I like my water filtered. Older fridges required shutting off water, pulling out fridge to get to the back of the fridge, usually with plyers or wrench undoing nuts and filter, installing new filter (all this being done sitting on the floor and twisting and stretching). The electrolus filters just reach iniside the fridge and slide out old and push in new. done in less than a minute and clean water and air!!

This is a required piece of equipment for my frig.

Finding the filter is the first problem, and it is not inexpensive. Once I was able to slide the filter in place, I began the recommended flushing via the water dispenser. I was not prepared for the initial spurting of water all over as well as a bit of charcoal leakage. Once everything was up and running, it was working just fine. Now I need to find the air filter.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The filter works fine, but inside of a relatively short time, the speed of the water flow through it drops down to where it takes minutes to fill a glass of water. If the price were more reasonable, then it would not be a problem, but it seems pricey given how often you have to replace them. Unfortunately, I am not aware of any alternatives to using them.
