Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the excellent gameplay and large roster size as major strengths of WWE 2K16. Many also appreciate the improved career mode and the game's increased realism, although some find the controls challenging and the submission system difficult to master. A few players also mentioned issues with bugs and loading times. Overall, the positive feedback on gameplay and roster outweighs the negative comments on specific mechanics.

Read a lot of mixed reviews of last years wwe 2k15 and the only thing I read that people didn't like about this one was controls and game speed. I find they are easy to get used to and game speed can be adjusted. Love the graphics and all the old legends, takes anyone who enjoyed wrestling as a kid back to the good ol days

WWE 2K16 is definitely the highpoint of the WWE 2K franchise so far. The roster is enormous and the Stone Cold showcase is highly entertaining. The reversal bar and submission hold revamping are a great addition as it truly adds new layers of strategy to the match. Looking forward to the upcoming showcases and can't wait to see what WWE 2K17 has in store.

This game greatly improves upon WWE 2K15. The number of characters is staggering in comparison to previous iterations of the game, giving you the ability to play the WWE you want to play. Universe mode continues to improve, with better storylines and more logical match-making and rivalries. My Career has been expanded as well, allowing users to play up to a 15 year career rising up the WWE ranks, with the ultimate goal of reaching the Hall of Fame bringing with it a more satisfying end goal. 2K Showcase continues to be a solid showcase of WWE's history, and has been expanded to create more replayability, should you choose to go that route. The gameplay itself is also improved, with better mini-games for pinning and submission holds, more logical, WWE style gameplay, and working holds added to continue to bring more realism to the play style. Many of the missing modes from last year have returned, from the larger match variety to the large creation suite that has been a staple of WWE games for years. All in all, this is a solid game.

This game bought back some game types that were missing from last year, but it still is missing some matches like special referee, inferno, casket match, etc. The roster is Huge! Graphics are better than last year especially the faces, multiplayer servers still suck.

I love how the roster is one of the largest ever. Also new wrestlers that have not been in a game yet. Reversal system could be better. Overall i really enjoyed this game. Any wrestling fan would want this game for there collection.

I'm a wrestling junkie, so this was A LOT of fun. But the roster size alone makes this one truly stand out. Being able to play as Sting was particularly a treat. Get it for a great price like I did and have a ball. Especially right now at Wrestlemania time!

I really like the looks and sounds of the WWE games, but this is another one that is just too much of a pain for the average gamer to deal with. The Create-A-Wrestler system is really good, the different game modes like Universe & Career are really good, also. But this game is too tricky with its reversal and pin systems that you can get frustrated really quickly. They are split second button hits, and if you miss them, you're gonna get mad. So if you're used to that from previous WWE games, then you'll love this one. If you're not, stay away otherwise you're going to be mad when you decide to trade this in.

I didn't really like 2k15. Just did career and story and that was it. I really like 2k. The austin mode is great. The roster is better then ever. Career mode seems to blow last years out of the water.

Good game overall. Huge roster, and they brought back a lot of missing features from last time. My major complaint is the submission system. It is terrible. I've lost so many matches where I'm beating the stuffing out of people and they slap on a dinky headlock and I can't get out. I also wish they'd bring back custom music for create a wrestler. Zaps the fun out of creating missing characters when I can't add their own music that's not in the game. Supposedly this is an issue with the console itself but it's been 2 years now they've gotta find a way by now.

Great wrestling game, in fact best in years, but still missing key matches and features that keep it from being amazing. Title glitch as well as other bugs are aggravating.

What a disappointment. I will first comment on the positive; 1. Alot of missing modes have returned 2. Large roster 3. Improved graphics Now what I really disliked; 1. Submission system - really chasing blue/red bars. Strike 1 2. Pin kick out system based on button timing. Strike 2 3. Character movements slow and still stiff feeling. Strike 3 Good for a rental not a purchase

The bull for Round 2 of the XBONE/PS4 era for WWE has rung. Quite honestly i would say they answered the ball, but they certainly did not come out like a house on fire. The return of beloved match types is a plus, but i find some to still be missing (triangle tag anyone?). The graphics have appeared to take a step back, but the physics seem to be a bit more on-point. One thing that is a little buggy is the movement. A few times i would find myself crawling away and an opponent missing when trying to grab my foot, only to have the animation re-start but i'm not warped into my oponnent's arms. The submission system is a little quirky, but presents a nice challenge. The pinning system is fun too with the marker to kick out always moving around. I LOVE that counters are now capped. I believe you start with 4 and while it does regenerate, i've found that it does it and a slow enough pace to keep your opponent from reversing everything you do. Showcase is still limited in its freedom, but i personally love it because i want to re-live the storyline as it actually happened. I haven't jumped into MyCareer yet, but i'm looking forward to it. Universe is a good time as well. Especially now that they have done away with the "brands" and superstars can appear on multiple shows.

This game is amazing in EVERY aspect, BUT character creation. That's been dumbed down a bit. You can't really make inhuman looking characters as easilyas you could in previous games. You can make just about any human looking character, though. The face has a great level of customization, but not many templates, meaning that you may end up having characters that look related, but have different features. If you buy WWE games to make a custom character, try WWE 2K14. Otherwise, there are many cool new features in this game.
