This movie has been my fav since I was little ! I love it better than Wizard of Oz . I always have been a fan !!!! Must have for any Oz fans !!!

This is a darker story about Dorothy's return to Oz. As a kid the Wizard of Oz was scary with the wicked witch and her flying monkeys but this was an even scarier return to Oz. Happy Halloween.

WHOA! Just when I thought I'd seen it all, here comes a retina rotter to say differently............. I didn't even know this one existed until a recent Incredibly Strange Film site visit enlightened me. This is definately NOT the same telling as the wildly popular one with Judy Garland. HOWERVER, it MAY be more in tune with the books original intent. From Disney, beautifully shot, very creative, and a tad disturbing, this 30 plus year old gem is a must see for fans of Oz. New direction, new characters, and new brilliance by all involved, make this one fine production..... I only wish I had seen it sooner.......ENJOY!!!

I forgot how kinda creepy this movie is for kids.But I love it and it came out when I was in my teens,Good memories.

Watching this movie as a child, I enjoyed it. I'm a fan of The Wizard of Oz and wanted to add Return to Oz to my collection (even though it's not the same characters, etc.).

This version of Return to Oz is creepy but visually fantastic. Overall, well liked and a nice classic.

I have loved this movie since I was a child, could not find it anywhere!! So happy Best Buy has it available online. Only complaint is it isn’t a Blu Ray.

My kids loved it. It was a bit different/scary for younger eyes but overall a good movie.

I remember when this movie came out in 1985 actually I was only 5 years old but my mum took me to see this film and instantly I loved it. The characters were different than most were used to but that's what made this movie so special. It was a darker turn into Oz which sets a different life to it that made you wonder more about the place with the yellow brick road. The movie is good for all ages really, and is another great movie that is under appreciated by others. (Much like The Black Cauldron another Disney Favorite) It makes me wish they would transfer this to Blu Ray for in High Def I bet it looks even more amazing. Hands down this movie is perfect for people who truly love movies. It sets a standard for film that rarely anyone uses any because they are all so generic or PC. This reminds me of the times when things weren't as complicated as they are now and movies did exactly what they needed to do and that's capture audiences and make people talk about it. Again definitely go buy it!

I remember watching this as a kid at my friends house, and so one summer when I was still in college and teaching at a school age summer program I thought oh it would be cool to watch that. BAD IDEA! We started watching it and I was surprised that I was allowed to see it when I was a kid. It's not a sexy movie, it's just very dark and trippy...I mean a lady has cut off all the beautiful women's heads and keeps them in cabinets in her bedroom...where she stores her original head and when the mood strikes her she will change to another head...The rest of the people of OZ have been turned to stone and it's guarded by these people called the "Wheelers". Needless to say we turned it off about 45 minutes into it because it was way to much for our kids. I would say it would be fine for a 10-11 year old, but not any younger!

First of all, I want to say that this movie is downright scary for young children. Technically a sequel to the Wizard of Oz, but does not have lovable charm like it. The storyline is dark, VERY DARK, but very good. This is one of those movies that dont get the credit that it deserves. Worth owning!

Just as I remember from childhood. Very creepy. But I enjoyed it.
