When I first listened to this album I turned it off pretty quickly. When I listened to it again, I heard very unique beats and lyrical style. His skill is not diminished, it's just not as distinguishable.

"Recovery" is rated more highly by the fans and critics, but "Relapse" is a great album that is under-rated. I enjoy it every time I listen to it.

Love this CD. Two for the price of one. Some of my favorite songs are on this CD. If you like Marshall then you will agree on this CD

I have to say it was a smart move to re-issue this. Eminem may not have been ready to release Relapse at the time, and may have rushed it (5/19/09) I don't think "The Refill" would have been good by itself, considering it only has 7 tracks. Perhaps Eminem could have considered a digital album download versus making people buy another copy of relapse to get this CD. Other than that, here is a review of each song.
Forever: Obviously not originally an Eminem track, but it worked in the fact that he gave a tremendous amount of energy in his verse. The bar was set pretty high as far as quality of the songs on the album goes.
Hell Breaks Loose: Back with Dre again, this song has an incredible beat to it. The energy that both Eminem and Dr. Dre give to this song make it possibly one of the best on the disc.
Buffalo Bill: This song pays direct homage to the film "The Silence of the Lambs". I would consider it a sequal to either 3 AM, or Same song and Dance. Perhaps Buffalo Bill is a new alter ego that Eminem has created?
Eminem is a psychopathic maniac on this song.
Elevator: This song is something you might expect to find on "The Marshall Mathers LP" when you hear it. His insane lyrical skill on this song brings you back to the old days of Eminem.
Taking my Ball: When listening to it, one will wonder what the point of this song is. The verses on this song, are very similar to a freestyle. It has a vague feel similar to "The Slim Shady LP".There isn't a much better way to describe it.
Music Box: Again, this song has a similar lyrical style as "The Marshall Mathers LP". This song tells a story. You feel the effort behind Eminem's voice when listening to it.
Drop a Bomb on Em: Eminem uses a slightly Jamaican Accent to begin, but goes into lyrics and a style that might expected to be found on "The Slim Shady LP"
I Highly recommend this to any Eminem fan. As Eminem is qouted as saying. "This music will hold fans over 'till the release of Relapse 2 in 2010"

I love this album, with the exception of the track labelled "My Mom". I've heard too many tracks with Em complaining about his mom. Other than that, it's a GREAT album. I have practically listened to it exclusively since purchase (about 3 weeks ago) and I am still not getting tired of it.

Em brought it on the bonus disc and I had to support the man that's been giving us classic album by classic album.. Eventhough I was dissappointed about him re-releasing this instead of relapse 2 .. I still supported him and you should def. to. If you didn't get relapse, pick up this refill because you most certainly will be listening this 24/7.. all tracks are unbelievable .. thank you em
