    Amazing with a couple caveats

First off, this controller feels amazing. Being able to set my in-game dead zones to zero without having any stick drift is a game changer. The controller feels great in the hand and is super responsive. The rear buttons are perfectly placed and are easy to use. The only two downsides are that the controller is missing Bluetooth (for $200 it should have it) and there is currently no way to update the firmware VIA the Xbox app even though this controller is designed for Xbox. Support stated I need to update the software VIA a PC which I do not have. This is a bummer but I'm sure they will eventually make it possible to update the controller with the Xbox app. Overall the controller is one of the best Xbox controllers I've ever used and has surpassed my expectations. In comparison to the Microsoft Elite Series controllers, this blows them out of the water. If you are on the fence, definitely go ahead and purchase this. You will not be disappointed.

I have been waiting for a long time and have searched exhaustively for a 3rd party alternative to the Microsoft Elite series controller for the XBOX Series X. My wait appears to be finally over. With only a few minor things I don't really like about the Razer V3 Pro, for the most part I love this controller. Premium build quality and performance, clicky/tactile buttons, hall effect sticks that are complete perfection, seamless integration into the XBOX eco system by way of a plug and play dongle that works instantly, and a decent enough app experience with enough customization to make for a completely enjoyable gaming experience. For too long the XBOX gaming community has been stuck with the poorly built and unreliable Elite Series controllers. This is your answer to those issues. My only negative mentions would be the back button positioning. I find that the bottom most back button especially is in such an awkward location that I have had to just not have it mapped to anything because I would press it on accident by merely gripping the controller. If they don't change the positioning with the next iteration, at least give the option to lock out the back buttons completely so as to not have this mistake occur. Secondly, when the controller is plugged in and charging, the lighting will pulse for a couple moments, but then it will go out completely. So you really don't have any indication of it still charging or when it is completely charged. Having the lighting affect continue to pulse at it's charging and then go solid when fully charged seems to be such a simple thing that could have offered. Maybe this can be a thing added through firmware or something. All in all, minor things that in no way alter the great experience! We finally can tell Microsoft where to go with their terrible controllers that have stick drift out of the box!! Thank you Razer!!

Very pricey but excellent controller — the peace of mind of having hall effect joy sticks is worth the price as I had to replace my elite series 2 which developed stick drift after 6 months of use. I don’t think I will need to replace this controller for a long time. It’s accurate, and the response time is fast as heck. Others have complained about dead zone issues but hardly noticeable for me after making adjustments on the app as I believe updates have been made. Love the button placement and clickiness of the bumpers. Noticeably lighter than the elite series 2 controller so fatigue won’t be an issue. Even though lighter, the controller has a very premium feel on par with any high end controller on the market. Can’t say I regret the purchase. Only thing I wish is that the case came with a pass through charger like the elite series 2 but not a huge downside for me.

The Razer Wolverine V3 Pro controller is now my favorite controller. I have been using it for over a week on my gaming laptop and it is smooth as butter. The controller comes with a high quality case, a braided USB type C cable, replacement joystick pads, and a USB dongle. All of these items fit nicely in the case. You can choose to connect the controller with the braided cable or via the USB dongle. There is zero lag when it comes to connectivity. I assume this experience cannot be achieved via Bluetooth as that is not a method of connectivity. The buttons on this Razer controller feel awesome! Especially the 4 main buttons. They have a nice click to them that are unlike any controller i have used before. The shoulder buttons feel great in the hands with great snap and pressure. The thumb sticks have the perfect amount of movement and stiffness. There are also hot keys by the lower grips which can be programed and mapped. I have not used this feature yet. I have been using this controller with zero issues so far. It feels great in the hands and performs exceptionally well. The logo lights up, and everything on this controller feels pro.

The Good: Great build quality. Hall effect sticks are awesome. The Medium: Swappable thumbsticks are great, but there's no way to order replacements. Software configuration is simultaneously convoluted and over-simplified...it's not a great experience. The Ugly: Battery life is horrid. 3-4 hours max in most cases. I expected better from a device at this price point.

Good heft and feel. The triggers have a nice feel and the buttons are standard. The claw grip paddles are well placed. Unfortunately, I lose wifi connection often and have had to go wired to play. Battery life seems good, but when it goes, once again the connection is the first thing to go. There is some stick wonkiness. Out of nowhere, my character will start spinning around and I have to reset the console to stop it. Compared to the elite 2 controller, the Razer comes up short

Razer jas a track record of less than stellar quality control and software... And sadly the Wolverine Pro V3 is no different. The look and feel is an amazing alternative to the Xbox style controller with rounded edges vs the sharper edges of the traditional Xbox controller. It's not as substantial as the Elite series 2 as far as look and feel, but it is by no means cheap. The hall effects sticks are smooth and precise, but in my case one of the Wolverines I had felt like something was grinding in the left stick. The face buttons, back paddles offer fast actuating mouse style switches, but on both of the controllers I had one or more of these buttons felt loose, which lead to some clicks not registering. Both the Xbox/Windows Razer controller app are finnicky and caused a few issues with customizations and general usage. From the random disconnect to the controller acting erratically on occasion. I would love to recommend the controller, but it's QC issues make it hard too.

This Controller is Legit, the best for Xbox and PC

Where to start with this amazing controller. I wasn’t sure how good this controller would be when I first decided to get it, but spoiler alert, it’s really good. If you want fully customizable buttons, extra back buttons to program, lockable triggers, precise accurate thumb sticks, super-fast control response time (1000hz polling rate wired on PC, 250hz for Xbox) solid button feel, and excellent build quality, then just get this controller. Build Quality: Okay, so generally all pro level controllers are supposed to have a good build to them, and the Wolverine Pro V3 is NO exception. The controller with all of its features is not much heavier than a standard XBOX controller ( xx oz. vs xx oz ) and even with that the controller feels super solid in your hands with precise and satisfying clickable XYAB buttons. In fact, all of the buttons on this controller have a nice satisfying click to them and feel built to last. Another thing to note is I feel as if this controller is molded to fit in your hand in a way that most controllers do not. Since this can be subjective, I ask a few other people to tell me how it felt in their hands, and they also confirmed it feels super comfortable to them. Customization: Using downloadable SOFTWARE (Razer Controller Setup for XBOX) which is available for both XBOX console and PC’s is where you are going to head when you want to make any changes to how the controller operates. In the software you can reassign buttons and create multiple profiles to make it easier to switch between layouts and settings as needed. You can choose to assign the back paddle buttons or just one of them. You can even change the button designations if you wish to do so. Theres also the ability to adjust the dead zone of the controller thumb sticks. This will allow you to get super tight response from those sticks or create a more relaxed response if needed. You can also calibrate the sticks if you ever have an issue. Theres a lighting section which allows you to change the colors of the RAZER wording on the front of the controller. You can select steady or Spectrum Cycling or OFF. I usually leave it on steady and match the colors to my PC or ambient room lighting. Lastly you can adjust the Haptic Strength and Power Saving settings for the controller. I honestly enjoy the ability to set up the controller pretty much however I choose to and give them 5 Stars in this area. Gameplay: So onto the most important aspect of the controller. Using this controller over the last couple of weeks I can honestly say it’s the best controller I have ever used, and it will be very hard to go back to a standard Xbox controller if I ever needed to. The response time in games like COD is on point. As fast as your setup allows, this controller will complete the control side of things. My favorite feature and now hard to live without is the “lockable triggers”. On the back you can slide over 2 switches which will lock either your right or left triggers. I choose to lock both, and this means that I no longer must press the trigger all the way down when I am aiming down sight and then shooting. I find this can be the deciding factor when you and an opponent are face to face. Almost like an old western who can draw and shoot the fastest at the same time, I believe this is where this feature can give you an upper hand, and whether you make it or not. Theres also an option if you plug in the controller to a PC and hit a combination of buttons for a shortcut, you can set the controller to PC Mode which will give you 1000Hz Polling Rates which basically means you have the least possible lag that can exist while using this controller. I normally play with this mode active as I need 1ms response time from basically everything on my setup. Just to reiterate, this only works when you play plugged in with a USB cable. This controller is also touted for its implementation of Hall Effect thumb sticks. I will say when I first got the controller I felt a difference in the response, almost like they were not as smooth responding. Again, this is how I felt but as I have been playing, I think I have gotten used to them. I believe that there is still a noticeable difference just in the feel of using hall effect sticks vs conventional PCB slider modules. I still think I prefer PCB thumb sticks, but I understand why the Hall Effect sticks have a place. They ultimately should stand up to heavy gaming much longer than the latter, and some may prefer them. Speaking of thumb sticks, in the case that the controller comes in, they provide you with 2 other thumb sticks which you can change based on preference. Just a firm pull of the thumb stick cap, and you can swap one or both provided caps. I keep the standard caps on as I feel like they are just fine for my taste. The controller also comes with a nice long USB Cable in the provided case and foam circular thumb stick protectors that you can use if you wish when the controller is in the case, and you are traveling. The case is a nice soft material with a nice hard shell and a decent zipper. All in all, this controller has been and continues to leave a positive impression on me. Final Thoughts: If you are looking for a good competitive controller that offers full customization and solid build quality with Hall Effect thumb sticks, then I suggest you give this controller a shot. Just be sure to use it for about two weeks before you make up your mind, as when I first started to use it, I wasn’t used to the buttons and control of the thumb sticks. I had to use this controller for about 2 weeks solidly to say that I honestly wouldn’t want to play with any other controller.

I've just received mine in the mail yesterday and here's my opinion. 1. Build Quality- Excellent. this controller has a great build. it's not as heavy as some other controllers (Like the Xbox Elite Series 2 ) but it's also not as light as your standard Xbox controller either. it's the middle ground of perfect. the materials on this controller are hard plastic. very similar to your standardize Xbox controller but...more premium? (if that makes any sense at all.) it is Bluetooth but with a USB Dongle. Now I know for most people that could be annoy Literally all the buttons are clicky.(Exclude the joysticks and the main triggers) but the A, B, X & Y are a completely new experience, and may I dare say a really good one. even the Xbox logo itself is clicky and instant. and this controller introduces a new hover-like D-Pad, I myself have come to like it a lot (To turn the controller on you have to press & hold the Xbox logo for 3 seconds) 2. Triggers- The triggers on the New Razer Wolverine V3 Pro Wireless are overall fairly great, now if you're looking for something on the "Scuf Instant Trigger level" Unfortunately these do not provide you with that Ultra Instant trigger pull experience, but it does come really close, closer than most on the market. so, although it is pretty high on the price range it's not nearly as high as the Scuf coming to a whopping $230.00 3. Connectivity- The connectivity on the New Razer Wolverine V3 Pro Wireless has a good solid connection despite what others say, and for my copy it was a really simple connect to my Xbox, 4. Button Mapping- The Button Mapping feature on this controller is fantastic! you have the options to do manually "On The Fly" and or on the Razer app that's either on your phone, PC, or Xbox. there are a total of 6 remappable buttons on the controller. 4 behind the controller, (I personally use them in place of the D-Pad) and 2 on top of the controller. I use one of them (Top right) as the "X" for FPS games, so I don't have to let go of the joysticks Conclusion- The Razer Wolverine V3 Pro Wireless is overall a great and perfect controller for any hardcore competitive gamer out there who likes the luxury of having their thumbs free of any distractions (such as lifting you thumb off the right joystick to hit the "X-button" to reload mid fight, instead of keeping your crosshairs on the enemy or looking for a way out of that sticky situation) this controller (with time) will give you a one up on thinking without lifting your thumbs off the joysticks. Thank you for reading my opinions on this controller as a Gamer myself I am constantly playing "The Finals, Battlefield, Call of Duty and "Overwatch"

I primarily use this controller with Xbox. The buttons feel great, the responsiveness is great. Where the controller falls short is updates. The Razer app on Xbox will tell you there is an update but you will need to connect to a pc to update the controller. After updating the controller I get a random stick drift, for example, I’ll move the joystick aboout 20% to the left and it suddenly registers 100% to the left and won’t stop until i wiggle the joystick. I have checked for new updates and everytime I connect my controller it says it needs an update, then update successful. Then recheck and it says it needs an update and this will happen over and over, Now I’m waiting for another update to fix this.

So I was taught that if you had nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. I stopped typing and went back to the controller and tried using it with a few other games other than usual first person shooter. Yeah, I still don't like it that much. My situation is that this thing is too small. Smaller than a standard controller. Why would they (Razer) make it smaller? Button feel okay but I just can't get over the size of this thing. About ten minutes into holding it in my hand my fingers started to hurt and it became a task to keep playing anything with it. If Razer makes a larger version I would definitely buy it. Right now I would not recommend picking this up unless you have small hands. Left stick drifts and the right one gets stuck every now and then which didn't add anything positive to my experience. No surprise there at this point. This is a nice swing but a miss non the less. A firmware update might help the drifting issue but I don't see ho that will fix the stickiness of the other stick. Hopefully others have better luck with the units they received.

    Wireless controller without the lag

The Razer V3 is a beautifully well packaged and designed controller that allows you to break free from the wired chains that bind you all without sacrificing responsiveness. The high speed USB dongle and hall effect controls make this a fast re-action controller with little to no input lag. If your looking to gain the extra edge in competitive gaming then look no further. The Razer V3 comes out of the box with everything you need to get you started including a carrying case and two interchangeable pads for the stick controls. Connection can be done both through a usb-c wire and through the wireless USB drive. Through the free downloadable app you can map just about every single component on the controller. Both left and right trigger pads come with lockouts so you can change the trigger pull giving you the competitive edge for FPS. The center Razer logo also lights up and has changeable RGB lighting. Wireless power yielded about roughly 12 hours of game time, which is on the weak side in my opinion. So let's get in to the meat of the reason why your choosing to buy this and that is the responsiveness of your input and ability to map out different buttons. The biggest issue I have always had with wireless controllers is the interference I get from other wireless signals which almost always results in drop outs or major input lag resulting in losses for me. That is not the case here, the high speed wireless dongle insures a sound and very fast connection resulting in a roughly 1ms input time. The trigger paddle placements are so well placed that my M5 and M3 paddles require a slight twitch from my fingers in order to activate them. Never once did I accidentally trigger them but when prompted, slight contact insured fast action from whatever command was set . I do like having the extra m1 and m2 buttons next to my LB and RB pads as this gives me more space to map my utility commands for games like Cod or counter strike. The hepatic feature also can be adjusted through app limiting the amount of intensity or vibration you wish to feel. All in all this is a great gaming controller to have and while by all appearances it seems this is a standard gaming controller where this unit really shined for me was its wireless feed. I was very impressed with the responsiveness I got from my input commands when in wireless mode. Ya the hall effect sensors help add to that but honestly I didn't really notice that big of a difference other than the fact that I had little to no lag. Given the price point this unit comes in at I think this is a very fair trade off for everything your getting with this controller

Great placement of macro buttons, lots of customization options. You can adjust the macro buttons on the fly. There is some quality control issues with some having stick drift out of the box. I lucked out. This controller is replacing my wolverine V2 chroma. The bottom button placement is much better in comparison. This controller is expensive expensive, but it is cheaper than a scuf and a scuf will only last you a few months until it has drift.

Ive owned Xbox elite controllers for years now. Simce the original elite comtroller. Ive always had live for them. And one of my favorite features being the orientation and placement of the rear programmable buttons. My only dissapointment wjth these controllers is everyone ive owned does last more then a year to a year and a half before at least one of the buttons begin malfunctioning. I would always replace with warrenty but would continue to have issues with the same problem. Buttons not working somehow some way. This wolverine comtroller i dont forsee this being an issue due to the mouse click short travel of 90% of the buttons. It also feels better in the hands by far. The only frason i even tried this remote is because the placement of the rear mappable buttons. THIS IS TOP TIER. I have yet to have any issues with remote and the battery life is amazing. 10/10 id buy this again. I do wish they offered different colors to make it more exciting.

The Razer Wolverine V3 Pro Xbox controller has exceeded my expectations! The controller is packaged nicely and the storage case is a nice touch! Its compatible with my Xbox Series X (and S) and also my PC, Although admittedly I didn’t use it that much on my PC, I just tested for compatibility. One of the first things I noticed was how well it fits in my hands. The build quality is impressive, giving it a premium feel that stands out from other controllers I’ve used. It feels sturdy and durable, which is a big plus for any gamer. There are plenty of buttons and they are customizable! This allows you to map the buttons to suit your play style and preferences. Each button feels premium in its travel and overall feel. I don’t foresee any problems with this holding up to some intense button mashing sessions that I frequently have. The wireless connection has been stable, and I have tested with walking away to my other rooms, which are about 30 feet away and had no issues with connectivity.

This is a great controller especially because of the hall effect sticks that is in them making this controller immune to stick drift. But I am not a fan of the xbox layout of the controller. I gave it a try coming from the dual sense edge for my PC but decided to return. Also you are able to switch to “Competitive Mode” which lets you get to 1000 hz in the controller so that you can get an advantage. But when you do that, the controller does cut out for a split second and is a bit of a hassle to get back on. Overall though I think the controller is great in value and if you love the xbox layout then this controller definitely is something you should consider.

It's everything i like in a controller and definitely the best ive had. The feel is just perfect and it goes with my razer setup. The sticks are so smooth and precise and customizable. The tactile feel and precision of the buttons and triggers are the best and satisfying to press everytime. The only reason it didnt get 5 stars is bc the back paddles are only able to be reprogrammed to buttons alreadt on the controller and not other keyboard functions. Thankfully steam is still so grear at allowing multiple assignments to single buttons.

Very well made controller with all needed accessories. The mouse click-buttons are surprisingly EXTREMELY nice and tactile! Going from an elite series 2 this is a night and day difference and I can never go back to my elite 2 after using this amazing controller. Hall effect sticks are nice and accurate (make sure to firmware update it to latest with a computer) and the including replacement stick caps are the exact kind I prefer for my sticks (a short domed for the left and a tall concave for the right). If you’re in the fence about getting this controller and maybe have concerns about its shape and feel like I did then I’d say go for it! As with anything new and different it takes some time to get used to and once you do it’s phenomenal.

I was on the fence about spending this much on a controller, but I’ve never been disappointed by Razer’s quality. And I still haven’t been. This controller is superb. The Hall effect sticks, mouse-like buttons and overall build quality have left me with zero regrets on the purchase. Updating the firmware and customization are easy both on PC or through Razer’s Xbox app, and thus far, the only minor inconvenience is the need to open the app to view the controller’s battery life (which to be completely fair isn’t that big of a deal). If you’re on the fence like I was and you’re looking for a premium controller, this is the one.

So far this controller seems great! It’s very well made and the mouse click buttons are a nice touch. It’s not the most comfortable controller I’ve used but it’s not the most uncomfortable either. In the past, I’ve only bought Microsoft controllers and had nothing but issues with them. I’ve bought several elites and have had to send them off for repair many times only to come back with more issues. I think I have finally found my alternative to Microsoft. I’m happy to say I never have to buy another Microsoft controller again. Microsoft, because of your terrible controllers and incompetent repair center. You have lost a customer for life.
