Customers highly value the 25425RE1 Corded Expandable Phone System with Digital Answering System, but some have expressed concerns about its limited functionality. While customers appreciate its ease of use and call quality, they find the single-line feature restrictive as it only allows for one line to be used at a time.

The phone units are great but we needed a technician to come to install them so it can be synchronized with our existing unit.

The four new telephones which we received exceed our expectations compared to our old telephones. The programming is easy too.

Its exactly what you expect for the money. Call clarity and features are just fine. We beat up this phone and its wired counterparts 14hrs daily, even have a portable unit with "line2" designated. You NEED 4 separate lines to make it function correctly. When using remote handset on line 2, it will only let handset communicate thru that line via THAT BASE. And it will show, line in use or busy. Which is clearly stated in the instructions. What is slightly obnoxious you cant designate area codes for each line. Its something that wouldnt be an issue for most businesses, but we have one out of state line.

The phone itself is very nice, but hard to program everything for use.
Lot of features. Would really appreciate easier instructions for setting things up.

Good sound quality, DECT system is excellent. I tried to make a call while line 1 in use, message says" base in use", won't allow a second line to be used. Base ID is 1, extension ID is 1, there is no way to change the extension ID Why have 4 lines if only one person at a time can use the phone? I called RCA and they verify that extension can only be used like a house extension, you have to buy 2 or 3 base phones to use all lines. Makes no sense. I am returning this and buying AT&T or Panasonic system.

You can only use one line at a time. We tried one base unit and remote-it doesn't make a difference. Hooked up to base units, trying to use one remote-still said "base unit in use". Sucky phone-don't waste your money.
