Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the gameplay, action, story, and price of Resident Evil 6. Many found the campaign engaging, particularly Leon's, and appreciated the improved resolution. However, some felt the game lacked the horror elements of previous installments and had control issues, while others found the split-screen mode challenging. The difficulty level was also a point of discussion, with some finding it too easy.

A Solid Game With Big Shoes To Fill

Resident Evil 6 is a solid game with lots to do. Just beating the game once takes almost 30 hours on normal difficulty. It consists of 4 campaigns Leon, Chris, Jake, and Ada. The best campaign is by far is Leon's. It has the best mixture of action, exploring, and good ole' Resident Evil scares that harks back to Resident Evil 4 (my favorite game of the series). Chris's was my least favorite. It is more action oriented but lack of ammo is really annoying. And because is supposed to be action, not stealth, there aren't ways to avoid conflicts like the other campaigns. However, annoyances aside, it's a solid game that was well worth the $13 I paid for it (I have GCU). It runs at a solid 60 fps at 1080p which is nice bump from last gen's 720p. All in all, I would recommend it to any Resident Evil fan.

I like the game even if the horror element isn't there. I would of like a scare moment that would of jolted me, but it didn't happen.

I've read that this game didn't get a great reception, but in my opinion, RE6 is one of the best in the franchise. I get that it's not heavy on the horror aspect, but in terms of a-kicking, I think it's a blast. First of all, it's awesome for playing with friends, secondly, the gameplay mechanics are excellent. The other games require a system prompt before you can perform a melee attack. Here, you can kick, punch, bash with the butt of your weapons. You can even do floor slides and rolls, shooting from a laid-out position (Piers Nivan). All this can be done at will without waiting for a system prompt. Personally, I would love to see more RE games like this one. How could they improve? I'd like to see a stronger storyline with more Survival/Horror elements like The Last of Us. TLU had GREAT gameplay mechanics and a solid storyline. Blend the best of the world of RE with that of TLU, and you'll have a mind-blowing game. And make it a couch co-op. Who says you have to kick mutant zombie butt alone? And who says you can't do it with style? RE6 gives you that style!

It's a CapCom game. Split Screen is a good mode, minus the off-set screens and wasted pixels left or right in the black of the flat screen. It wastes a lot of screen, turning a 55" into a what appears to be 22" per player screen. And they make it nearly impossible to find Co-Op mode, having to refer to one's favorite search engine in an enraged panic the first time. All in all though, the gameplay is that of a Resident Evil, just barely consistent. Rated against RE4, 6 out of 10.

The game is good only reason I got it was because she made me, she bought battlefield one at first thinking she call play as well but was upset when she found out, now I couldn't enjoy the game with out her complaining that she wants to join in and help me heal my health like really I'm gonna respawn back in the game regardless so she took my card and bought this game now I can't play nothing else till we beat resident evil 6 so I broke my PlayStation because she stole all the bullets and told me to stay behind her while she fight because she's my "protector"

Amazon Verified Purchase Not much needs to be said about this game. Most of us either hated it or loved it back in 2012, so I'll just bring up a couple facts. The game takes 18GB to load onto your HDD. The game looks just a hair sharper then it did on the PS3. It controls the exact same. It is $20 dollars. If you enjoyed it 4 years ago you will enjoy going through it again, if you hate this game well, please don't be rude and write a 1 star review cause you have nothing better to do then troll.

A Solid Port of a Mixed Game

I played RE6 on ps3 and liked 1 or 2 of the 5 campaigns, but never tried the multiplayer/online. This one is slightly prettier and runs smoother but it's the same game. It's also on me, but I confused Mercenaries mode (in this) with Raid Mode (in RE;R2 etc) and I don't like the former nearly as much. Good thing it's a budget title. Onward to RE5 and 4!

If you're a Resident Evil fan, you've already gone through this before on the previous gen systems. A few touch ups but nothing that stands out other than connection to other players is slightly improved and of course running at 1080p. If you played the PS3/XB360 version completely, you may want to save your money. The price makes it intriguing though.

It may not be the best in the series but at the price point of $19.99 it worth picking up. More action then horror but that's ok. 4 different stories that cross paths and all the dlc is included.

I didn't find this effort as good as the previous outing, but still a worthwhile addition to an underrated franchise. I say underrated because although it's spawned countless games and movies, I think most people just say "oh great, another Resident Evil game" and move on while those who actually purchase and play are rewarded with an excellent experience in the muddle horror game genre. Solid outing.

What is considered a let down in the Resident Evil franchise this remaster looks incredible and a lot of fun especially if you go at it with a friend. I am a hard core resident evil fan and yes this game is not a true horror adventure like the originals but it gets a bad wrap. Worth every cent at $20 is a steal cnsidering its includes all the DLC, runs at 1080p and 60 fps! Ignore the hates and scoop it up.

I love the resident evil series and while this game didn't follow the format we were used to it was still fun and entertaining to play. The graphics on the ps4 are just a bit better than the original but it still looks good. At times the movement seems a bit jolted or delayed but its not a huge issue or distraction from the game. It was still fun to play and love that its on the ps4 now.

Resident Evil 6 is considered the weakest of the Resident Evil main franchise. There are many reasons for this such as the Michael Bay stylized frequent explosions and set pieces to the rampant Quick Time Events. The story isn't the best and there is a lot of backtracking with all the individual campaigns. For those who favor the traditional survivor horror experience, you will find it strange to be using cover shooting in a Resident Evil game. Nevertheless, the game's combat system is more fleshed out and being able to shoot, while moving is a huge plus compared to earlier games (the Revelation games have adopted this). The more in-depth melee and countering system gives you more option aside from just using your guns. The game's story is also a decent length with four campaigns each lasting about five hours each. Fortunately, you don't have to babysit your A.I. partner though the game is best played in co-op. The best part about this remaster is that the game runs at a higher framerate that usually hits 60 fps. For RE6, this is a huge improvement since the game's combat is much more faster paced compared to earlier entries. This version also includes all the DLC for mercenaries and the various mode. If you haven't played RE6 yet, this is the version to get and for the price it's definitely worth picking up given its wealth of content.
