I thought this would have been a lot nicer project. The beats were great but the rhymes were disappointing. I expected more from Royce Da 5'9

It was an okay cd, meaning the music was okay but the lyrics was not that great.

It's All Good When Preem's on the Beats

This album really intrigued me since I hadn't picked up a full project produced by Premier since Gangstarr's 'Moment of Truth'. While Royce isn't my favorite emcee, he does this project justice. Preemo provides his usually neck nodding boom bap beats, while Royce provides aggressive gritty raps.
There are some down sides to this project. Most notably the length of the album. A few more songs would've been nice, I would've loved to hear a Royce and Jeru track(hint, hint). I also didn't like the fact that Premier samples all his beats from the same source musician. This leads to the beats sounding very similar. Other than those minor complaints, it's still a very solid effort for this collab.

What rap music has been missing

PRhyme is a much needed project for rap music in 2014. There are no attempts to crossover or be heard on the radio on this album. It's just pure beats and rhymes from one of the best lyricists and arguably the greatest producer in the history of rap music. A couple of the songs are just OK but most of them are great. The CD is also too short with just 9 songs.
