In my opinion these are DIRT cheep fo there price, I say this because they are extremely comfy on my ears and head there‘a no other head set that I ever used for this price that nails it down, the audio is also something to talk about it’s clear as day and I have never had a problem, I was genuinely impressed from the quality ( when I bought them ) they were 40 bucks but these truly feel like they should be 80$

Band Broken After Only 3 Months

Purchased several of these for members of my team for remote work in March/April/May of 2020. Initially they seemed to be a good value, with good audio quality for the cost.
However, after a few months the headbands on several of them began to crack and eventually fail. Even though they were used almost daily, they were never abused and never traveled (thrown in bags, etc).
Razer support was not helpful. It took nearly a month to get a response to my warranty request. Once they responded, I was informed the damage was not covered by the limited warranty.
My recommendation is to look into other options for inexpensive headsets, or spend a little more for a better quality unit. Consider yourself warned about Razer's poor warranty support.

Hello. My mom's son is writing this. I got this a gift from my mother on Christmas day. Through my time of using this product it has worked very well. I never had any real trouble with it. So why am I giving this a one star? Because it lasted me only 5 months. I have not bought a warranty on this product because I did not expect it to break so fast. I feel scammed.

These are pretty awesome! Super light weight, I can wear them for hours and I forget I’m wearing them. Very comfortable Around the ears. 2 things that pushed me away from 5 stars... there’s no volume/ mute controls on the headset itself. Kind of a bummer I have to go through the game systems audio option menu to turn up the volume. And unplug it from controller if I need to mute it.

The headset is light and comfortable. The sound quality is very clear and the microphone is flexible and out of the way with great sound quality. I use them for work to answer calls while I work because they plug directly into my computer. My daughter uses hers for gaming.

The headset delivered on everything that it promised, meeting the minnimum expectations i had set for this device directly out of the box. Essentially what your getting is a $40 headset that work and sound like what you would expect a $40 dollar headset to work and sound like... The sound is just fine, and i have no complaints considering the low price i paid for it. Dont expect an all encompassing binarual experience, but for the money you should be pleasently stisfied with the surround sound capabilites this set packs in. Defiently not Studio ready, but should be more than sufficiient for gaming/telecom. Music isnt my favoritge thing to hear through these heaphones, especially songs that have higher pitched snare elements or low frequency bass effects, which either sound too sharp to be comfortable listening to, or too low to really hear every detail. I cant imagine that most people will be using this set as their primary headset for listening to music, but still, a little more attention to the acoustics would have been nice. With that said, there is no reason you shouldnt listen to music on them if they were th eonly pair you had availble, just not my preffered method. Also another huge thing that dampens the expericne of these heaphones for me, is the build quality and shaping/padding of the headset iitself, which, by razers standards, is below the standard i would expect form a company who typically pays great attention to the comfort of the users they are selling to. I work as a virtual assistance, and i have these sets on sometimes 4 hours ata time. It becomes noticebly uncomfortable and awkwards after about 20 minutes of use, which shouldnt be an isse even at this prcie point. I also nnotice at about the hour mark that ive been wearing the set, my ears will become incredible tender and warm from the hard plastic on the isnde of the speaker muffs, whcih eventually cause them to get bright red and tender to the touch. Im not sure if this due to the fact beig that they are still pretty new and havent been broken in/loosed since iev gotten them, but more than likely it is a harware flop that dampens the overall scoring of this headset. I even let my boyfriend use them for a coupe hours while he games, and after about 30-40 minutes in, he too began experincing the irration and redness caused by the thin layeing of fabirc between the speaker and your ear. That being said, the muffs are large enough to fit my ears comfortably and any larger would jst make it that much more uncomfortable, but im glad that, for me atleast ,they fir=t nicely in that respect. The microphone is actually pretty decent, and i have no complaints regarding the sound from the mic, Customers report being able to clearly hear me at all time with litto or no intt=erruption on razers psart ,and for the most part it does good job limiting the sounds you dont want to be incuded in your call or recording.

I wish the sound quality was just a little better, but it's not bad. We (3 of us) were all using a headset with the metal rest thing and none of us liked it. It's just what we had during the move. This headset Razer-Kraken blah blah, is great for comfort. The microphone seems to work just fine. We do wish it retracted. It was very well packaged.

Want some decent gaming headphones but don't wanna pay the Razer pricetags? These are seriously in the "not bad" category. Light weight, the sound is absolutely acceptable, and you can be a real gamer with Razer equipment without breaking your bank. Good for a travel set of gaming headphones.

I purchased this Kraken X Lite as part of a bundle with the Ornata Chroma keyboard and have been using it for my Xbox since it only comes with a 3.5mm audio jack, or a 3.5mm splitter to use the headset on a PC using the separate audio and microphone inputs, which also extends the length of the cable considerably. This version of the Kraken does not have a USB adapter. Build quality seems solid and I've had no issues with it in the time I've owned it (almost a year now).
In order to take advantage of the 7.1 sound, you have to download Razer's "7.1 Surround Sound" app using the code provided with the headset. I personally found it added nothing to the experience, so I never really use it. It gave the audio more of a synthetic, echoey tone, for a lack of a better term. Because this is a 3.5mm only headset, there are no equalizers to adjust within Synapse as it does not detect it as a compatible device.
One of my main gripes is with the sound quality of the drivers. They have a muddy sound to them when using them to listen to music, movies, etc. For gaming they're fine, but I wouldn't recommend this for listening to anything else, expecting a high fidelity experience.
Another issue I have with the headset is that it is somewhat uncomfortable with a higher clamping force than other headsets I've tried. I main the Arctis 5 Wired for PC gaming and find it much more comfortable with the larger ear cups and lighter clamping force. The leather ear cups on the Kraken X Lite get very warm and do not fit over my ears as nicely as my Arctis 5. With the foam earcups on my Arctis 5, I can game for hours without my ears getting as warm or sweaty.
The last issue I have with it is more of a personal preference, but there are no mute/volume adjustments anywhere on the headset. Everything must be controlled with the device you are using to playback what you are listening to.
For the price though, these are decent but I feel one would be better suited with a Steelseries Arctis 1 or even some of Turtle Beach's offerings.

The reason I got this pair of headsets was due to the bundle or came with a Razer Mech. Keyboard. I intended to this to be used with my Nintendo Switch and result was ok. The light weight of the the headsets kind of gives it a “cheap” feeling and the non-retractable mic are a negative in my opinion. To be fair the sound profile is not so bad for a Razer product at this price point. In the end you pay what you get for and if weren’t for the included bundle, I would’ve passed on it and saved for something a little better.

I wanted a comfortable headset with a microphone for video meetings (Windows PC) that was not too expensive yet decent. The unit is light, and the earpieces fit fully over my ears. I love the flexible microphone, as it is easy to move out of the way. It works well when right in front of your mouth, but nowhere else, which is great if you have other noise elsewhere around you. Mine does not include mute and volume controls on the headset (or anywhere), so I think the description on Best Buy is in error. There is a handy Y adapter for separate mic/headphone inputs if you need it, but it also doubles as a 5' extension.
I compared the quality of music on this against an older Bose headset. While the quality is good, the Bose still wins, but it cost a lot more, even 10 years ago. I am happy with the overall quality of the unit for what I use it for. It comes with 7.1 sound, and I tested using some of the online tests and was able to hear from all "angles", so gamers would probably like it. I gave it 5 stars not because it is the best, but good for the price range.

This is an amazing headset. Honestly at first when I opened it they seemed very cheap but once I began to use them I’ve come to find great audio quality and good mic. Which is had an onboard mute function but still amazing.

This works like a $40 headset would.. Audio is nice, mic is nice but it's not fantastic. Also on this site they're definitely mistaken, they advertise that there is a mic mute/volume control with it but there is not.
