Disappointed with this baby monitor! The display screen constantly turns off, leaving me in the dark about my baby's safety. And to make matters worse, it randomly starts playing music in the baby's room, disrupting sleep schedules. This is far from the reliable monitoring system I was looking for.

Stopped working after a month, when it’s dark in the room, you can’t see anything from the camera. Quality is poor, shuts off constantly and screen goes black multiple times a day. Will be returning it.

I’ve only had it up for 8 days and It’s off the network with no instructions on how to get it back up. The manual does not direct you and everything online is so general. A huge waste of money and time.

Does what I need it to do, which is monitor my baby when I'm not in the room. The audio can get very static-y if you increase the volume very much but it works for our family.

Video on monitor cuts out randomly to a black screen for 5 minutes so you cant see or hear anything and the camera will play music at random with the monitor in a whole different room, its creepy.

Decent baby monitor, but has some annoying flaws

The Rexing Baby Monitor is a decent baby monitor, but it does have it's flaws. It is a wireless video monitor that has a color display with two-way audio as well as night vision. When you first open the package, everything seems pretty high quality and well packed. But once you start handling the monitor itself, you can tell it really isn't the highest quality. It's actually quite a bit thinner than I was expecting, abut the size of the first gen iPhone. And it is quite light feeling. Setup is really easy, you just plug in the camera and plug in the monitor and you're good to go, that's really all there is to it. You can control the camera using the monitor, moving it up, down, left, and right, and also zoom in to 10x. However, the zoom function is a bit frustrating, as it's either 1x or 10x, there is no in-between. And as far as controlling the camera, this is done using the monitor's touch sensitive controls. This is probably the most annoying part of the monitor to me. I would have much preferred physical button with some kind of tactile feedback. The touch buttons are too sensitive, and I often found myself accidentally touching them just when handling the monitor normally. Also, the buttons don't light up or anything, so if you're in a dark room (like in the middle of the night), it is almost impossible to accurately hit thebutton that you want. This whole interface just needed to be redesigned. It doesn't work well for a baby monitor. As far as the functionality of the camera and monitor, they actually work really well. I have a two story house where my baby's room is upstairs, and I can use the monitor downstairs with no problems. Video and audio come through very clearly. The resolution of the monitor is not very high, but it is enough to get the job done. As for the camera, it says it is 720p on the website, but the box and documentation say 1080p. So I'm not sure which it actually is, but I don't think it's super important anyway since the monitor's screen resolution is so much lower. The only reason it would matter is if you are going to use the record function. I didn't test this function out because I don't see myself using it very often, if at all. But it's nice to have the option. The monitor also has a handful of other useful features, like built-in lullabies, feed reminders, cry detection, and temperature monitoring. This is alll very useful and works really well. One thing I didn't really like was the volume implementation. There is just a single volume control which controls the video volume as well as the menu volume. While navigating the menu there are some rather loud beeps, which I would prefer to turn off. But there is no way to turn them off, and as stated before, the volume is tied to the camera volume, so if you turn it down, you're also turning down the volume of the video feed. I just wish it were separate or that it was easier to navigate to, or there was dedicated physical buttons on the monitor or something. Just another poor UI implementation.
Overall, this is a fine baby monitor, but I think there are better options out there. There are just too many issues with the user interface that would make this one annoying to use over time.

A good no-frills baby monitor

A good simple baby monitor is what you get.
Out of the box, you get the camera, monitor, and the power cables for both. They are unfortunately micro-USB and not USB-C. While they did not feel flimsy, I was not too impressed with the build quality. The monitor is a lot lighter than I expected and while weight does not correlate with quality, it also did not feel like it could hold up to a lot of abuse.
Setup is very straight forward. The monitor and camera pair instantly. I did not test the 1000 feet claim too hard but the monitor stayed connected to the camera at opposite ends of my place. The image quality is decent. It is supposedly 1080p but records 720p video. The image quality is just decent enough to make sure the little one is not up to no good. Of note, you have to have your own micro SD card if you want to record. You can zoom in 10x without too much loss in image quality. Of note, I could not find a way to zoom in less. It is either 10x or normal. I just found myself not using the zoom function. The night vision is decent so it definitely can give you peace of mind at night. The lullaby feature was a nice touch. You can choose between eight lullabies. It keeps going until you stop it so it would have been nice to have a timer or automatic stop.
Some issues that I had were with moving the camera. So you can control the camera view with the monitor. The controls were....very frustrating. There is a lag and you have to hold for a few seconds before the camera registers it and starts to move. Honestly, getting the correct positioning because of this lag was already annoying. In addition, the control icons were not too accurate. I have fat fingers but the controls are wide enough apart that there shouldn't have been issues. Sometimes I would want it to go left/right, and it would go up/down and vice versa. There is also no tactile feedback. This where physical controls probably would have been better. I tended to just try and not use the video controls. The temperature monitoring is a nice feature. However, it constantly blinks on and off. Which can be really annoying. In addition, I wish I could turn off the volume when toggling through the menu. It is loud and annoying. Unfortunately, it is tied to the volume of the audio too. The two-way audio is fine as well. The audio on the monitor side is a little soft but talking through the camera was decent.
All in all, it is a decent simple baby monitor. The lullabies are a nice touch. It does have some details that cause mild annoyances. While not the most expensive baby monitor, it definitely is not cheap so it would be nice to address the small things.
