Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the Blade 15 Base's excellent screen quality and performance, frequently praising the visuals and ability to run games smoothly. However, some users note that the laptop can get warm during extended use and that the fans can be noticeable at times. The battery life is also considered adequate for a gaming laptop.

Has been great so far. Beautiful screen. Good battery life. Plays games with ease. Does run hot (expected with i7). Only complaint is the fan design is flawed. If you hold the laptop from the bottom the fan screen will bend and hit the fan. Otherwise love it. Compared to M1 chip it runs faster and handles multiple programs without lag. Unfortunately, battery life is better on M1 and M1 has significantly less heat.

I bought this laptop TWICE! OLED display is solid!

I actually bought this laptop the first time and I was convinced I made a mistake for gaming so I had returned it for the Advanced 2020 model with the 300hz display --- and the colors are HORRIBLE in comparison to the OLED model of the Blade. If you do any productivity work and do any gaming outside the realm of competition or hxc first person shooting games too, then you will want this OLED version of the Blade over the high refresh rates. ESO on this display is gorgeous and once you see it and how beasty the system is overall you will never be able to go back to a 1080p screen for productivity work and gaming. I thoroughly regret having returned it the first time so I had to wait a week for the 300hz blade to get to my house so i could return it and buy the OLED version for a second time. Please trust me that you will want the OLED if you are a student, programmer, or do any kind of productivity or design work next to heavy (casual) gaming. I am giving this 4 stars Razer and only because it does get a bit hot sometimes under heavy load but also because this is 2020 and we need 4k/2560×1440 displays with high refresh rates on laptops!!!

    My new gaming laptop

I love my Razer Blade. Usually all my stuff is from ASUS ROG, but after looking a lot of YouTube videos and reading reviews, I decided to buy a Razer Blade. I I definitely don’t regret to go with a 4K OLED screen, because video games and movies just look great! I wish, I would have been able to test it at the store, but they don’t have any games installed (Best Buy you need to fix that). Now I know that I can play most games on ultra settings with 60 FPS, but I have to scale down the resolution to 60-70% and I can’t use ray tracing, DLSS helps though if the game supports it. I am actually surprised that I can play Forza Horizon 4 4K with around 50 FPS, of course most people will say I rather play 1080p with a higher refresh rate, but I prefer the contrast & colors of the OLED. I think it’s a great laptop, I would definitely recommend it. PS: you can buy cool skins for it that also protects the laptop for scratches.

Beautiful screen, pretty keyboard, a little hefty and the fans are loud. Battery lasts a good long while. Better for a gamer than a designer.

Great laptop. As a programmer and sometimes gamer I really enjoy using this laptop because of the quality it has and the great 4K OLED screen. This laptop is powerful but if you are going to play games for long periods of times, I would recommend lift the laptop so it can get more air from the vents and buy a cooling pad. Then your laptop will take any game easily. It makes some noise when you are just browsing the web; however, I didn't feel that this bothered me too much.

My very first Razer Blade. Build quality is great. Upgradeable RAM and storage. Powerful processor and graphics. Highly customizable. But if purchasing for gaming, it’s 4K Display makes it pointless for most. Why? Well at 60Hz it lacks the refresh rate needed for FPS, so you’ll be unable to enjoy this for competitive gaming unless you do RPG, Simulators, Racing, or RTS. Forget about shooters. The colors look great on some games and like the Covenant is glassing Earth in other games lol. Couldn’t get it quite right. Furthermore, due to the pixel density, the GPU has to work much harder to produce the equivalent picture of a 1080p or 1440p display, which made some games unplayable unless you downscaled the whole computer screen to 1080p. So what is 4K good for? Basic productivity. Netflix. Maybe a content creator (but I hear there’s better options for them too). In short, if purchased, this laptop will serve you well as a desktop gaming replacement with external monitor and for beautiful work / video streaming when you’re on the go. That’s it.

Oled screens are better than matte screens with high refresh rate. This laptop is a creator, with the ability to game as well. Performance combining with cooling system and thin and lightweight makes it an ideal laptop to carry around. It symbolizes "WORK HARD, PLAY HARD."
