After reading all the beginners reviews I was worried. Received laptop in a janky box. After that it was smooth sailing, no back light bleed, no coil whine, lg monitor (brighter monitor), no scratches and still has stickers like it was brand new. Had a little thermal issue, changed back to balance from gaming in the Razer app and got acceptable thermals. Totally worth the price

Let me just get the good out of the way, the laptop is amazing. Performance, quality, build, fit and finish its all great no knocks on Razer, great product.
The 2 stars is for the "Geek Squad" refurb process. Based on other reviews I think I actually got a half way decent one but even with that said there were and still are issues. First Windows was not installed correctly, to the point where I was not able to log into my brand new to me laptop. Luckily I work in IT so had no problem doing a full clean install of Windows but this may have been a deal breaker right away for some people.
There was also something either broken or that had gotten inside the laptop as it was rattling around. Again I was fine with opening it up and removing the piece of plastic.
My last and still current issue is the left speaker is totally busted on this thing. Which I sort of don't understand how you can ship this as a refurbished product when one of the speakers is shot, how does that not get tested before shipping? I do plan on replacing the left speaker myself.
All in all I am enjoying the laptop as I said it is a great product. But I would recommend buying it brand new and avoid the "Geek Squad" Refurbished product lottery unless you are willing to put in some work on the laptop. And potentially have to return it as others have had to.

Great machine, horrible refurb process. First machine didn't have Windows loaded. Returned it and got a new one and this one did not have the new drivers including WiFi. Touchpad did not work. Best buy should not be allowed to sell Razers unless their Tech support can help. On the phone for hours, spent hours downloading drivers and now it works better, but touchpad doesn't work. Both Geek Squad "Techs" were clueless! First one said, this is way above for me to fix. Second one started crying. I have spend over 20 hours fixing what BEST BUY refurb team should have done. Needed this for Engineering and now with all of the time delays, can't use.

When i got it there was no original box. There were scuffs on the lid. Those not big deals. Everything seem to be working fine after several windows updates. Then i noticed i could barely hear the speakers. I had to put my head to the keyboard while watching netflix to hear sound. i went into best buy and listened to a new Razer. Big difference. So i just returned it and bought new one. Best buy doesnt seem to do a very good job with refurbishing laptops at least in this case and the other reviewer. They probably see it turns on and thats it and sends it out to us. Probably someone will get my old one. So i blame best buy. stick with the new. now the new Razer is awesome. but costs a lot more

I normally do not leave reviews on products but I felt the need to on this one because I was skeptical when I first made my purchase. There were several bad reviews about Best Buy's refurbish process. All I can say is that I am so glad I did not let the couple of bad reviews detour me from my purchase. The laptop I received was GREAT! It needed some updates to firmware and windows, which is completely expected and there was one tiny small scratch on the bottom which is not a big deal. Other than that everything was perfect. You can't find a 15 inch Razer laptop with these specs for this price anywhere else. Highly recommended to anyone looking for one!

As far as the computer went it is awesome. Razers are incredibly nie and this one happened to be my favorite. There was an issue with mine where it didnt perform the way it should have. I had frame rate issues and had to return it quickly to get a new computer that worked properly. I got a brand new razer 15 which is great. This is the second open box pc i have gotten with issues from best buy. I suppose it is expected somewhat since there was a reason someone returned them, however they are not as refurbished as they should be.

The hardware was broken from the get go. Geek squad may have tested this refurbished laptop but it remains unresponsive to any fixes.

I have been looking for a laptop for around 2 months now and i needed something that could handle graphics intensive programs such as 3D modeling, but i also wanted to be able to game on it if i so desired. When i read the reviews i was nervous to buy it but since it comes with a 3 month warranty from geek squad i thought it was worth a shot. When i first opened it up it didn't power on for about 3 minutes so i started to get really nervous that i also got a bad unit. Turns out the battery was just completely drained. Also i did need to update the drivers so i definitely recommend doing that as soon as you turn it on. My only complaint is that geek squad claims to have professionally cleaned it and there is some brownish stains on some of the keys, which is something i think is minor enough to maintain a 5 star rating. Overall, this is a beautiful, very low-key gaming laptop that i would not be afraid to take into a meeting. I haven't gotten the chance to truly test out the gaming performance yet but i have played a few games and they run silky smooth with more than adequate fps. Definitely recommend.

Came to me with a few minor scratches on the front. Usage was fine until a week later, I noticed the hinges under 2 of the key caps were broken.
