I wouldn't expect anything less than perfection from David Gilmour. First the packaging of this box set is out of this world fantastic. The blu-ray disc is a great watch with some excellent video footage. Then there's two photo books, a poster, a postcard and a great guitar pick (of course David Gilmour is one of the masters of guitar). These treats alone are worth the cost of this Deluxe Box set... but what makes this set well worth the money is the music itself... and it's the music that makes us love David Gilmour. Every song is a standout with "Rattle That Lock" being a great new hit... it's upbeat and has a nice optimistic sound to it. "A Boat Lies Waiting" is a great tribute to the late Richard Wright. I say buy it, you'll love it!!!

Before anything, let's make it clear: This is not a Pink Floyd album and does not sound like a Pink Floyd album. Having said that, there are some instances where you do get that Pink Floyd vibe. This is the most true for the song 'In Any Tongue'. Everything else ranges from upbeat rock to a couple of jazzy numbers and of course, the mellow ambient songs that all have that signature David Gilmour sound.

I bought this set as a gift to my cousin and she loved it. She is a huge fan of all the work of the band and specifically David himself and she was very excited to receive this collection.

I mostly purchased this to support the hires release. Granted, it's a bit of a chore to rip the tracks to FLAC but it's doable. Sound quality is great, the interviews are good.

I loved the album, The single was probably the best song but the others are wonderful also. And the song that most hate that was out of place was really enjoyable-"The Girl In The Yellow Dress." The bluray video and audio were entertaining too. It was nice to see Richard Wright playing again!

Gilmour brings back his band to play on this album minus the late Rick Wright. Its a good album and offers a variation from his previous albums.

love pink Floyd so had to have this. wasn't what I expected but still thought it was good.

Blu-ray with cd, I thought I'd get to see the music video like the one on tv. There was an animation instead. Black screen replay of the same tunes as on cd. Back story of music production is nice, but too much. Collector book and guitar pick for over forty bucks... I like the music and I'm better off with just the cd.

Similar to "On An Island", IOW with Floyd gone, the closest we'll get.

If you love David Gilmour, you won't be disappointed, it's a more traveled sound than the pink material, not as off the cuff solo wise, but he's 70 , it's relaxing and bluesy

David Gilmour is one of the best musicians in the world and has been for years. This piece of work is his best solo work hands down!

Another great cd and dvd by David Gilmour. The dvd provides insight into the music on the cd. The dvd has some music not on the cd.

Rattle that lock has alot of different sounding songs, from the legendary Pink Floyd sound to the bluesy Girl in the yellow dress.

I have been a fan of David since the late 60's, and this release is not disappointing.
