall if I didn't like this solution. After getting the wires to the hole, I installed them in about 10 minutes. I fired them up and I couldn't believe how good they sounded. I have a Denon AVR and I ran Audyssey and my movies sounded huge. I run music on multi-channel and the bass and highs are better than I could have hoped for. I bought the matching RC80i for the rear surround in the ceiling and they are a good match. I'm running a 7.2 system and I am really glad I bought the RC85i's. I painted the grills and use the tooth pick method to break through the areas where the holes were plugged. If you paint, use a sponge brush and use the lightest touch possible.

Speaker looks ok, but the plastic clips designed to hold it to the ceiling, snapped very easy. 3 of the 6 broke with manually turning the screw. I heard a "snap" and that was it. cheap plastic mounts. Will be returning.

I paired these speakers with the rc80i in ceiling speakers. The system is impressive and I like the way the grilles are made to be painted to have the speakers disappear into the walls. The front speakers play more content so I like the way that they handle it all while sounding great.
