I bought this when I needed a smaller microphone to carry around when recording videos outdoors. I'm happy with the results, especially with the wind filter. Its made it easier to edit the audio on the videos from my Canon T6i. I recommed it if you record in places with a lot of background noises.

This mic is incredible...at only $50 it beats out some of the more expensive mics in my opinion. Crystal clear sound and picks up from quite a distance!

I use this over my Rode Video Mic because of its size: I can just put in any of my camera bags with no issue. It's a perfect mic for vlogging because of it's size and the fact it doesn't require batteries. It won't get you the sound quality and features of a more expensive mic but it is miles beyond the in camera mic.

Would recommend for vloggers, which I’m not, more so than podcasters, which I’m trying to be (@lifesriddlespodcast - Spotify, YouTube, Facebook). Seems to make a decent shotgun mic for just being above the subject and out of frame, if you have a stand to get it there. But I didn’t need it for that purpose. It’s highly recommended by many of the top YouTube experts. If you’re using an iPhone, DO NOT forget to buy the correct adapter. It doesn’t come with the correct one and you’ll never figure it out without diving deeper into YouTube videos about this product. It comes with a trs cable. But you need TRRS for the lighting adapter piece that is an extra cost in order for it to work.

The quality of the microphone is great, The sound is great. The wobbly red shock mount not so much, it moves around too much if you are walking around. It pairs perfectly with a gopro mod case

Very good mic. Sound quality for price is next level for sure. For vlogging, I would use the Rode that has a mic on both ends so you can record your subject and talk to the back of the mic and not have it pointing at your video subject.

I don’t have much experience with mics but I notice an improvement in sound quality and it was affordable.

For such a small and inexpensive boom mic, it works more than well enough. I've gotten impressive clarity and range out of it, but the directionality is far from perfect and plenty of background noise will still get through.

The sound quality on the mic is very good, especially for voice. The price is also very reasonable for the quality. The reason for 4 stars is the cable adapter that comes with it. It’s essentially useless. In order to use this with my iPhone, MacBook, or Canon Rebel camera, I needed to purchase a TRS to TRRS cable separately (another $15-$20 part) to get any audio recognition. It’d be helpful if the necessary cable was just standard issue. Other than that I’m quite happy with this purchase and would recommend the mic.

Major upgrade to the built-in microphone on my Sony Handy-Cam. Used this to support live streaming of a high-school graduation and the sound quality was excellent! Seems well constructed

Great mic for the size. Small and compact easily fits in my bag. No obstruction of the lense either with the wind protector on.

Awesome mic to attach to smartphone or dslr on the go. It has a wind guard, good extension to cable (windy style stretches easy) and sound quality is noticably improved compared to not using a mic when testing both with and without, with video recording on a Canon Rebel DSLR and for Video and Audio Notes on an iPhone Pro. Mount works for DSLR shoe, but not mountable on smartphone, a clip included to make this possible would be a useful update for future models. You pay top end dollar for Rode products.

I've used this at a stadium-sized graduation and was able to pick up the speakers speech really easily. Also, at a stage performance, it did a great job of focusing on the actors' dialog.

this video mic is perfect for what it's needed for crystal clear vocals. So if your looking to get better audio then the one coming from the camera this is a good option.

Great for small rig vlogging camera i use it with my phone and it does it job but definitely recommend going for a bigger firm stand mic the one for this one broke 2 times and makes your mic move to much

I use this for my go pro and it is definitely clearer. I have an extra housing case to attract a light on the side as well. Captures audio clearly!

Great audio for my videos taken on cellphone! Pairs awesome with my Samsung S22Ultra! I will for sure add some videos when I get a chance.

Not the best sounding mic out there but it does a great job for its price point. The added benefit of not battery is excellent in my opinion and makes this an easy shotgun mic to work with. Picks up sound really well but can get a bit overdone when things get too loud.

This mic is amazing! Has great rang and muffles aot of the unnecessary noise. Definitely recommend picking one up if you are recording with a camera.

Great quality for the price of the mic! If you need something better than your in body camera without spending hundreds of dollars in a mic, this is the one for you!
