Awesome haptic feedback, however the wired version has this nasty static noise that’s loud that happens here and there. Very annoying especially when playing a scary game and my guts drops because of headphones

The sound and fit are good, but the hypersense is kind of overrated, it doesn't really feel like an immersive experience but rather similar to a controller vibration on your head

Returning this product for another this one crackled occasionally. Maybe for sounds in a certain range. I’ve tried for a few days at troubleshooting the issue. Other than the crackling mic quality pretty good. I don’t like the location of the physical mute button in the back of the headset. Sound was fine when it wouldn’t crackle.

I’ve tried Razer headsets in the past but never found past models compelling enough to sway me away from my long-time favorite brand. This new Razer Kraken V3 headset changes all that and provides some serious competition. Build quality is solid and the fit is comfortable. The body is lightweight but sturdy. The foam earpads and headband are soft and supportive without feeling too firm or too mushy. They feel soft, comfortable, and remain cool during long wearing sessions. I don’t feel any pain or pressure on my ears or temples even after hours of wear. The RGB lighting is prominent yet somewhat muted. It’s the perfect amount of brightness; bright enough to be noticed but not so bright and garish that it looks like I have a Times Square billboard on my head. When I connected the headset to a Windows 10 PC, Windows automatically initiated the installation of the Razer Synapse and associated companion apps. The apps provide sound and lighting control as well as device management. The apps aren’t mandatory to use the headset but are required if users want to fine tune and tweak sound and lighting.
Sound quality is excellent. My other headset has 7.1 THX sound and these sound every bit as good if not better. Games sound clear with good loud impactful effects and equal balance between effects, voice and background music. Sounds are very distinct and clear. I can hear ambient sounds like insects chittering in the distance as crystal clear as primary sounds like a car engine or helicopter flying overhead. The more dramatic effects are greatly enhanced by the haptic feedback which adds a lot to the overall sound quality. I wasn’t sure how I initially felt about the haptic feedback which felt a little odd at first. Once I got accustomed to the sensation, it added a lot more depth to the immersive feel of games. I no longer simply just hear explosions, collisions, and other loud booming effects, I feel them as well. The best way I can describe it is that it reminds me of how much different and better bass heavy music sounds when played through a set of warm bass tuned headphones compared to being played through a set of completely flat and bright skewing headphones. Speaking of which, music sounds good through this headset as well. Although a gaming headset would never be my go-to device for listening to music, these sound good enough to use in that manner if desired.
This Kraken headset has for now officially replaced a gaming headset I previously thought irreplaceable, but there are a few things I do miss about my prior headset. Inline controls, like I had on my previous headset, would have been nice. The on-cup controls on this set are spaced well and are easy and intuitive to access but inline controls are much easier and more convenient than any cup mounted controls, no matter how well designed the cup controls are. Another thing I miss is the cord of my prior headset. It was nice and long which allowed me freedom to move around the desk area comfortably without removing the headset. The USB connection cable on these is significantly shorter and more restrictive. I must remove the headset to reach over to the other desk or anywhere outside the immediate desk area. Those are the only two areas where this headset lacks compared to the prior set. Otherwise, I’m enjoying the Kraken V3 so far. They add new depth to my games which sound and feel much more realistic. The haptic feedback is absolutely essential to the overall sound and feel and not merely a gimmick.

Great quality for the price. The bass boost on anything other than low is overkill.

Had the first razer kraken then upgraded to the razer kraken v2 and now to these and love them. The wireless version had some issues with razer synapse but the wired ones are the way to go.

The mic isn't that good. My friends complained that my voice had no bass in it and it was irritating for them. I used an equalizer to adjust it, but it wasn't enough. I ended up using a desk mic as a substitute.
The headset itself sounds clear. It's a tad too loud at its default volume. I ended up having to reduce the volume of all my applications as I open them.
The "hypersense" feature is nice and really makes this headset stand out.

What a great product! Love the hypersense setting change button under the R ear, so immersive in gaming applications when turned all the way up
