Best microphone sound to come from a gaming headset. Solid audio, great soundproofing from stock ear cups, comfortable and light weight. Software works, Bluetooth works well too! Love this head set.

Excellent sound quality and very comfortable. But one of the headphones broke off entirely after 7 months of use. It's just dangling, completely unusable. That was disappointing. Considering the price I would expect them to hold up better.

Personally, the Razer Blackshark Pro V2 is a stellar gaming headset. I still use my v1 and am happy with it. Design: Razer kept the same pilot-inspired style that I like and looks fantastic. The same comfort is similar to V1, it doesn't apply clamping force over my ears or head even after a long time of wearing. The adjustable leatherette headband is one of my favorite features of this gaming headset, it is easy to adjust and comfy. Connectivity: This V2 comes with new welcoming improvements such as moving from USB to USB-C and adding Bluetooth capability along with a standard 2.4 Ghz USB. The smart switch button allows to switch between BT and USB dongle (does not support auto switching). The detachable mic sounds much better compared to its predecessor and my voice sounded clearer and louder when I played online with my friends. Another improvement is the EQ button for quick toggling between the default preset of EQs. However, one of the five default EQs is a custom that can be edited via Razer Synapse. What I like about it is the onboard saving which means I don't have to have Synapse once my preferred custom EQ is created. it will be saved on the headset itself. The volume dial is different and does not have a tactile feel, unlike the previous version. I just don't know why Razer removed this feature. The dial continues to roll when it is all the way up and down. As a result, when I used it on PC, and can see the volume indicator but on PS5 I can only tell when the tone beeps. I just hoped that Razer kept it and never changed it. I have been using it on my PS5 for the last 4 days and I'm impressed by how they sound cool and clear. I put it in the gaming mode, and it is terrific. Two things that I don't like; first, this version does have the carrying pouch the V1 does other than that it is my favorite design, and the battery lasts longer compared to its predecessor.

Purchased in May 2024. Many software issues and hiccups (well known and documented across the internet) for Razer products. Microphone issues from the software as well, often a plague having to reboot to get it working when launching a program befpre powering on the headset. Worked well enough when they did, however, cheap made plastic that breaks (as shown) doesnt warrant the price. I knew better than to purchase Razer brand products, but after reading many reviews, i figured maybe QA had improved with the products, but i was very wrong. Adult male; meticulously taken care of; Only used by myself and junked after 9 months. Theres better products with other companies.

I bought these headphones three months ago, and they got snagged on something on my desk, almost instantly breaking one of the ear cups (See Photo). One of the downsides to having a large gap by the ear cups. Before that, I loved this headset for gaming, working from home, listening to music, and chatting with friends on Discord. It was better in all areas compared to the other brands listed below. I'm incredibly torn on what to buy as a replacement. On the one hand, I love how these sound and want to buy again, but on the other, the build quality is SO MUCH worse than anything I've used recently, including Logitech, other Razer wired products, and the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro.

Audio is a fundamental part in video games, either to improve our record or if we want to play competitively, also communication with your team is extremely important to achieve a victory. It is clear that there are multiple options on the market, however, a headset that combines comfort, audio quality, a microphone with a clear and loud sound, the least amount of buttons, a battery that lasts a long periods of time and at a reasonable price, is a little difficult to find. The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro (2023) gaming headset meets practically all of these features and then some. Included in the box are the headset, microphone, wireless USB dongle, USB Type-A adapter, USB Type-A to Type-C charger cable and some documentation. The connection is very simple and easy, I have connected the headset to my PC with the wireless USB dongle and via bluetooth to my smartphone, in both cases the sound quality is quite good. In terms of performance the headset meet my expectations, or practically the demands that PC gaming and gaming in general currently require. The audio quality is outstanding, although I must say that in THX Spatial Audio mode there is not a big change, but it does improve the experience a bit. In relation to comfort I have nothing more to say, I have had them on for several hours daily and I have gotten used to them very quickly, to the point that sometimes I forget that I have them on. I have used them to play video games primarily, to listen to music, watch movies, YT content, listen to podcasts while I'm playing, in fact for multiple purposes and the result is satisfactory. The battery lasts a long time and it really lasts, I have been using these headset for a few days in a row with only a full charge and I have not reached 50% yet, this is a very strong point and that personally is appreciated. And speaking of things that stand out, the microphone is what most receives my attention because normally the microphones of wireless headset and more if they are detachable, don't always deliver a clear and strong sound as one would like, but in this case Razer has made an extra effort and it is noticeable, at all times my teammates hear me correctly and clearly, I have been very satisfied in this area. Regarding the design I can say that they are not the most aesthetic headset I've had because I consider them a little big, but I like them and mainly because they are comfortable. They come in matte black color, with sufficiently large earcups that cover my ear completely, at the moment it seems that I am using noise canceling headset. On the right earcup there is a knob that serves to modulate the volume, two buttons that are power and to mute or activate the microphone, on the right earcup the button to manage the bluetooth connection and also fulfills other functions such as switching device as well as selecting the equalization depending on the game you are playing, the software (Razer Synapse) has 5 presets for games that are Apex Legends, Call of Duty, CS:GO, Fortnite, Valorant, you can also create different presets to taste. In summary and based on my experience using gaming headset of different ranges, I can say that these headset offer enough and a little more for its price, there are headset that are around twice the price with practically the same performance, this product meets, and dare I say, exceeds my expectations. I can certainly recommend them highly.
