I purchased a home and the icemaker in the side by side wasn't working. I thought changing the filter was worth a shot. It was a very successful effort. Although this filter is a little pricey, the icemaker works perfectly and the small cost of the filter saved me the high cost of a refrigerator repair. It is still working well several months later.

We don’t use our refrigerator water a lot, but we love the filtered cold water. The original equipment replacement filter is the best. I tried the generic one and had to replace it less than 2 months later. I suggest you spend the extra money and get the original equipment replacement piece.

Easy to install and replace previous filter. While it's not poland spring quality, the water tastes clean and better than from the tap.

I always buy the original water filter for my GE fridge. It never fails in giving me clean and good tasting water. Best Buy has it available on stand. It lasts 6 months with a heavy use for a family of 3. $50.00 per 6 months. It is a good deal. I don't buy other than the original, even though, it is not cheap but for a healthier family, it is worthy.

Easy out with old. Easy in with new. Keeps water for ice crystal clear.

A snap to change. The right fit and the right part. Clean fresh water from the second glass - I flush it by throwing away the first glass.

I have been buying this same filter for my refrigerator for 11 years. It works well and have never had issues with it. I find it easy to install. I use to purchase it a big box supply store because I didn't know that Best Buy carried it. I will always purchase it from BB as they matched an extremely low price I found on the internet.

The filter works great... and i like that it's removing things like pharmaceuticals from our drinking water! Plus, if you replace this as required it keeps your ice maker and water dispenser working... you don't change these and you're going to have maintenance issues for your ice maker down the road!

I have only purchased GE Replacement Filters for my GE Refrigerator. I have sought replacement filters in other stores, but could only find them at Best Buy, or Online. The prices have risen for this particular water filter throughout the years, but the quality and performance has never failed .I would highly recommend this filter to my friends.

This water filter was easy to install and works very well.

This filter supposes to be replaced every 6 months. I used the old one for about 12 months and the water became very slow. Once I put in the new MWF filter, water blasts out perfectly. Water tastes perfectly fine. Highly recommend it!

it seems to help water taste better. very expensive at around fifty dollars. a reverse osmosis would probably be much better.
