The Mario graphics and bright color scheme are fun for him. Only problem I have - there is no off switch so batteries run out fast.

Only thing which was my mistake was he wanted a wireless one and this one is not, but we still get use it from time to time.

We don't use the switch as a handheld - I'm not too fond of the joycons since my hands cramp up, so this controller is perfect. Feels like an xbox controller when it comes to ergonomics but the quality isn't as high - still good though, just compared to the xbox controller, it feels cheap.
