This CD was as good as I expected after all of the awards they won for it. I am definitely a new fan of Daft Punk now and look forward to their next CD release!

I only have one other album of Daft Punk and that's the soundtrack to Tron. I love the vocals and music. Great, complete album.

My All-TIme Favorite Daft Punk Album

Random Access Memories is my personal favorite album so far this year. If you listen to this album thinking another Homework, Discovery, or Human After All, you might be disappointed. This is influenced by the duo's musical tastes, which focuses primarily to the sounds of the 1970s and 80s. Giorgio by Moroder becomes a 9-minute epic after the man named after this song gives us a backstory to his passion towards music. Every minute sounds like a new layer of instruments added until the end, making it the best song of the album, which I also include Lose Yourself to Dance (better than Get Lucky in sound and rhythm) and Beyond (made me feel with the robots). Get Lucky sounds dull compared to the remaining tracks, but still holds its own as a single. I don't see myself listening to any other albums for the year (after listening to the great releases by Vampire Weekend, QOTSA, and The National).

Super retro, 70's funk, and disco. It's a hybrid of old styles, let still accessable to the casual modern listener. If your a Daft Punk fan, pick this up. If your just buying this for the mega hit Get Lucky, there my be little else on the record for you to enjoy. I was surprised that there are so many mid tempo to slow songs on the record. There are some strong inspired moments thoughout: Give Life Back To Music, Giorgio, Instant Crush, Lose Yourself To Dance, Doin' It Right. Overall a good record, but way over hyped as the next big thing. Fans of Daft Punk and EDM will enjoy.

I have all the other Daft Punk studio albums and this one is nothing like any of them. That being said I still really enjoy it. I feel like R.A.M. is more chilled out and relaxed but that is probably because it doesn't really have the steady electronic beat that I am used to hearing. Also this album has a very 70's disco and/or funk influence. Overall really good album but it is a departure from the norm.

Daft Punk are known for mixing up their sound every so often, and this keeps with that trend. It seems the disco theme is unexpected, but I suppose it was another frontier for them. Most of the tracks are really catchy and easy to listen to. It keeps with the Daft Punk feel with synthesizer sound, robot voices, and introspective themes. If you expected a sequel to the TRON album, don't look here.

With "Random Access Memories," Daft Punk has tapped into the disco-reserves of their souls and delivered an album that has already become THE music release of the summer. I think the weakest songs on the album are the two featuring Pharrell, so do your self a favor and pick up this album, dig deep into it, and see where it takes you, because everytime I listen to it, I'm taken back to the beginning of the album so I can listen to it all over again.

I've given the CD a few rounds, and the best song by far is "Get Lucky". There are a couple of other good songs, but nothing comes close to the swing and tempo of "Get Lucky". If you're a fan of Daft Punk, like myself, you are probably going to buy this CD. Otherwise, I would recommend just buying the single.

The first time I heard this music was on a music awards show. The music was so unique and fresh it drove me to Best Buy to buy the whole album instead of the usual down load of a song or two. Each song unique in its own way flows seamlessly through the album. A true creative genius and force Daft Punk is!

It's great that a band like Daft Punk is still around today. The album is some of the best produced electronic in a long time, although they use a the vocorder too much sometimes. Great melodies too. I give it a 90% rating.

I don't buy too many CD's these days, but Daft Punk is usually worth picking up. Their soundtrack for Tron Legacy was the best part of the movie! I really like most of the songs on here, but there are probably only 3-5 songs that would actually go on a playlist for repeat listening.

I have been a big fan since they started. And i was not disappointed with their new album. It's not as techno as the Tron soundtrack but definitely is Daft. Watching the videos leading up to the album on YouTube, I agree with Pharrell when he said they went backwards to go forward with music. My fave tracks are Touch, Lose Yourself to Dance and Get Lucky.

I bought this cd because it was an award winner this year and I liked the beats of the Cd… I was also surprised who was involved in the making of this cd. I added it to my I-tunes play and onto my dance play list.. I would also suggest this to my friends.

At first I was skeptical when I purchased this record, but it's an amazing album and has a very authentic and feel-good vibe across the album. Some of the vocoder stuff is a little annoying at times, but it is Daft Punk after all and that's what they do. I'd highly recommend to any music lover.

Daft Punk return triumphantly here uniting the sounds of disco, dance and electronic music with masterful precision. Get Lucky is one of the best singles of the year. Other highlights include Lose Yourself to Dance, Instant Crush, Doin' It Right, and the beautifully intense closer Contact.

At first I didn't like the first single, but it turned into one of those songs you can hear 2,000 times before you get tired of it. Probably one of the best produced records you will hear for a long long time. I have this on vinyl, CD and digital and they all sound GRREatt

This album is amazing. If you love Daft Punk, I think you'll love this as well. Different from their usual stuff such as Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger, Around the World, Human After All, but still electronica, still really good!!! A must add to your Daft Punk Library.

This new CD from Daft Punk is just as great as all the others that have come from this group up until now. Many of the songs are the same style of their past music but there are a couple of ones that show they are still improving their music as the years go by.
