Great Game for a Assassins Beginners

Assassins Creed is one of my favorite franchises and I have bought every game since the start. With that being said, I would put this game in the mid range of my favorite Creed games. It is a great game but it has its problems. Main at this moment is the frame rate(lag) and bug problems. I'm hoping this will get patched soon by Ubisoft. The story is somewhat interesting but doesn't really connect with past Creed games. Which is why this is a good place to start if you're new to the franchise. They have done away with most of the Animus "real world" stuff and subbed in cut scenes. A big plus I like about this game is the customization. You haven't really had this many options to change the look of you're character. So you will never really see two players that look similar. Which brings up the Co-Op. I think this is the highlight of this game. I enjoyed doing missions with friends and running around getting in trouble. All your progress, both in Co-op and single player, are the same. Controls have improved but this have those strange times when your character doesn't do what you want. Overall this is a fun game to play with friends or by yourself. Customizing your character is great and missions are a blast. Just don't expect a great story and be prepared for some choppy play(for now at least).

After hearing all the bad things about this game, i decided i'd take a chance and buy it anyhow. It's a very rare occasion that Ubisoft delivers a bad game. This game plays just fine, despite what the media and haters might make you believe. Yes, there are very specific places where you can get the game to drop frame rate, but those places are literally about 1/1000th of the game. It's been greatly exaggerated. What other slight issues there are in this game Ubisoft is fully commited to fixing. So i'm not worried in the least. The game setting over all, i was worried that i couldn't relate to, but over all i'm finding myself right at home as with all over assassin creed games. The greatest addition to this series is the ability to descend down buildings very quickly. It's a hugely welcome addition, thought it's done at the expense of a tweak to the controls. Which i found awkward at first. Even the fighting mechanics have changed. It's more timing based, and less canned animation. So it's even harder to time a block. The sheer amount of NPCs on the screen at one time shows exactly why this game is current gen only. There's no way it could have been done on PS3 or Xbox 360. Overall, i'm enjoying the game. Don't let the nay sayers stop you from buying another AC hit.

I've been a fan of the AC series since the beginning and I was a bit disappointed with this chapter. The games characters are not interesting in the slightest the gameplay leaves something to be desired and Arno's fighting skills cannot compare to his predecessors. The story takes place in France yet almost everyone speaks with a British accent. That being said the graphics are amazing and the co-op missions are fun. The main campaign is short but there's lots of side missions to go back for. I would cautiously recommend it.

French Revolution brought to life on PS4!

Assasins Creed Unity gives gamers an inside view of the French Revolution with the power of the Play Station 4, revealing the well known struggles of the people of France, and not so well known ways of a secret society, and their contributions to it. Great story with accurate depictions of historic figures. Just a small issue with controlling the main Character Orno, and a sometimes glitchy camera. Overall, a very good game, definitely worth the discounted price since there is a new Assasins game available.

Great game. But it's Assasins Creed, they don't make a bad game. The graphics are smooth and seamless. Great new options in this one.

Great game so far. The graphics are very top notch and the Assassin's Creed franchise is typically fantastic with great story lines. The only drawback is that the game suffers from some minor lagging issues and I have encountered a fair amount of glitches. Hopefully down the line they release a patch to fix them, but overall I enjoy the game.

I enjoy playing Assassin's Creed, I have every version available for the ps3, and knowing this is one of the first set of games available for next gen consoles make it that much sweeter, the graphics are noticeably better and the multi player is awes om.

I've owned all the Assassin's Creeds games and I love them. The graphics are awesome and it so much fun to play. I really enjoy the coop aspect, which is a first for me. There are a ton of side missions, more than any other game, so it'll keep you busy.

I love the AC games and really enjoyed Black Flag. I had high expectations for Unity. I have not had as many of the bugs as others have had but it has had a negative impact on my thoughts on the game. I enjoy the story and graphics are amazing. I enjoy the history aspect of the series and the French Revolution was an exciting place to play in. I know the Ubisoft has been fixing some of the issues but one of the things I worry about is when is the game going to crash. That is not a fun way to play a game. There is a ton of stuff to do in the game. Besides the main missions there are many different side quests that can seem overwhelming once you unlock the map and all the icons pop up. It is satisfying to clear out those icons as you progress through the game. Overall this is a fun game that I do enjoy. It is not quiet where AC 4 was, but still a good game with its bugs.

As others have said, when this was first released it was pretty buggy, but now most of the big problems have been fixed. It's another game in a series I've liked and I love the feeling of exploring cities in the past that I've actually visited in modern times and seeing them from a different but surprisingly similar view. The game itself isn't bad, but it does feel like the series had more potential that was never fully realized, which is somewhat disappointing.

As someone who has played every entry in the series, I was fully aware coming in to Assassins Creed Unity to expect a lot more of the same in certain regards. There is a formula in place that has been followed to much success, however following the excellent Black Flag I had high hopes that Unity would have its own spin on one of gaming biggest franchises. Such has not been the case, however. While the game attempts to refocus on the assassination aspect of the series, it has in the process left much on the table in terms of wasted potential. While there is a certain sense of satisfaction in executing a well thought out assassination with a extended lead up, it quickly becomes evident that most such encounters are a very linear affair. Certain choices and options are presented in terms of how to go about your mission, however they amount to little more than choosing which object to interact with before following much the same path. This lack of true variety in gameplay makes this entry feel like the first step back for the franchise in many, many years. Hope exists for the future though, as Ubisoft has done an excellent job creating a next gen vision of Paris in which to conduct these repetitive escapades. Perhaps this years title will expand the gameplay in a way seen from the first Assassins Creed to the second.

Unity suffered from many bugs at launch, but since I just bought it in on black friday, my experience of the game my differ from others. I didn't encounter many bugs, there were still some in the multiplayer missions where the npc would just stand in place, leaving the players unable to advance the mission and having to quit. Bugs aside, what makes this game forgettable is the bland and predictable story, which was very short, the side missions were boring and repetitive, follow this guy, defend this guy, go kill this guy, and the collectibles turned the game into a chore. I'm aware they are 'optional," but for people who like to finish their games one hundred percent it will become a nauseating snooze fest. The movement also seems to have taking a step backwards from black flag. You will find yourself being frustrated time after time as you become stuck on a railing trying to drop onto the balcony or repeatedly skipping over a hole instead of climbing down the ladder or climbing a tower ninety percent of the way only to find out that the game does not want you to climb up that way and have to drop to the ground only to climb up on the opposite side of the tower. A decent game. Only recommend for the completionists fans. Otherwise I would skip.

The reviews for this game are not great; however, as of the moment I bought the game in March 2015, most of the technical bugs that warranted the initial low review scores have been patched appropriately. As a series veteran, I think the gameplay for this title is excellent. I very much enjoyed the murder mysteries included as missions. The game does little to advance the overarching Assassin's Creed storyline, but the game is fun.
