Pros:
-Very simplistic, very lenient learning curve
-Build quality
-very strong and clean preamps
-XLR connections can also be used for instruments
-You can store up to 24 sound effects (gimmicky, but fun)
-You can now use the sound effects pads to be a MIDI controller
-The clean preamps and onboard sound processing is stellar
Cons:
-New firmware is great but still no dedicated EQ
-There is a way to 'EQ' your audio through this unit but it's tied to the Aphex Exciter (which can be a challenge to set properly) & Bottom settings (which can sometimes add too much bass)
-EXPENSIVE. Very expensive. I
-There are things that the GoXLR can do that this can't do, and that's do onboard EQ. Why there is still no dedicated EQ for the RODECaster Pro at this price is mind boggling
Overall Thoughts: If you can stomach the price to own one of these things, it makes your existing XLR peripherals sound even better. There is a 'novice' mode so that you won't have to be an audio engineer to perfect your voice, but tinkering with the settings in advance mode would make this tool even more useful. The price is still something that is hard to stomach but once you own it, it's very hard to return it or wonder why you never bought one in the first place

This had made recording my podcast so much easier. I cohost the comedy podcast, We Family Son!! And this how reduced editing and uploading times exponentially. Sound quality is very good. And very easy to use. Everything is done on the RODECaster Pro. From intro and outro being saved to the soundboard. To adding new sounds in general. Using your phone to play audio or recording phone calls adds a lot of content for podcasts. Also allows for guest features. Allows up to 4 mics and headphones. Very compact and easy to transport. Has helped in the production to allow us to focus on promotion more. Transfers to your computer in mp3 format which makes it easy to upload to SoundCloud, which is what We use, and other base sites as well. Go follow us @ We Family Son!! On all platforms and Instagram to get a preview of the sound and features...and also if you love to laugh.

I use this for handling microphone inputs for training sessions and meetings in our company green room. We use in conjunction with OBS and having everything run through one board is so much easier. Slides are smooth, and the separate headphone outputs are a plus, and connecting to a phone via Bluetooth is very easy. Built in filters on microphones and the sound pads add a little something extra to the sessions with sound effects. Very happy with the purchase.

This audio interface is the best ever!!! Simple to set, simple to use, and super sophisticated with great features. My wife and I started our podcast in July, and we made the best decision. The price might be “expensive,” but it is worth every penny.

Love My Rodecaster Pro for Online Radio

I splurged on this when I decided to start an online radio show in 2021 - and I'm glad I did. I absolutely love this thing. I plug the power supply in, plug my mic in via XLR cable, and make sure the Rodecaster is connected to my PC - and I'm ready to record. You can customize the sound pad through the Rodecaster app you download from Rode's website. The Bluetooth feature is great, the mixer sliders work well, and the interface is easy to use.
My biggest issue with the Rodecaster is the SD compartment. It doesn't want to accept my SD card - despite Rode's website listing that type of SD card as compatible. I can easily buy a new card to see if that would work, but I wasted money on the ones I already have. This also means I have to keep the Rodecaster connected to a computer in order to record instead of being able to record directly to an SD card.
I love my Rodecaster, but wish the SD card reader was better.

My new RODECasterPro system works great and it easily integrated through my ATEM Mini.
Easy to learn, so many features, easy to set up.
I use it on every video conference call, remote learning session, and during times when I just want to play and test other new things out.

I decided to sell my old mixer - frustrated by the limitations of recording my podcast interviews over the phone. The RodeCaster Pro makes it easy.
Phone integration was the main reason I made this purchase but after living with the Rode for several weeks. I love the simplicity and the features (jingle pads) that make this tool fun.

I love my Rodecaster Pro. I’ve only had it a few months, but am using it for 6 - 12 hours almost every day. Using it for commercial live, and pre-recorded broadcasting. I use most of its features, several mics, mix-minus phone calls, touch pads and more. So far it has exceeded my expectations. Love it.

Amazing all-in-one podcasting solution with APHEX!

I've been using the Rode Rodecaster Pro for the past few months. This is truly a revolutionary all-in-one podcasting solution device. I'm using 2 of the Rode PodMics for recording onto the Rodecaster. With all the various audio effects enabled, especially the APHEX Aural Exciter and Big Bottom, the Rodecaster makes my voice sound like Superman with a impressive radio broadcast voice. When the effects are turned off, I sound like just any other ordinary mortal with a microphone, it really is that noticeable of an improvement! The Rodecaster is very well built and designed. The LCD screen menu is easy to use and navigate, and there is so much extra functionality and customization built into the Rodecaster after you download the free firmware update. What I also like in particular are the built-in easy to use remote connection inputs to bring on a remote guest via a smartphone or USB connection. With the current pandemic and social distancing mandate, nobody is doing live in-person interviews, hence the ability to do remote guest interview recording is extremely useful. The built-in mix-minus functionality to eliminate the unwanted echo/reverb from doing remote call connection is a huge advantage. Plus the Rodecaster has built-in Bluetooth wireless remote connection to easily pair with your smartphone, simply press the Bluetooth button for wireless calling! This is a great deal if you consider that the upcoming new Zoom PodTrak P8 podcasting device costs an extra $49 for their optional Bluetooth adapter to add wireless calling. Make sure to purchase the optional $30 Rode SC9 TRRS 3.5mm AUX cable if you plan on doing remote smartphone calling with the Rodecaster. If you want to use the Rodecaster on-location you will also need to purchase the optional $20 Rode DC-USB1 DC to USB Power Cable, along with a sufficiently powerful external battery pack. If anyone is interested in hearing the audio comparison with the Rodecaster audio effects and APHEX turned on and off for a test comparison, check out my YouTube video I created. You can advance to the 23:31 time line to go directly to the audio comparison, otherwise watch the whole video for more details, link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eddrSZvthxc&t=138s&fbclid=IwAR1bpa4VfL0WulRVRDN8lwNVnN7Bg58oRLCU8WkZMfw5g6in53Mi_UPejNA

Whatever your audio need is; podcasting, voiceover, narrating, whatever this is the perfect device to use. So much is in this board that the sum of its parts is really more than what you are spending. Without getting technical, it's simple to use even for beginners but perfect for experts who are picky about their audio and needs. It's easy to transport and perfect for taking on the road or to other places to record. Firmware updates have greatly improved the product. My only complain and this is very minimal and may only be something I and a few deal with is the rubber pads on the bottom four corners. One is thinner then the others so it is not stable, aka rocks when I push items on the board. It's an annoyance but minimal because all I needed to do was put a papersized cardboard piece under the one corner to make it stable. Not worth sending back over that but wanted to point it out.

Great product. I have had numerous Microphone interfaces in the past and this is by far the most intuitive and robust for a small studio setup. I run 2 mics along with PC audio and a separate input for discord. Does not need software to operate with is the biggest plus for me. and can even be used as a stand alone recorder with no computer. I would recommend this to anyone looking to stream, podcast, or even just record with the need for multiple inputs.

This thing is superb. Unbelievable sound. Tons of options to get that broadcast sound. Highly recommend for anyone even thinking about livestraming or podcasting. So glad I decided to get this. Coupled with the rode pod mic this is hard to beat. Is a audio interface as well. You can connect your phone to this for phone call ins via a trrs cable or Bluetooth. Micro SD card slot for recording audio. For those audiophiles out there, one switch of a button and each input can be save as a multi track file for individual input audio editing later.
Rugged, sturdy and a great feel. I have one dynamic and one condenser mic connected and they both sound fantastic. Tons of effects for all types of voices.
There's 16 available sound pads to store your intro and outro clips and any other effect you want. 4 headphone jacks for each mic input along with jacks for monitor out. Front facing 3.5 mm headphone jack included as well.

So I had a podcast a couple of years ago interviewing people remotely. It was challenging to record, edit, add all my sounds and intros into the podcast in less than 3-4 hours of editing. This device solves this! I have cut down edit time by at least 90% with this little gem. I purchased the Rode PodMic to go with it from another website - there is seamless integration and it allows for advanced voice tuning right on the RodeCaster making my voice sound like butter. 100% Awesome!

I purchased this because I was interested in starting a podcast and I wanted the best - I did my research in advance and I landed on the Rodecaster Pro. I knew that I wanted a product that would 1) last, this has excellent build quality and an excellent host of features, 2) I also didn’t want to have to “upgrade” any time soon. This is definitely an investment if you are thinking about podcasting seriously or anything you may do in the virtual, radio or deejay space etc.
