Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the typing performance, overall performance, and design of the Mosaic weave Type Folio keyboard. Users find the typing experience enjoyable and appreciate how well the case and keyboard function. The design, which cleverly conceals the keyboard, is also a highlight for many. However, some users have expressed a desire for a brighter backlight, particularly when using the keyboard in low-light conditions.

    Sleek, Functional, but Pricey

I’ve been using the reMarkable Paper Pro's Mosaic Weave Type Folio Keyboard for a bit now, and overall, it’s a solid addition to the tablet. It attaches seamlessly with magnets, keeping a clean, low-profile look that doesn’t stick out. Typing on it feels good—the keys have decent feedback and just enough travel to be comfortable, kind of like a budget laptop. The backlighting is a nice touch, but I wish it was brighter, especially in dim lighting. Also, switching from writing with the pen to typing can be a little clunky at times. Not a deal breaker, but something to get used to. The biggest downside? The price—it’s way too expensive. It’s a handy upgrade but depends on whether you’re okay with the cost.

    A great functional notepad

This is a high-quality digital notepad. This is an electronic notepad focused purely on functionality and in this capacity, it excels. The writing feels realistic. I’ve included the optional keyboard, which is a great addition if you plan to write a lot. The software converts handwriting to text as well. Both text and handwriting are searchable. Expect regular software updates to further refine the usability and features. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

The case is very high quality and light. I almost forget these is a keyboard built in. Having the keyboard makes it feel more rigid as well.

I thought that I would use it more that I'm actually using. It may be because the tablet is too good to write with the pen.

The design is flawless and I love the way this keyboard feels. It’s a bit on the heavy side, but it does make transitioning my notes from tablet to CRM much faster. The integration is sleek and well thought out. That said, my major complaint with the keyboard is that you can’t type notes onto a PDF. You can only use a ReMarkable notebook to type notes. I use this tablet for work and customer meetings. I will typically create a word document w topics to discuss and screenshots of a customers order history then send it as a pdf to my tablet to write my discussion notes. The whole reason I bought it and the use case I need isn’t possible. Just know this coming into buying the type folio.

Poor design for seeing the keys at all

Its heavy but well made. It's expensive but works nicely with the paper pro. It's marketed as "backlit keyboard" but only partially backlit and certainly a poor design in terms of being able to see the keys. Dark keys and dark characters? really? You need light to see the right side of the keyboard. Doesn't work for me at all in the dark as "backlit keyboards" should. I'm a fan of the company. I have two of the Remarkable 2 units and they make a great product. I an severely let down by this expensive type folio based on the poor design for seeing the keys. Backlit means backlit to me and the light is there they decided for some reason not to allow it to go through certain keys and didn't paint the characters white or light enough to see them. The main letter keys are white characters and no backlight needed really but they did backlight the white characters. Really not very useful except it is a nice keyboard and NEEDS a well lit environment. I've included a remarkable 2 non backlit type folio. Not much difference was expecting more from Remarkable.

It is what you can get for a rpp. Nice key feel, backlite though not top keys row (numbers special key functions...too bad). Cost a lot but does the job, be it with a somewhat limited width on screen typing area on the rpp itself. If you need to type with a keyboard this is what you need.

This is a necessary and great case for the remarkable paper pro if you are planning on doing any typing on the device. It has a great design that hides the keyboard. The Remarkable pro hides the keys so you can choose to handwrite or switch to typing. Also, the keys do not rest against the screen when it is closed. The weight of the feels about the same as a regular case with a keyboard for a tablet.

Great for Focused Note-Taking, But Easy to Lose an

I’ve been using the reMarkable Pro for a few months now, and to be fair, it delivers exactly what it promises. The writing experience is incredibly smooth—about as close to paper as digital can get—and the distraction-free interface is a breath of fresh air in a world full of app notifications and digital noise. It’s perfect for focused writing, annotating PDFs, and organizing thoughts without falling down the email/social/media rabbit hole. Battery life is strong, syncing works well, and the cloud storage features are reliable. BUT—and this is a big one—there’s one glaring oversight: there is no way to find the device if you misplace it. No “Find My Device,” no Bluetooth proximity feature, no location tracking, not even a ping option if it’s somewhere nearby and powered on. Given how slim and portable the tablet is, it’s very easy to lose in a bag, couch, office shuffle, or even accidentally leave behind somewhere. And unfortunately, reMarkable seems to skip over this topic entirely on their site and product pages. In a world where almost every piece of tech—phones, laptops, earbuds—has some method of being found when lost, it’s disappointing that a $600+ device (plus subscription) has zero capability in this area. For a tool that’s meant to be a daily companion for notes, creative work, and critical thinking, losing it means losing a lot of value with no safety net. Overall: I still love what the reMarkable Pro does. But it’s worth knowing that if you misplace it, you’re kind of on your own. I’d strongly suggest they consider adding even a basic proximity or ping feature through Bluetooth in the future. For many of us, it could be the difference between peace of mind and a very expensive piece of paper that’s vanished into thin air.

Paper Pro is great for physically writing, but the type folio is fantastic for longer writing such as creative writing rather than note taking or editing with the stylus. Editing text is limited to only one font and ~3 font sizes. It does have bullet points but no tab otherwise for indentation.

The remarkable Paper Pro Mosaic weave Type Folio keyboard is a sleek and easy to use. I appreciate the functionality and thoughtfulness placed in the all in one design with having a folio to protect the tablet and a keyboard so that I have the option to write or type. I did not think I needed this until I got it. I highly recommend it!

I love the concept but I just can't get used to the flat keys and it makes it so I have too many typos it is too distracting for my use. It has a quality build but does add some weight to the product. I would recommend if you like flat keys.
