Had serious doubts after playing the demo, but this is one of the best games of 2017. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to play with VR. Recently got the Platinum trophy and didn't feel like it was a slow time doing it either. While I miss the original look of RE, this 1rst person view is very intense. Next time, I hope for a choice of 3rd or 1rst person view. Oh and great teeth all around in this game. Made me want to brush my teeth.

I rented this game and only made it half way through. I recently bought PSVR and started game over from beginning. It is incredible. Scary and fun! A must play for VR owners.

Scary game, a little deviation from what we are use to in the Resident Evil series, but for the price, has to be in your collection along with the other resident evils.

Amazing graphics and game play. Can make you jump in certain situations. Love the game and would recommend it to anyone who wants some gore and a scare here and there.

Great application of VR. Scary having someone run up to you not being put down by bullets! Took some getting used to for aiming. Still working through the whole game.

I was looking forward to being scared, and this one delivers. You follow the main character Ethan as he searches for his wife. He meets the Baker family, and things really go downhill from there. If you need another game to keep in the Halloween spirit, Resident Evil 7 will be perfect.

I have been excited to play this game especially once it was announced to have PSVR support. The game plays great and feels right playing in VR. I'm playing through the story in VR as my first time through and after 6 hours I have felt no motion sickness and the creepy atmosphere is made better because of VR. Highly recommend if you have VR and if not it is still a solid first person exploration adventure type game.

I mostly bought this game because i'd heard it offerred the most complete game experience for PSVR. If you purchase this for your PSVR you won'the be disappointed.

from beginning to end. Yeah this isn't your typical Resident Evil game of old but I have to say this new direction Capcom is moving in really has me excited for future titles. Graphics are very nice and the VR mode is simply terrifying. This is a must have for anyone looking to get spine chills. This game is a good 10 hours to pass but with future DLC coming soon this game has endless possibilities. A must have

I'll be honest with you all right now, the only reason why I was so interested in playing this game in the first place was because of the demo, and because the (unfair) death of Silent Hills. Capcom has proven with this game that they can indeed listen and for better or for worse give us dedicated and diehard RE fans a game we deserve! I like RE, and I'm a real fan of the story and lore, but I have to say that the last group of games in the series ( 4,5,6 ) were real letdowns. I'm all for trying something new and changing paths and directions to keep the core story fresh but those games IMO where nothing more than attempts to turn RE into a mainstream trendy action game that would appeal to a overly broad audience. Now after the mess that was RE6 we are finally back to "basics" and the end result is absolutely wonderful!! Real puzzles, files that you actually want to collect and read, actually having to run back to the save room to regroup/ unload items, conserving ammo, and above all else, ACTUALLY BEING SCARED TO OPEN A DOOR OR COLLECT AN ITEM THAT CAUSES AN EVENT TL;DR do yourself a favor. play this game. after that, do yourself another favor and play the RE0 RE remake collection. Understand WHY Capcom NEEDED to go back to their roots in the RE universe. You want a mindless action game where you shot "zombies" or anything else for that matter and see buckets of gore? play a SUDA51 game. at least he wont slap a RE name on the title and it'll be more enjoyable to play.

Resident Evil 7 is by far one of the scariest games out there. RE7 brought back a lot of its old nostalgic roots. With limited ammo and health items, saving system that resembles the typewriter system, and genuine uneasy atmosphere, I smiled as I was playing. I have been playing RE since RE: Zero on the GameCube. If you are still not sure, go checkout the Midnight Edition Demo and go tell Aunt Rhody.

I've been an RE fan since the first game came out ages ago and my hopes were high for this one after so-so games in the franchise the past few years. This game did not disappoint! The graphics are excellent, the story is great, and the monsters are even better than I anticipated! It's a much quicker game than others in the franchise, but I hope that, that means there will be more games in the near future.

Very fun game with or with using it in virtual reality

As a fan of the franchise, I had been disappointed with resident 6. This game is a fresh perspective while delivering the resident evil type scares I wanted.

I played this game through in HDR and it looked great. After trying it in VR I will never go back. The realism in the 3D world is stunning to say the least.

just bought my VR last week and this game keeps me busy and focused. I love it. I do recommend playing alone as my husband makes fun of me when I get scared.

This is much closer to the spirit of the original and Resident Evil 2 on PS1. The atmosphere is genuinely creepy and some of the jump scares are entirely unexpected. The game plays out essentially as a series of extended boss battles, so this marks a bit of a change from its predecessors since there aren't all that many random roaming one off enemies. I would have preferred this to be a 3rd person perspective title, not only because of the motion sickness factor, but also because it's difficult to move quickly and effectively with RE's tank controls. Once you know the story and puzzle solutions, this game has limited replay value.

I had my doubts. I really did. RE7 did not disappoint! The perspective may have changed, much like how RE4 did (but a first person horror game is hardly progressive) but this still plays like a classic RE title. Not a huge fan of the DLC so far but there's still one to go!

This was on sale and I couldn't past this up. Loved the series since the original one. It has returned to it's roots of slow and scary intense situations.

I used this to play with my Playstation VR and it is an awesome experience!!! just make sure to take a break after an hour or so. REALLY Scary!! I love it
