Own the 4k disc. Purchased this dvd disc on the basis of it having a good art cover which I display along with other favorite films. Highly recommend viewing this film. It's the original Predator movie and one of the two or three best sf movies ever made by the film industry.

Thus is my wife's favorite movie, so I picked it out of the display for $6. We watched it that night, and the picture quality was excellent, we really enjoyed the movie, I'd recommend to anyone, especially if you want to see special effects on a new tv.

A lot of reviews mention the abundance of film grain in this 4K release, but it's honestly not that bad. Some people find it, some don't. I myself was very impressed, and the standard blu-ray had really bad noise reduction. This one looks great.

I have the Blue ray version of this movie and its not as clear as the 4k version. Glad I got this version and passed on the other version to a friend of mine who really wanted it. So its a win win. Great sound quality and awesome picture on the screen.

Amazing classic movie. A must own on 4k. This format brings it back to life.

The video and audio transfers are awesome! I've always loved this movie but only ever owned the VHS and DVD. Jumping to the 4k version is great! This isn't a cheap conversion either, you can tell real work was done to upgrade to 4K.

Predator in 4K UHD is a terrific way to watch this classic movie. Predator on Blu-Ray had problems with the way it looked, and all of that has been fixed in this new 4K UHD version. Price is great! Grab Predator in 4K and have some fun!

Predator has had a fairly problematic release on Blu-ray—repeatedly. The first Blu-ray release was plagued by a low bitrate and the even then older MPEG-2 compression codec. A little over two years later the so-called Ultimate Hunter Edition appeared (which my colleague Casey Broadwater covered in his Predator Blu-ray review), which significantly brightened the image as well as more than significantly upped the bitrate, now encoded via AVC, but then pretty much threw it all away by slathering the release with DNR. Though I have no conclusive information (something exacerbated by Fox's perhaps telling tight lipped stance regarding this release), it looks to me that this is simply the Ultimate Hunter Edition, slightly opened up to a 1.78:1 aspect ratio (encoded via AVC for its 2D edition and MVC for its 3D edition). All of the issues mentioned in review are still more than noticeable. The look of the image here is now much more consistent with HD video than film—it's certainly (relatively) bright (more about that below) and colorful, but there's virtually no grain to be seen anywhere in either the 2D or 3D rendering. Even in filtered scenes (like the red hued scene shown in screenshot 7), where one would expect to see lots of grain, there simply isn't any. I refer you to Casey's review linked above for a thorough analysis of the look of the film. In terms of the 3D experience, things are at least relatively better, though perhaps only incrementally. There's still next to no grain to be found, but the dimensionality here is rather striking at times, at least when compared to other recent post-conversion efforts like I, Robot. A lot of the film has not been post-converted at all, however. Simply removing your 3D glasses at various spots throughout the film show that there is no post-conversion whatsoever going on during various swaths of the film, and in fact sequences like the opening spaceship moments and the underlying images behind the credits roll have very little depth (the credits in fact are the most "dimensional" thing about the opening several minutes of the film, clearly standing out in the foreground, while the rest of the action plays out in a largely flat plane in the background).

Excellent Syfy The cast is top notch some of the best tough guys in the movies at that time a Schwarzenegger classic you can’t go wrong with this one i’m sure you’ve seen this one I suggest you see it again I highly recommend this film enjoy

Predator in my opinion is the best action/Sci-Fi classic from the 80s. The movie looks absolutely amazing in 4K. I didn't think the Blu-Ray was a great transfer but the 4K version is stunning and is easily the best way to watch Predator.

When it comes to 80's films, its kind of hard to top Predator. This was kind of the real introduction to Schwarzenegger and an intro to what would be an iconic creature and movie and score. Everything about this movie is pure perfection

Finally bought this camera after so many reviews. Used it to our Sedona and Page, AZ trips and captured superb photos. Easy to use and handy with the perks of a professional camera. Definitely a best buy for a beginner like me!

The movie was significantly then last time I saw it in 720p. It’s questionable when theirs 4K transfers of older movies but like but with grain you can absolutely see the upgrade in picture quality to this classic action movie.

This is the Predator I grew up watching with my brother and dad. Macho men thrown into a jungle with a killer alien? Endless one liners? Perfection. The Steelbook edition has gorgeous art and looks nice on shelf. Get this version!

I previously had the 3D version that had issues but was the best out there. Videowise, this is a great improvement on that edition. Unfortunately the audio is still DTS-MA and not an Atmos or DTS-X upgrade but still manageable. If you're looking to watch the original Predator, this is the way to go.

I bought the blu-ray copy to replace my original DVD copy. The 1080p transfer quality is so-so, but the audio is much better than the DVD copy that I had. You gotta love all of the weapons used in this movie.

Saw Predator in the theaters years ago and it is clearer on Blue Ray. Great film, Schwartzenegger at his best. He leads a team to the South American jungle on a rescue mission that becomes a test of survival. Great action, macho action and lots of fun. Not for children due to gore and language.

Great film! Interesting art choice but it works well.
