This game wears a lot of its horror inspirations on its sleeves and embraces and does so subtly that it isn't over done and has legitimate scares. This game brings back the classic Resident Evil formula and perfects the resource scavenging antics that it once pioneered 20 Years ago. Controls are tight and keeps the anxiety high. After the first few hours the game feels like a true resident evil.

This game is absolutely terrifying with VR. It will truly creep you out and immerse you into the darkness. I had a few scares and only played for an hour.

I couldn't of asked for a more runner scary game than this one right here let me tell you that the vr experience was so real and visceral that I opted out in playing in vr mode due to the fact it was soooooo soooooo scary. This is coming from a guy who absolutely loves horror films. I own so many horror films it's not even funny. You wouldnt think it would scare me as much as it really did.

After reading many reviews, I finally purchased RE7 and I'm so glad that I did. It is true when they say it is the best VR experience. Highly recommend!

Resident Evil is back to the survival horror that was loved and praised one the playstation 1. Playing on the PVR brings a whole new meaning of horror.

When using it in VR mode. It is pretty intense. Get the ultimate scare and put headphones on and play in the dark. Controls take time getting used to.

No flimsy hourlong tech demo nor a simple proof of concept, this is a meaty, astonishing way to scare yourself senseless in a completely new way. On a television screen it is a great game; within the suffocating simulation afforded by the Playstation VR headset, it is a gaming experience I will remember fondly for a long time. Brilliantly done, and a roadmap for developers to follow.

I've been a Resident Evil fan since the very first game and, up until now, RE2 was my favorite since the 90's. That all changed with RE7. This game is everything you want in an RE game. A tense, terrifying world to survive mixed with clever puzzles, limited ammo, and just a hint of science fiction make this the best game in the series. Take it from a long time fan, this is a must buy!

This game is absolutely amazing. The VR mode is straight up terrifying! Not for the faint of heart, this newest installment is by far the scariest.

Brings back the survival horror and suspense the original RE games were known for. Filled with unsettling music and a man that stalks you and breaks through walls like the Kool Aid man, theres no end to the paranoia. Coupled with VR, you'll regret playing this on your own, in the dark, with a dog that will randomly lick your hands at key moments. Worth getting VR for this title.

While on the surface this may not seem like a Resident Evil game at all, the return to horror is absolutely welcome for a series that has fallen into predictably cheesy action gameplay. This time, you're back to being vulnerable, weak, and at the mercy of the terrifying environment and monsters around you. It's a hard reset the series desperately needed. A great scary, gory time.

Within in its history, the Resident Evil series has seen its fair share of changes, from the isolated, pre-rendered background, tank-controls of the original games that placed emphasis on inventory management and puzzle-solving, to the more recent over-the-shoulder, shoot-first-ask-questions-later style games, with lots of different spin-offs (of varying quality) thrown in-between. Resident Evil 7 returns to the puzzle-driven, exploration-focus of the original games, but with an all-new first-person perspective. At first glance, this can seem like a copy of Outlast/P.T./Amnesia (which put more emphasis on running away from things), but don't be fooled; this is Resident Evil through and through. The halls of the Baker house creak as you navigate your way down their dark hallways, hearing the sounds of things breaking in the floors above you (make sure you wear good headphones!), and monsters stalk the halls waiting to catch you off-guard. I played the entirety of this game in V.R., and I must say, if you have the ability, it is a MUST. Without getting into spoiler territory, there are just things you absolutely need to see coming at you that don't have the same impact outside of it. As a longtime Resident Evil fan, it feels great to see the series I love return to its roots, along with bringing in some new tricks to make feel completely fresh.

This game brought back the old school creepy vibe. It was such a step up from the last two resident evil games. I strongly recommend this game.

This game truly blew me away as one of the best horror games. As a fan of the series it definitely brought back its roots. Worth he purchased!

These VR games are great. To the adults: get a game like Resident Evil or Rush of Blood or similar. Get alone in the house late night when it’s dark and quiet. Put in the game and slip on the VR. If nothing else, at the very least, it will take you away and make you forget everything else for a bit. That alone is priceless. But I’m pretty sure you’ll love it.

This game is scary, entertaining, and all encompassing. It draws one in and one feels as if they are truly in the game and it doesn't let up

After a sub sub par entry with RE6 the series is back with a bloody vengeance with RE7. Got it for $20 on Black Friday and well worth it.

Resident Evil 7 is unlike any other in the franchise. The game sets focus on an infexted dysfinxtional family of 5 instead of the typical zombie infected civilian route. Like in the original Resident Evil, re7 takes place at a large manor in the backwoods of some town. You're searching for your wife who is been missing for two years. The game has a very creepy atmosphere along with tons of jump scares and adredaline racing controller clenchers. There are a few puzzles in the game, and unfortunately they lack any real substance for the most part, but some are still kind of fun.

As a lifelong Resident Evil fan, I have shared the pain of most fans through the last couple of releases. Well friends, this is the Best Resident Evil game in YEARS! The switch to first person is welcome here and really ups the intensity. The Baker family are great adversaries and the story is the best in years. I have to place this next to RE4 and RE2. AMAZING.

Great game. huge fan of the resident evil games specially the originals. This is definitely one of the resident evil games you must play.
