With such a large open world to play in, Rockstar gives players the option to play through the single player missions quickly or amble through at your leisure all the while encountering random world events, hunting wildlife, searching for treasure, or bringing in wanted bandits. The game also includes many great mini-games such as poker, blackjack, horseshoes, liars dice and many others. Add to all of the rich single player game play the full online multi-player for up to 16 people and the game expands into another full game.

when i went to pick up a PSN money i had some money left over and i want to pre order a game and asked an employee what was coming out and was told about this game.In my opinion this has a great story line and graphics,and you can hunt and kill animals and sell the parts,do good or bad things and go anywhere this is like a western version of GTA and im a big fan of GTA so this is a must also its made by Rockstar which hasn't let me down yet, I reccomend this if you like plaing games that let you do what ever you want

I was kinda worried about getting this game because I love the GTA games so much that I thought I was gonna be disappointed but I was not. The target lock on is not the same but you get used to it easily. Excellent story and the graphics are phenomenal. :D

play as a battle-hardened former outlaw. take a tour of an expansive beautifully rendered old west style world. deserts, rivers, rocky canyons. wildlife all around. watch out for the wolves that hunt in packs. and the silent and deadly cougars. full out galloping accross the grassy plains is enjoyable, and adventure awaits along the way. help strangers from being: attacked by animals, robbed, lynched, etc... but always be ready in case its a trap. or forget all that and be an outlaw and take out the robbers and then the helpless victims as well. play it your way. there is no radio, but there are a few songs at certain points in the game. a guy playing the piano in the saloons. the classic old west type of theme music as you near certain situations. in short it is a great game. would have been nice to have explored the friendly women of the west but you cant't have it all. the way gunplay is handled is superb, the enemy takes cover smartly and so should you. a well placed shot sends the target spinning in the appropriate direction. a deer at full stride gets a well placed shot and down it goes, skidding to a stop in a couple of yards. lasso a wild horse and make it your own. the game is just superb. hard to stick to the missions for me. and I always love that.

For all Grand Theft Auto Fans, you must have this game . . . Awesome Game. The Graphics are stunning, the size of the Map is huge. This is a leap forward to open world games! Have Fun : )

I liken it to GTA meets Fallout 3 in the desert. Great story, lots of side missions and challenges. Under multiplayer you can choose a public free for all or go private and kill the bad guys on your own or just with selected friends. If you like hunting, lots of critters to bag, but many times the hunter will become the hunted! Just a great game to give you a taste of the old west.

I love Westerns, which definitely puts me out of the mainstream of most 20-somethings. I loved Tombstone, the Sergio Leone spaghetti westerns, The Professionals, Appaloosa, The Searchers, Rio Bravo, Unforgiven, all of it. Put it together into a video game and you have Red Dead Redemption. I loved this game, on-line play is pretty fun. Side missions are pretty fun. This game is great. A Must Buy!

I really liked this game. It had a great story plot and it wasn't too difficult to play. The graphics were great and it was very fun. The only part I didnt like was that the multiplayer was a little hard. Other than that it was a great game and I'd reccomend it to anyone.

I was afraid that this game would not live up to the hype, but fear not buckaroos. The game is everything that it's cracked up to be. There is no shortage of content here. Set in the wild west, you can hunt a variety of wildlife from armadillos to cougars. Along your travels you can help strangers, catch bandits to collect bounties, hunt for burried treasure, play poker, blackjack, horse shoes, liers dice, arm wrestle and more. Then there's the missions. Each mission is unique and challangeing and along the way you'll find plenty of side missions. I have not completed the game yet and am already hoping for a sequel. This IS my new favorite game. YEE HAW!

Great story, great combat, great fun. Not a lot of western games get it right, this one does. A must have.

This game has that western feeling to it without feeling too overdone! I really enjoyed the story and how you can do main and side missions along with hunting. This game will keep you entertained for months on end as this is a very long game. I highly reccomend

I have to say this game is great! The story line and progression of the game moves well to fast at times. Get a copy when you can! The only down fall if you can call it a down fall is having to ride the horse to every location in the game can get boring at times. You can take the stage coach but 5 bucks each time you will run out of cash. Over all a A++ for this one. Good job Rock Star!!!

I was really looking forward to this game. I had gotten tired of crack speed action of CODMW2. I needed a break from it. I love westerns. Its basically GTA in western theme. The scenery and characters are really well done and I love how they talk throughout the game. It was challenging to me to get the gun shooting down. There is western music playing throughout game play and makes it fun strolling around on the horse. My only knock is get slow and tiresome at times just riding your horse from town to town, it feels like a lot of wasted time and not near as fun as I remember cruising in the cars with music on GTA. I have only played multiplayer once and there was almost no one online. then we got up to 6 and i have to say it was fun. i enjoy the relaxing pace and theme but if your an action junky this game will not be enough for you.

This is the best game I've played yet. This 3rd person RPG is awesome. the movements of EVERYTHING is so realistic it sucks you in and makes you feel like your living in the wild wild west. Your character talks during gameplay the whole way through the game which you don't see too often. Rockstar has outdone themselves with this one and I'm totally hoping their working on a part 2. I just ordered L.A. NOIRE and am now anticipating being thrown into the Detective world. KEEP IT UP ROCKSTAR, YOUR THE BEST GAME DEVELOPERS OUT THERE! This is one game that is impossible not to enjoy!

The game makes you feel like your actually in western times. The story is great and their is tons of stuff to do. Not to mention the online is amazing. An open free roam in the western times with your posse is just truly amazing. This game rocks!!!!!!!!

This game is the best game i have ever played in my entire life. It is loads of fun and there are endless possibilities you can do. this is also the most realistic game ever when you get it you will see how every detail in real life is shown here in red dead.the only down side is that its a little bit repetitive in the missions but when your online the fun is doubled!! Rockstar has done it again.

Great graphics, gameplay, and sound is excellent. The game is highly recommended. it is challenging, a lot of things to do in the game. It will keep you very interested in playing it. The scenery in the game is fantastic, you can ride on a train, stage coach, horses. Have gunfights, rescue damsels in distress, so many things to do in this game. It willnever bore you. I very highly recommend it, and can't say enough about it.

this game has a good single player that will have you spending houres to finish. but for a word of warning this game can get boring once finished. other than that the game is great it has great graphics that are very realistic including the surrounding wildlife and style of the time periode. multiplayer is pretty basic you level up by points etc. but the multiplayer can can get boring (to me). the controls are good so they ar not a problem for me. the overall game play is great (not to be a spoiler but the ending is a bit open telling me that there probably be another game in the series) ather than the minor bugs the game is a good buy

Singleplayer: This game is awesome in its entirety on the singleplayer area. GTA fans may be let down a bit due to seemingly repetitive nature of the game and little variety but the setting being in the Old Americas alone makes up for it. Never seen a Western game quite like it. And true to Rockstar style, players may find themselves confused what to do at first. Heck!, hunting wild anilmals and picking flowers alone eats a lot of time. Multiplayer: This area is this game's Achilles. In short, this area is full of bugs and glitches. Character disappearing, steeds nowhere to be found, enemies and wild animals sucking your life out of nowhere (are they invisible really?), and worse, players getting stuck while doing crucial missions. Rockstar, you gotta do better than that. Expecting a quick fix on this. As a whole, the graphics and the environment are some of the most awesome around, mechanics doesn't hurt players who are into CoD and other shooting games, and sound and music are just superb. One thumbs up Rockstar/TakeTwo!

The storyline for the single player game was fantastic. The muliplayer game was great fun as well; many hours have been played together. The details wree amazing...great guns...great horses..if I say more I might give out details to the story and we wouldnt want that! The graphics are beautiful. Rockstar did a top job on this game. If there is one game you are going to get...this is that game! 6 of my friends have it and some more are going to get a PS3 and RDR. :-)
