I use an iphone. The remote control only works on the iphones volume up down. So, once you put the iphone in the headset you have to take it out again to start and stop the videos. But ...you say...there is button on the top of the headset that is supposed to push a capacitive pen type stylus..yes there is but it doesn't reach the screen. You can actually use a magnet though if you scrape the magnet across the front of the headset from left to right or right to left it can work for those videos that only want a touch to continue. The headset is not terribly expensive though and it actually provides a nice VR experience AND i can fit my glasses in the headset under the cushion so that's good too. Lastly it comes with a bluetooth headset that works pretty well and keeps you immersed in the experience.

This headset is fun to use but it has a lot of weird issues.
First of all, let's look at the issues. The biggest one is that to use it, you need to take it off every 30 seconds, to do most phone features you need to completely take off the headset and remove the phone. Second of all, the manual is very confusing and seems to detail a different model of the headset.
Otherwise, it looks nice and it functions well on 360 videos and VR apps. It is easy to activate and takes only a minute. It's comfortable while using it.
It's good for its price but not the definitive VR headset by a long shot.

I was very intrigued to want to try these new VR headsets from Retrak. They were at a great price during the Holiday season and I decided to get two for my daughter and myself. I must say the concept is great, but there are a lot of Con's more so than the Pro's. First off, both say they come with a charger or (Micro USB cable), but neither of them had one in the box. The bluetooth earbuds are cool, but not if you have no way of charging them. I found the many apps that were available were below average and found that most Movie Advertisements through VR were better. The headset was comfortable, but I found that after about 30-40 minutes I was beginning to get a head ache. The controller is a little confusing and unfortunately doesn't work with a lot of the VR apps which makes it frustrating. I would say that the product was well made, but again I think these would be cooler in about a year or so, when there are better apps and games available. Retrak is on the right track, but I would suggest waiting.

Bought this for my son and he loves playing with it. The VR uses a Phone, so be ready to loan your phone to them. This did not fit my iPhone 7 plus, but it fit my other smaller devices, such as an iPhone 6s.

Works like it says but had a hard time with the controller. Stopped using when the "new" wore off. Still for the price it is good.

My younger relatives seem to like it. It was mediocre for me, as I felt that the one that came with my Samsung phone was that much better in quality. Not bad for 30 bucks, though.

I bought this item as a present for a child. The headset is pretty comfortable and I found it to be durable. I only wish instructions included.

I read the reviews and it sounded safe. The first try at using it the phone holder inside broke even though it was suppose to fit my phone . And the whole thing just looked cheap. We took it back soon after. You definitely pay for what you get. Oh and the controller didn't work as well

Having tried both high end VR in the form of the Vive and low end in the form of Google Cardboard, I picked this up largely on a whim so that I could have a cardboard style headset with a decent strap to show off to people without needing to go through the trouble of setting up the larger Vive.
Unfortunately, I can't say I was left very impressed by the overall experience.
The build quality is cheap throughout. Moving parts are stiff and worryingly fragile, the controller is literally held together by friction, and the "Bluetooth earphones" barely work and offer some of the worst audio quality I've ever heard. The headset itself is fine apart from a large piece right at the top of your vision used to support a button to interact with the phone. I tried making several adjustments, but none of them made it any less distracting. I have to say I was more impressed by the Cardboard viewer I assembled myself.
I had some hopes for the controller, but as it turns out it wasn't particularly useful either. As I mentioned earlier it's barely held together at all. It came apart in my hand after getting a thumbnail caught in one of the seams, and with so little pressure that I barely noticed. It's also oriented in a way that makes it pretty clear that they just put a cheap Bluetooth game controller in a different case that's been molded to mimic the layout of a remote or motion controller. To move the cursor up requires you to move the analog stick to the right, and most of the buttons are positioned directly under your palm. Given that you are expected to use this without being able to see it and that dropping it would probably make the pieces fly apart, I can't imagine ever being able to do much with it.
The one saving grace is that they do seem to have fairly decent lenses in the headset. They're not going to give you a great field of view, but they do at least offer IPD adjustments that you don't get with a cardboard viewer. And the head strap is pretty nice. If you can live with the v-shaped chunk taken out of the top of your vision, the headset itself isn't that bad. But personally I'd either stick with cardboard or swing for something a little nicer with better build quality.

More Hype, less functional. I read the review by someone that continued use for 30-40min will give you a headache & I still bought it. Used day 1 for an hour straight. It was great fun at the beginning, but soon started to get an headache. Returned the next day.

A good product for what it is. It is definitely NOT and Occulus or Gear VR, but for the price point, it is not bad. Very much plastic construction. Don't sling this thing around. Good unit to get your feet wet, see if you like it without spending a bunch of cash.

Got this product on a bit of a whim, while walking through the store. Well packaged, and good value. I think the product is pretty good, given that it's an early development product cycle. I think it will be interesting to see what happens with these devices in a few years.

I Like the U tube well on this unit. The phone goes into unit in its case, this is a plus, I dont take things apart to fit into the unit. It is Comforable to wear. I Like the remote control use. The Blue tooth head phones are a great item, the unit is easy to use for beginners and seasoned users.

Product was ok, but wasn't made very well. The button on top didn't work all the time, it was on a poorly made spring system. Compatible apps were hard to use and not very exciting.
