Came free with my Playstation+ membership, but say lukewarm reviews while shopping for another budget title and wanted to give my viewpoint. I've played through Dark Arisen four times now, including Hard Mode and Speedrun. I really enjoyed the story line and game play. Controls are not overly complex like some games, and you can hack-and-slash your way through if that's your style. An excellent deal at BB's used price.

great rpg mechanics. you can ride monsters, cast huge mesmerizing spells, slash, or shoot arrows at enemies in satisfying ways. highly recommended

Dragon's Dogma is similar to games like Skyrim but the combat is much more fluid and responsive. If you play as a magic user, the spells are pretty cool. If you're a fighter, you can use your brawny strength to hold down monsters for your team to attack. The rogue-like class can climb on enemies a la Shadow of the Colossus to stab weak points. Like Skyrim, though, the story is up to you to find. You can play through the whole game without finding much about the world or events that take place in it. If you have a gaming PC, you'll want to get this game on there since it has major framerate improvements, but it's still well worth playing even on older consoles.

I picked this one up pre-owned as I missed it when it first came out. Turns out it was a better buy as pre-owned than new. not sure I would have wanted to pay full price for it. nothing too novel but its a great representation of its genre. Came with all the parts in playable condition. Manual was included. No major scratches on disc. Decent

Good game, but the expansion is not as good as the original but it does come with the original game.

This is a great game with a great story, its a bit on the lower end visual wise but well worth it based on the gameplay.

I have read that Dragon's Dogma is Capcom's stab at capturing the zest of the Elder Scrolls series with a dash of monster hunter. I haven't played a lot of the later and only some of the former, but I can say is that this title just screams on the PS3. It is gorgeous! If there is a multi-platform release on 360 vs PS3, I always went with the former. However, with a $15 price differential when I purchased this title, I decided to jump in and I have not been disappointed. It looks and plays like a dream similar in setting to other high-fantasy properties like Lord of the Rings. Strap in for a great adventure!

It plays similar to DragonAge, but combines elements of other RPGs as well.

A little on the expensive side but feels higher end.

Fans of the Dark Souls series will love this game as well

a friend told me about this game along time ago and i saw it for a good price, i was lucky that my used copy came with original game case

It feels great when you're fighting large enemies but when you're forced to fight the little gusy it's just terrible
