This is one of the greatest horror movies of it's era, and quite possibly of all time! A definite must see for horror movie fans! This is a geniusly made movie. Based on an H.P. Lovecraft tale, directed by Stuart Gordon, and starring Jeffrey Combs, you can't go wrong! This is one of the movies that started the splatter film era of the '80s and early '90s, and is still respected by horror movie lovers across the globe. My wife and I loved it! We also liked the other two sequels that are very good (not as good as this one of course,) but still worth adding to your collection. The other two are directed by Brian Yuzna, the producer of the first one, and star Jeffrey Combs as the great Dr. West. They follow the same story line and pick up right where this one left off. I recommend buying all three, but if you don't have the funds, this one is a definite! Buy it, watch it, enjoy it!!!
