Apple Care is ALWAYS suggested

Apple provides support that is nine less than stellar and it's well worth the few extra dollars to purchase the Apple support on any Apple device. I do also recommend purchasing Square trade for anything that is not covered under AppleCare because it too is the best and it's league of services and warranties that you can possibly purchase.
